2023.06.05 22:38 Few_Condition7129 Will there ever be a cure for post-covid parosmia? (Plus other issues)

So I posted this before with no answers yet: https://www.reddit.com/AskDocs/comments/13r3tmo/weird_mentalemotional_symptoms_and_i_dont_know/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
I still have those issues but now I'm curious about parosmia as well. (30f 175lb no smoking or anything of the sort) I've lived with parosmia since June 2019. Still nothing tastes right or smells right and I've tried all the weird smell training and what not and zinc and alpha lipoic acid etc. None of it works. About 3 days ago this has gotten worse and I have no idea why. Now everything tastes like garbage and I also get nauseous immediately when I get hungry and I just don't understand what's going on with me. I can't keep living like this and I'm still waiting to get in to see a new GP. I don't know what to do at this point and it's really depressing and making my anxiety spike because everything tastes disgusting and I'm nauseous half the time. Help??

2023.06.05 05:03 Penicillen A look at the proposed mechanisms of CHS and possibly helpful information

I've personally never experienced CHS, but I did develop a bit of in-character health anxiety after learning about it. As such, I did a bit of research on the biological mechanisms behind CHS and wanted to share my thoughts with you all. This is intended as food for thought, I am NOT encouraging anyone who has quit or is trying to quit to continue smoking cannabis.
As many of you know, hot baths/capsaicin treatment can temporarily ease symptoms. The proposed mechanism is activation of TRPV1 receptors which sense heat, play a role in body temperature regulation, emesis, and are likely downregulated (i.e. disappear from nerves) with heavy chronic cannabis use:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5758720/#:~:text=TRPV1%20is%20expressed%20in%20area,gastric%20motility%2C%20and%20abdominal%20pain.
https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/23/17/10016
At the risk of sounding "bro-sciencey", I was curious about what could be done to speed up the upregulation of these TRPV1 receptors, possibly expediting recovery. One such molecule is nerve growth factor (NGF) which plays a significant role in the nervous system, including sensitivity to pain in humans. In an attempt to understand why NGF might have this effect on humans, researchers conducted a (rat) study that clearly demonstrated a primary mechanism by which NGF increased TRPV1 expression and activity:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4452557/
Even though this is a rat study, this mechanism stands a good chance of at least partially explaining NGF's action on TRPV1 in humans.
Now, on to possible natural substances that increase NGF in the human body. However, keep in mind direct research in humans is scarce and most studies are conducted on rats:
Some synthetic compounds that have limited human research, I urge caution and for everyone to educate themselves if you choose to engage with these compounds:
Another proposed mechanism for CHS is CB1 desensitization. There's much less research on upregulation of CB1 receptors but some factors are known to increase receptor density:
I'm sure there are other factors both undiscovered and missed in this analysis. Again, I wanted to open an educational discussion about what little we know about biology and this condition. Always educate yourself about anything you put into your body as best you can, listen intently to your body, and speak to a physician if you have any concerns.

Can you guys share your biotin tablet details and share how many times you are asked by doctor to take Biotin tablet.
Asking this because a doctor prescribed me to take a Biotin tablet once a day. But another 2 doctors from same clinic asked me to take the same tablet twice a day. I just want to know what is the standard dosage and standard times to the biotin medication.
Adding my Biotin medication image for reference. I am currently taking this medication once per day. Need you suggestions on this

Caution: It's important to remember that these evaluations are guides to potential health concerns and not definitive measures of a product's safety or efficacy. They are based on individual ingredients rather than any negative effects the final product may have. The way ingredients interact in a formulation can influence their potential impact, and the presence of a specific ingredient does not automatically equate to harm when used in a product. It's always crucial to do your own research, consider the product as a whole, and keep in mind that personal reactions can vary greatly. When making decisions about personal care products, it is recommended to consult with healthcare professionals.

Brief: This baby formula appears well-rounded with a comprehensive blend of macronutrients, micronutrients, and beneficial additives such as 2'-O-Fucosyllactose, a human milk oligosaccharide, for gut health. However, the first ingredient, lactose, might not be suitable for babies with lactose intolerance. The formula also contains palm olein oil, which in some infants can cause harder stools and reduce calcium absorption. Moreover, Vitamin A Acetate is included - while essential, excessive consumption could lead to vitamin A toxicity, although this is unlikely given strict regulatory guidelines for infant formula. Lastly, soy is present, which could be a concern for babies with a soy allergy. It's always advisable to consult with a healthcare provider when choosing an infant formula to ensure it meets the child's specific needs.

Ingredients: Lactose, Vegetable Oils (Palm Olein, Soy, Coconut, High-Oleic Safflower Or High-Oleic Sunflower), Whey Protein Concentrate (Reduced In Minerals), Nonfat Dry Milk, And Less Than 2% Of: Soy Lecithin, Calcium Citrate, Potassium Citrate, Corn Maltodextrin, Potassium Chloride, 2'-O-Fucosyllactose, C. Typical ingredients description and side effects

  • Soy Lecithin
    • Soy lecithin is a common ingredient found in various food products, including baby formulas. It is derived from soybean oil and is used as an emulsifier, helping to blend and stabilize the ingredients in the formula. Soy lecithin is generally considered safe for consumption, but like any food ingredient, it can have potential side effects or considerations.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Allergies or Sensitivities: Soy is one of the top food allergens, and some individuals may have allergies or sensitivities to soy products, including soy lecithin. Allergic reactions can vary in severity and may include symptoms such as hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, or digestive issues. If your baby has a known soy allergy or shows signs of an allergic reaction after consuming a baby formula containing soy lecithin, it is important to discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
      • Digestive Sensitivities: Some individuals, including babies, may have digestive sensitivities to soy-based products. This can manifest as symptoms like gas, bloating, colic, or diarrhea. If your baby experiences any of these symptoms after consuming a baby formula containing soy lecithin, you may consider discussing alternative formulas with your pediatrician.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Potassium Hydroxide
    • Potassium Hydroxide is commonly used in the food industry as a pH regulator or a food stabilizer. It helps to maintain the acidity or alkalinity of food, which is important for flavor, preservation, and food safety. In baby formula, Potassium Hydroxide is used to adjust the pH to make it as close to human milk as possible, to ensure optimal digestion and nutrient absorption.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Irritation: Potassium hydroxide is known to be caustic, meaning it can cause irritation or burns if it comes into direct contact with the skin or eyes in its pure form. However, in food products like baby formula, it's used in very diluted quantities that are safe for consumption.
      • Digestive Issues: If consumed in large amounts, potassium hydroxide could potentially cause digestive issues such as nausea or vomiting. However, the small amounts used in food products are unlikely to cause such effects.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 5

  • Ferrous Sulfate
    • Ferrous sulfate is a type of iron supplement that's often added to baby formulas. Iron is an essential nutrient that's necessary for the production of hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. It's also worth noting that some infants may have difficulty absorbing iron from supplements like ferrous sulfate, which can potentially lead to issues such as iron deficiency anemia. However, most infants can absorb and utilize the iron in baby formula without issue.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Gastrointestinal Issues: These can include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, or stomach upset.
      • Iron Toxicity: Though very rare and typically associated with accidental ingestion of iron supplements, iron toxicity can be serious, causing symptoms like dizziness, rapid heartbeat, rapid breathing, fever, and in severe cases, can lead to organ damage.
      • Interference with Nutrient Absorption: Excessive iron can interfere with the absorption of other nutrients, such as zinc.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Tocopheryl Acetate
    • Tocopheryl Acetate is a form of vitamin E that is often added to baby formula, skincare products, and various other products. Vitamin E is an essential nutrient known for its antioxidant properties. It plays a crucial role in protecting cells from damage, supporting immune function, and promoting healthy skin and eyes. In the context of baby formula, tocopheryl acetate is generally safe and unlikely to cause side effects when consumed at levels that are within the recommended dietary allowances for infants. However, like any nutrient, it could potentially cause side effects if consumed excessively.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Bleeding: Vitamin E has mild anticoagulant properties, meaning it can prevent blood clots. While this is typically a good thing, in large amounts, it could potentially increase the risk of bleeding.
      • Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Cramps: Some people may experience digestive upset from consuming too much vitamin E.
      • Rash: Some individuals may have a skin reaction to topical use of tocopheryl acetate, though this is less relevant for its presence in baby formula
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

  • Zinc Sulfate
    • Zinc sulfate is a mineral that is frequently used in dietary supplements and baby formulas. Zinc is an essential nutrient that supports various body functions, including immune function, protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis, and cell division. It's particularly important for babies as they grow and develop.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Gastrointestinal Issues: Excessive intake of zinc can cause gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps.
      • Zinc Toxicity: While rare, severe overconsumption can lead to zinc toxicity, with symptoms including loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches. Long-term excessive intake could potentially interfere with the body's absorption of other essential minerals like copper and iron.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 6

  • Vitamin A Acetate
    • Vitamin A Acetate, also known as retinyl acetate, is a form of vitamin A that's often added to food products, including infant formula, due to its essential role in supporting vision, the immune system, and overall growth and development. It's generally safe for use in such products, but as with any nutrient, too much can lead to adverse effects. It's important to note that these side effects are generally associated with excessive intake over a prolonged period, not normal dietary consumption.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Vitamin A Toxicity (Hypervitaminosis A): This can occur if an infant is given too much Vitamin A over a long period of time. Symptoms can include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, and even hair loss in severe cases. However, it is extremely rare and typically associated with over-supplementation, not food sources.
      • Birth Defects: Consuming extremely high levels of Vitamin A during pregnancy can potentially lead to birth defects. However, this is not relevant to baby formula but rather a concern for pregnant women.
      • Interactions with other nutrients: High levels of Vitamin A can interfere with the absorption and utilization of other vitamins, such as Vitamin D and Vitamin K.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 9

  • Manganese Sulfate
    • Manganese sulfate is a mineral that's often used in dietary supplements and food products, including baby formula. Manganese is an essential nutrient that supports many body functions, including bone development, metabolism, and brain function. As of my knowledge, manganese sulfate is generally considered safe in the quantities typically found in food and formula, but excessive intake can lead to adverse effects
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Neurological Effects: High levels of manganese exposure have been associated with neurological issues, but this is generally associated with environmental exposure (like inhaling manganese dust), not dietary intake.
      • Interference with Iron Absorption: Manganese can interfere with the absorption of iron. This is generally not a problem with the levels of manganese found in baby formula, but it could potentially be an issue with very high levels of intake.
      • Digestive Issues: As with any mineral, consuming excessive amounts could potentially cause digestive issues like nausea or diarrhea.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 3

  • Phylloquinone
    • Phylloquinone is another name for Vitamin K1, an essential nutrient that plays a critical role in the body's blood clotting process. It's naturally found in foods like leafy green vegetables, and it's often added to infant formulas to ensure babies get an adequate amount of this nutrient. In the amounts typically found in infant formula, Phylloquinone is generally considered safe and side effects are rare. It's important to understand that these side effects are usually associated with very high doses of the vitamin, typically from supplementation, and not from dietary intake like in baby formula.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Allergic Reactions: Some people may be allergic to Phylloquinone. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. However, such reactions are extremely rare.
      • Interference with Blood-Thinning Medications: High doses of Vitamin K can interfere with the effectiveness of blood-thinning medications. This is not typically a concern for infants consuming baby formula but may be relevant in certain medical conditions.
      • Hemolytic Anemia or Jaundice in Newborns: Extremely high doses of Vitamin K can cause a condition called hemolytic anemia or jaundice in newborns, especially those with a condition called G6PD deficiency. However, the amount of Vitamin K in infant formula is well below the level that could cause this condition.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 4

  • Sodium Selenate
    • Sodium selenate is a form of selenium, an essential trace mineral necessary for many bodily functions. Selenium is important for DNA synthesis, reproduction, metabolism of thyroid hormones, and protection against oxidative damage and infection, among other things. For infants, selenium is crucial for normal growth and development.
    • Potential Side Effects:
      • Selenosis: Selenium can have adverse effects if consumed in excess. Selenium toxicity can lead to a condition called selenosis, which can cause symptoms such as hair loss, gastrointestinal upset, fatigue, irritability, and nerve damage.
      • Digestive Issues: In large amounts, selenium might cause digestive issues like nausea or diarrhea.
      • Skin Rash: In some cases, overconsumption of selenium can lead to skin rashes.
    • EWG Skin Grade: 8

The grading system used by EWG in the Skin Deep database is as follows:
1 to 2: Low hazard
3 to 6: Moderate hazard
7 to 10: High hazard

CarboFix Reviews Reddit
CarboFix is an all-natural weight loss supplement designed to “turn on” your metabolism in just 3-seconds to burn off stubborn fat easier than ever.
Taking CarboFix daily can increase fat burning, decrease hunger, increase weight loss, improve blood sugar control, and improve longevity.
If you’re struggling to lose weight, have hit a weight loss plateau, or just want an extra crutch to help you achieve your weight loss goals, then CarboFix may be right for you.

What is CarboFix?

As mentioned before, CarboFix is a natural weight loss supplement that claims to “activate” your metabolic switch to melt away fat faster than ever. It relies on five clinically studied ingredients proven to help you melt away fat without going on a restrictive diet or an impossible exercise program.

By using CarboFix on a daily basis, the manufacturer claims you can:
  • Safely burn fat and lose weight
  • Decrease your unhealthy food cravings
  • Improve your blood sugar levels
  • Enhance your energy levels
  • Improve your overall health & wellness
To reap the benefits of CarboFix, all you have to is start with one capsule thirty minutes before your first meal. Then take another capsule 30 minutes before dinner and give CarboFix some time to activate your metabolic switch for safe, sustainable weight loss results.
Best of all, CarboFix is designed to work for everybody. Whether you are a woman in her 30s or a man in his 50s, the ingredients in CarboFix can safely help you lose weight.

How Does Carbofix Work?

CarboFix follows a simple three-step process to achieve its results.
CarboFix works by the next steps:

Turns on AMPk
By ensuring that blood sugar levels are at an optimal amount, AMPk will reliably work without issues. All ingredients found in CarboFix will see to this as they all regulate blood sugar levels. The manufacturer calls this “a switch that needs to be switched on.”

Decrease Hunger and Cravings
The number one problem of borderline obese or obese people is that they can’t stop eating. It’s like their body is finding fuel for their increasing needs. However, this is an illusion. Therefore, CarboFix tries to stop this by giving you generous amounts of Chromium. This component can mitigate insatiable appetite, thereby controlling the sugar intake that you get and reducing your blood sugar levels.

Block Carbohydrates from Being Stored as Fat
CarboFix has ingredients that can block carbohydrates from being stored as fat. By lowering the blood sugar and activating the AMPk enzyme, the carbohydrates that get to your liver almost instantly get burned, thereby preventing the further storage of fat cells. Without the fat increase, your fat levels would have no choice but to go down.

How Long Does It Take For Carbofix To Work?

CarboFix only takes at least 24 hours to work. You’ll start to feel changes, but if you don’t, that’s okay. Different people have different responses to supplements, so you should be fine. Within 1 month, you should get visible results already. CarboFix is based upon a highly effective process, so it should work to the fullest. However, if you wish to achieve the best results, go for a six-month CarboFix program.

How Can Carbofix Help?

CarboFix can help you get back to your best shape, just like when you were still a teenager. Furthermore, it can help boost your self-esteem. Obesity has become an issue for many, and it can present a mental obstacle for some. What’s more, you’ll look younger when you take CarboFix, thanks to the antioxidants found in the supplement. Since it deals with an enzyme that burns energy, you’ll also feel more energetic, thereby helping you get through your day without any form of tiredness.

Who Is The Manufacturer Of Carbofix?

The manufacturer of CarboFix is Gold Vida, LLC. Nothing much is known about this company, besides that fitness instructor, Matt Stirling, probably runs it.“Probably” since he’s the image of the supplement and company. Currently, Gold Vida only has one supplement, which is CarboFix. They seem to be in the development of another unnamed supplement, but details are still lacking in the current moment of writing. The company is based at 2283 Yellowbirch Way, London, Ontario, Canada.

Where Is Carbofix Made?

CarboFix is made in a Good Manufacturing Practice certified facility in the United States of America.

How Did Carbofix Start?

CarboFix started as an accident. Matt Stirlingvisited his grandmother-in-law (who was unnamed) in a remote village called Giron in Ecuador when he stumbled upon her daily morning routine. He found that his grandma was going to the hills early in the morning and collecting herbs. She then pounded these herbs to produce an extract. He was always wondering why his grandmother-in-law, who was 99 years old already, looked young and healthy. He was even bothered that most people in the village were healthy and young-looking. Stirling thought that the tea must have been it. Later, he found that the extract was rich in Berberine, which is the primary ingredient of CarboFix. He went on and improved the formula, and thus CarboFix was born.

Are There Any Related Studies About Carbofix?

Yes! CarboFix was so heavily researched that there’s not much to discuss here. Most of the sources came from the National Center for Biotechnology Information, though. Still, it’s credible, even though most contents of that journal are not that concrete yet. He looked upon other sources from diabetes journals and legitimate studies from scientists on polyphenols (antioxidants).

What Are The Benefits Of Carbofix?

CarboFix has a lot of benefits. As you have already read, CarboFixmakes an unorthodox approach when it comes to weight loss. However, it seems to check out. With that said, here are some of the benefits that you can get when taking CarboFixdaily:

  • You can look younger thanks to the antioxidants found in the product
  • It increases your body’s fat-burning efficiency, thereby making it lose weight even more
  • It decreases unnecessary hunger. Gone are the days of being hungry all the time
  • Can lower blood sugar. Very useful for people who have high blood pressure.
  • It increases the life span. Healthy people often have better, longer lives.
  • Reduces fatigue since energy is produced all the time through all that fat burning.
  • 100% plant-based. There were no chemicals added to the supplement. This means that you get the most natural ingredients without the risk of chemicals and unwanted artificial things.
  • CarboFix benefits are an overall package for the body. It does not only deal with weight loss but can make you into the best version of yourself.

Ingredients in CarboFix

CarboFix utilizes six powerful natural ingredients in order to help you lose weight quickly and safely, yet for long-term success.

These are the six ingredients in CarboFix:
Chromium picolinate: Chromium is an essential trace mineral that can improve insulin sensitivity and speed up the metabolism of protein, carbs, and lipids (fats). Studies have found chromium supplementation can increase weight loss compared to a placebo.

Berberine HCL: Berberine is a yellowish herbal extract that appears to activate AMPK in your body. It also helps to lower insulin resistance to prevent blood sugar spikes. It also appears to activate the function of three fat-regulating hormones – insulin, adiponectin, and leptin.

Cinnamon bark extract: Cinnamon bark extract is one of the most popular herbal extracts for weight loss. It appears cinnamon works to speed up your body’s metabolism, reduce insulin sensitivity, combat inflammation, and enhance digestion. There’s also evidence that cinnamon bark can reduce appetite by making you feel fuller for longer.

Benfotiamine: Benfotiamine is a special version of thiamine that is more easily absorbed than traditional vitamin B1. Studies suggest that benfotiamine may block the harmful effects of glycotoxins, which trigger inflammation and speed up aging-related diseases. Studies also suggest benfotiamine may help combat neuropathy, improve thyroid function, relieve anxiety, and eliminate inflammation.

Naringin (from grapefruit): Naringin appears to help promote the digestion of carbohydrates, improve immune system activity, and to increase lipid oxidation. It is a natural flavonoid compound primarily found in grapefruit.

Alpha lipoic acid: Alpha lipoic acid is an organic compound found in every cell in your body. It has powerful antioxidant properties and research has shown in can improve AMPK, thus increasing the number of calories your body burns each day. Alpha Lipoic acid may also combat inflammation, improve nerve function, and improve blood sugar control as well.

As you can see, there are no additives, artificial ingredients, or stimulants in CarboFix – only 100% natural, safe ingredients.

CarboFix Side Effects – Is it Safe?

The best thing about CarboFix is that not only is it an effective weight loss supplement – it’s also very safe. In fact, as of this writing, there haven’t been any reports of any serious side effects while using the product.
This is not to say side effects cannot occur. Any supplement may cause minor side effects like headache, nausea, or stomach pain. However, the risk of experiencing these side effects while using CarboFix is incredibly low.
This is not to say that CarboFix is right for everyone. For example, pregnant or nursing mothers should not use this product – or any weight loss product for that matter. Likewise, this product is only intended for those over the age of 18. Therefore, you should not give the product to your children or take it if you are under 18.
Finally, if you are currently taking prescription medication or have a serious medical condition, then it is recommended you consult a doctor before trying this product.
Overall, CarboFix is both safe and effective. It is highly unlikely to negatively impact your health in any way due to its proven, safe formula. However, if you still feel that it may not be right for you, we recommend you consult a doctor before using the product.

CarboFix Pros and Cons

Besides coming across one of the cons early in this review, CarboFix is known to have lots of pros over its cons. It is a supplement that has good reviews across the board and is regarded as effective by many. CarboFix may have some ugly things on its side, but it works for most people, and that’s probably its best-selling factor overall.

2023.05.31 19:37 oldmike5 Is colitis an energy deficiency disease?

New here. UC 1980,been researching since 1980 colectomy now,but made it 41 years. Anyhow pains me to see all the problems, here, facebook and other sites. What I am going to post I knew about in 1980,tried bismuth, low S diet ect,did not work, but there is newer info. Also any diversion colitis in rectal stump seems to be gone. This going to be one long post, and my thinking. I can't really test the
concept since have no UC colon or rectal stump symptoms. 95% of colon left. This info not in mechanistic order.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6106826/
My main interest is diversion colitis, which I have solved.Diversion colitis is basically an energy deficiency disease, main stream thinking.Since no stool to supply nutrients. Also could be dysbiosis, or lack of bifido. So what fixes my diversion colitis.Feed the colonocytes cells from the blood supply.Acetyl L Carnitine for longer chain fatty acid transport.Sodium BHB for ketones, skips the butyrate beta oxidation step, which could be blocked for some reason,in UC.Might be why short chain fatty acid enemas don't work that well if at all.The colonocytes will also use acetate, and other longer chain fatty acids,if necessary.Probably a good idea to add in some COQ10.Very simple concept, does it work for UC,don't know.PS: UC is gone after cut out small portion of rectum.Up to date info 2023. Geeze like finding a needle in a haystack, again."To answer whether there is a curative therapy for ulcerative colitis, the answer is “yes” provided dietary conditions are met with and continued. "Their inhibiting sulfides/hydrogen sulfide/mercapto compounds and somehow nitric oxide probably and even some peroxides the combo inhibits beta oxidation of butyrate.Of course the FMT replacing possibly butyrate/short chain fatty acid producing bacteria, and lowering sulfate reducing bacteria.I can speculate if you correct/lower hydrogen sulfide the nitric oxide and excess peroxide might auto correct.I did low sulfur years ago,no effect but may have not done it correctly, who knows. What happens when not enough coq10 to go around. What happens when butyrate oxidation stops. You guessed it. Will it fix a totally messed up colon, with high SRB,weak mucus, lots of TNF and nitric oxideand depleted colonocytes, with activated immune system, depleted good bacteria. No idea.Son of a gun, part of the butyrate metabolic block,or is it most of it? Still believe you need to supply ketonesand possibly carnitine to feed the energy depleted colonocytes. If you don't smoke then a real wild guess is that cyanocobalamin might supply a little cyanide forhydrogen sulfide detox.
And the beat goes on.H2S breaks down mucus layer.

To be fair I copied this info from another forum I am on,but I put it there.
If you get any help with your UC with this info please post.
Oh yea many have had sulfur farts, prior to getting UC or are in a flair. Get the concept.
What I read here, facebook and other forums about the suffering and failing biologics is making me sick. Will also mention gut surgery is not fun. Hopefully the internet brain can solve the problem one day. 40 plus years researching the medical literature, this is what I come up with,as a distillation. Yea I know oxidation,TNF,dysbiosis, autoimmune, ect, ect, ect. Was researching before the internet, had to read books LOL
If you don't want to read all that stuff. Nutshell. Attempt to fix part of the H2S detox metababolic block in the electron transport chain with COQ10. Feed colonocytes from the blood supply, with acetyl L Carnitine and Sodium Beta Hydroxybutyrate. Ketone esters might work better, don't know. Even C8 MCT oil may help somewhat.

2023.05.31 09:27 Commercial-Ad-7856 Alpha halogenation

Could anyone help me to understand why an acid catalysed alpha bromination of cyclohexanone didnt work? I used Br2 (aq) as bromine source and the acid was 1M HCl. when i added the reagents to cyclohexanone the solution had a yellow/orange colour that faded during the reaction turning into a clear solution. But TLC, IR and 1H NMR all clearly show that the reaction did not happen.

2023.05.30 17:23 faxmulder Questions about Cyanidin-3-Glucoside

Hey guys,
If I've understood well, C3G could be useful for weight loss, muscle growth, energy, DOMS, mood and probably many other things. I put up a few pounds that I'd like to drop.
I have a few questions:
1) I've seen that it could lower blood sugars, so I'm wondering if it is somewhat similar to Alpha Lipoic Acid and could cause the same potential side effects, such as chronic hypoglycemia (I don't have diabetes)
2) Does it affect hormones or the immune system in any way?
3) Regarding body recompositioning, how does it compare to Epicatechin?
4) Is it necessary to perform weight training in order to fully reap its benefits? At the moment I'm focused on cardio (I play tennis)
5) Is there any supplement I should avoid when taking C3G?
Thank you!
