2023.03.22 17:32 ccsashab1 Using an adapter vs converter in the EU
Hi! If this is not the right place to post this question, I would be grateful for a nudge in the right direction.
I'm traveling from the USA to Europe for business soon and need to look sharp, so I'm bringing my hair straightenecurler. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how to use it abroad. I'll be in the UK, Netherlands, France, and Italy. The info on the hair appliance is as follows:
Rate voltage: AC100-240V
Rate Frequency: 50/60HZ
Rate Power: 50W
It does not have a dual power switch, and I'm not sure if it needs one. Can I use this with an adapter? Or do I need a voltage converter? If so, what kind?
I've watched a number of videos and read a number of articles on this and am still unsure. Would love any advice! Thank you.

2023.03.22 17:28 apocalypse-panda Discouraged after doctor's visit
I'm extremely annoyed because I've done standing tests at home and I very clearly have a consistently high heart rate of 30+ BPM difference but when I finally went to the cardiologist my heart was for once totally behaving. Of course. My blood pressure went down to the absolute bottom floor of what is considered healthy so there is that but she also only tested me for five minutes instead of ten. The cardiologist was nice when I explained to him my frustration and he basically said he believed me but he didn't give me an official diagnosis. He recommended I wear compression stockings and drink electrolytes. The stockings have helped, the electrolytes seem to make my symptoms worse (I mentioned in a post I made yesterday). I've had these symptoms for years, including difficulty sweating and regulating body temp, postprandial issues, and frequent need to pee at night. I finally read about POTS in passing when I was doing research around hypermobility after my rheumatologist diagnosed me with HSD because there is a lot of overlap between the two and I was like woooah, that sounds like me! Then I did the standing test and I hit the mark. I talked to my GP and showed her my numbers and she agreed this was very compelling evidence and sent me to the cardio. The older I get the more important it is to me to have a diagnosis. Not only to validate the ongoing issues I've been having but also because this shit actively interferes with my work. I'm a bartender and I don't need to tell any of you that it's no cake walk to have these issues while working this very active job on my feet all day. It's a trade off because I can't tolerate sitting in front if a desk all day because of my chronic SI joint dysfunction. I feel like having a solid confirmed health history is important because my health issues are getting worse and I need to have these things documented to be able to ask for what I need from my employers and potentially protect myself and my job if I need to. I'm just really annoyed that the health issues I'm having aren't super common and none if my Healthcare team are knowledgeable about any of them. I've been with my GP for six years and I'm just now starting to get answers after years of an uphill battle to figure what wtf all of my symptoms add up to. I'm moving in four months so there's no point in my going out and getting another Healthcare team. In the meantime I'm just trying to work with what I have. Looking for answers is exhausting. /rant

First Previous Next
Cover 42 – A possible future
[Temporary timeline, possible future.] The portal shimmered. On the other side was the access route to the CARF, operated by unmanned machines and subroutines that not even Samantha knew what they were really there for, or who put them there in the first place. Still, the family lingered on the known side of the portal for only the least amount of time necessary before taking the plunge, deciding not to waste any rewindable time when they were this close to their target. Albert was back on full mana and the others were as ready as they could ever be.
The room on the other side, an unknown variable up until the very moment the trio emerged from the opaque portal, was empty. Albert was quick to scan it with his enhanced senses, draining a negligible amount of mana from his reserves, and confirmed that there was nobody there. It was, as predicted, an access route most people didn’t know, its presence a well kept secret. There were no windows to the outside, just a single reinforced door that could only be opened from the inside using a secret code.
Samantha entered it, looking at the numbers and letters appearing on her phone in quick succession. The Quadrangle was once again making their job much easier than it would have been otherwise. Then, as the door hissed open, the absence of windows in the room suddenly made total sense. They were several hundred meters up in the air, inside a concrete cube built almost at the summit of a rocky plateau of deep red stone, tall enough that the whole valley below was clearly visible, together with the signs of yet another storm brewing at the horizon.
At the top of a few flights of stairs carved in the stone, surrounded by tiny bushes of shy green leaves cooked by the cold, a helipad was built in the side of the massive rock pillar.
“I guess it’s time to show your grandson your skills as a pilot, old man.” Samantha said.
“Finally. Time to be useful!”
They were up in the air in a matter of moments, with the old man showing no signs of being rusty in the way he handled the helicopter like it was one of his own limbs. Now it was all a matter of reaching the CARF and land on its roof, a journey that was already not very pleasant due to the conformation of the land and the path the helicopter was forced to take in order to leave the valley they were in, and was made even worse by the rapidly deteriorating meteorological conditions. The storm, previously only a dark path at the horizon, now took up almost all of the sky, with tendrils of dark clouds obscuring the sun and taking over what little blue was left with incredible speed.
Strong air currents tugged at the helicopter, making it sway and move around.
“We are heading straight into the storm, get ready because it’s gonna get very bumpy from now on.”
Right on cue, the
real turbulence began. And it ramped up quickly, turning the flight into a very disorienting and frightening experience for Albert, who had never even taken a plane his whole life. He tried his best not to look down, but it didn’t help that the helicopter was of the open variety, like those used by the military just without the guns, and the wind and hail pelted him with icy cold blasts and soaked his clothes.
Beside him, his mother was impassible. It was like she wasn’t even aware of the weather and of the discomfort, instead looking around and scanning the sky in search of something, her fingers gripping the trigger of her rifle. It wasn’t long before the shield around Albert began to shimmer to protect him from the elements, but even then his mother simply kept looking, disregarding everything else.
He didn’t speak. There was enough wind and noise to drown out any conversation, but even if that hadn’t been the case he still felt that he didn’t have anything to say. He knew the plan and he knew what to do once they reached the CARF, and until then it was all a matter of waiting and keeping his eyes open, careful about whatever threat his mother was worried about.
In truth, he knew well what she was worried about. He had seen PsyOps take off flying after he wounded him at the Pylon outside of Tryte. He wondered, though, if the man would be able to fly even with this weather and this far high without trouble.
His question was soon answered.
“We got incoming!” Lloyd yelled on the internal comms, while alarm bells went off and added to the already deafening cacophony of sounds that invaded the open cabin.
The helicopter suddenly left its former straight flight pattern and the world around Albert lurched, gravity no longer working as intended for a moment, and he caught glimpse of a shadow in the clouds, like a little floating silhouette in the distance. Then the missile that had been locked onto the helicopter, responsible for the alarms and the sudden evasive maneuver shot past, chasing one of the flares his grandpa had deployed instead of hitting them.
Albert cranked both [Perception] and [Bullet Time] to the max right as his mother shifted to grab the heavy guns she had loaded on the heli before taking off. She scanned the sky, taking stock of the presence of the silhouette after a few seconds of searching, and immediately started to shoot. The explosions inside the rifle accelerated the bullets to incredible speeds, and even with a five-factor time dilation Albert was almost unable to follow their path as they shot towards the shadow in the distance.
But he saw it. He saw it ditch the rocket launcher and dodge so fast it was almost impossible to follow it. Before a shot could hit it, the shadow moved and danced around, getting closer and closer and avoiding the shots like it knew exactly where they were being aimed at before they were even fired.
Because that’s exactly what he’s doing, isn’t it? He can read minds. Then the mental attacks started. Right when Albert was about to join the skirmish with his fireballs, that’s when he felt his mental defenses trigger. [Mental Fortress] was a passive skill, and it activated immediately in response to the attacks, drawing whatever mana it needed to fend off the alien power trying to take over his mind. He resisted the attack, but it was clear that the other two passengers had not. Samantha groaned, realizing too late that her grip on the weapon had loosened and that her rifle was now tumbling down and into the void below.
Albert didn’t help her. He shot to the control cabin of the helicopter just as they were about to lose their upright position and shook his grandfather awake before it was too late. The old man woke up with a jolt and grabbed the stick tight, trying to stabilize the helicopter before he lost control of their flight. As he did so, Albert ran back to the open section and tracked the movements of the attacker, readying fireball after fireball and making them split into two right as they were about to be dodged.
There was a plan to deal with PsyOps, which made use of his telepathic powers to trick him into a false sense of security. Samantha made her firing patters more predictable. Albert kept throwing with just enough accuracy to scare but not to hit the flying man. After a while the fireballs, and the hail of bullets from Sam’s many weapons (she had packed many more than she could ever use for the occasion) forced the psion into a predictable flight pattern.
Then Samantha made her next shot a bit too easy to read, displaying it clearly in the front of her mind.
The psion bought it, dodging right where albert was aiming his next shot.
Both fireballs managed to hit, and the shadow seemed to fall, but then it resumed flying and disappeared into the storm.
“Shit. He’s still flying! How far is the CARF?” Samantha yelled.
“5 minutes out! Can you hold on?” Lloyd replied.
“Of course. You keep flying!” She said, and turned to Albert, who had disabled the time dilation skill to listen in. “It’s okay. This is all within plans.”
She was heaving, clearly fatigued after having been mentally attacked by the psion. “But! Another attack and I’m out.” She said, spitting some blood from a ruptured capillary in the back of her nose. “Fuck that guy. Listen, you nicked him. Good job. Now, we just fly straight and if you see anything move – shoot it.”
“Understood.”
***
There they saw it, the helipad at the top of the CARF. It was a bright green circle, drawn in a special metamaterial that could be visible in any weather, glowing in a field of utter black. All around the descending helicopter was only darkness, but it was not because it was night – it was barely afternoon after all – but it was the storm that had robbed the day of its light. The powerful spotlights both on the helicopter and on the roof of the CARF, around the landing pad, barely managed to penetrate a few meters of darkness before the rain and hail ate their glow and swallowed it.
The whole roof was a blurry shadow of blacker black, without edge.
“Stay close.” Sam ordered, and the helicopter’s engines died, and the lights stayed on. They hopped off together, but when they went to the cabin to see why Lloyd was not joining him, they found it empty.
“Something is wrong.”
Albert looked around. Then he felt something.
He turned to face his mother. She was gone. What he had felt was a rush of space mana, and it was too late now to activate his Hazegem – even in bullet time – because a powerful force had sent him flying and his grip on the gem loosened. It tumbled on the ground, a luminous dot of purple.
But Albert was still outside the teleportation wards of the CARF. He tried to use teleportation to disappear in a hurry and reappear right where the gem was to snatch it and rewind before it was too late.
A fatal mistake, because as he concentrated on the Teleportation Map, his mental defenses went momentarily down. That’s when PsyOps attacked.
As images of his own plan to take down the psion flashed his awareness, mental attacks digging through his brain and finding old memories, the world shifted. He was falling. In his mind the conversation he had with his mother and grandfather played again and again, while Albert thrashed on the ground, spasming and convulsing. Then, as semblance of reason returned to his mind, he realized that he had indeed teleported and was clutching the gem in his hand.
But he also felt pain flaring in his arm. There was a boot there, he could only see the boot, pushing him down against the wet concrete. It ground and pressed until his hand was forced to open from the pressure on his tendons, unable as he was to use any skill with his mind turned to mush like that.
It was now or never. He struggled to push mana into the gem, feeling it activate.
PsyOps bent down to examine the Hazegem. He hummed. “So this is how you planned to take me down, eh? Interesting.”
He poured his own psionic energy into it, right when the gem activated.
Instead of Albert traveling to the past, PsyOps did. He appeared right at the CARF, alone, in the past.
“What the fuck?”
But it didn’t take him long to understand, not with the memories he now had. Pocketing the now unusable gem until its cooldown was over, PsyOps took flight, determined to kill Albert before he even had a chance to enact his plan. He knew where he was now.
***
“Albert, if you ever need to rewind, rewind back to this moment. If you do that we’ll see you disappear before our eyes and then teleport in, right?”
“Yes, that’s how it looks from the—”
Silence. Suddenly Albert looked distressed, as if in a state of panic.
“Shit. The Hazegem is gone.”
Then there was the sound of a phone ringing.
“Were you expecting calls?” Lloyd asked.
Samantha took out her phone. “This is impossible.” She muttered.
The others looked at the screen. The Quadrangle itself was calling her.

2023.03.22 17:28 EddieCMW 2023 Gaming PC Upgrade
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
Mostly gaming and just personal use. The game I mainly play is COD. From time to time I tend to play other games like Overwatch and Fortnite. For personal use, I tend to use Youtube a lot and do a lot of multitasking where I have a lot of different tabs open. I also make music on FL Studio from time to time. I currently use a PC that I built in about 2015, so all of the parts are outdated and I am running low on storage. I could upgrade storage, but since the PC is already so old, I would rather get a totally revamped PC.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
Between $2,800-$4,500
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
Most likely around May-June.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Basically all new computer parts. I already have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. I do plan on purchasing a 240hz monitor in the future.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
I have access to Microcenter in Maryland.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
I will be reusing the Corsair Strafe RGB keyboard, Razer Viper Mini Mouse and Acer GN246HL 144hz monitor.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
I am not too familiar with overclocking, so I guess I do not plan on overclocking.
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
Definitely a large amount of storage. I would like a PC that is very fast at multitasking and loading up different programs. In addition, I would like the PC to be able to run all my games smoothly at a high and constant frame rate.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Black or white case with RGB if available. Mid or full tower, whichever is cheaper but also fits the needs of the other computer parts.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
I have Windows 10 in my current PC. I would have to figure out if I still have the license for my current copy that I could transfer to the new PC, or if I should just buy a copy of the latest version of Windows.
I would like the performance of the PC at minimum to match current gen console performance. I prefer higher performance over graphics, but I would like to be able to play the games at high performance without having to set all graphics settings on their lowest possible setting.
Thank you in advance!

2023.03.22 17:27 UnkeyedLocke Time for blunt honesty
I don't even know if this is the right thread, but I need to rant, so here I go.
I'm sick of the, "tell us why you wanna work here," question on applications. So sick, in fact, that I'm done with it. Here's my answer, copy-pasta'd into every application now.
"I want to work for your company because it offers compensation for services rendered and has an environment I find tolerable. I have no strong feelings either way for the company itself, and anything I might say to indicate otherwise is a lie designed to curry favor. I believe that a good portion of the reason why there is so much "trimmable fat" in every industry is because hiring managers put too much weight behind the question of "why do you want to work here," and prioritize corporate sycophants over seasoned professionals. I prioritize being amazing at my job and effective in my communications with peers and between collaborative groups, and put little effort in becoming spun up on the proper ways to suck up to management. You want to hire me because I'm awesome at what I do, I make sure each shot makes it between the goal posts, and I don't tolerate a slippage in quality for the sake of speed or quantity; not because I have a silver tongue coated in honey."
What do y'all think? Too honest?

2023.03.22 17:26 NaturalRattle I'm deeply regretting my decision to start working at a group practice right after graduating (at least my particular group practice). Torn on how I should proceed.
So I graduated from school recently and as soon as I became an associate, I began job hunting, and eventually received and accepted an offer to work at a group practice. Generally speaking, I've spent the last 5 years working in mental healthcare, 2 years at my practicum sites, and pursuing my education in in tandem. I've been burnt out more often than not and was looking for something that could pay my bills and offer me a much better work/life balance than CMH or residential/school settings. A group practice seemed like the best choice to accomplish that, and I also loved the idea of having a little more say in the kinds of clients I wanted to work with. I was initially so excited this was an option given how taxing the last few years have been. It felt like my hard work had finally paid off and I'd have some real quality of life at long last.
Not quite. I ended up choosing a group practice where my supervisor, while a nice person, basically critically misled me in terms of what I could expect in building a caseload. He'd told me during my initial interview that I wouldn't need a second job, I'd have plenty of clients and have no issues getting to the amount I needed (around 27) within a time frame that sounded very doable to me. That time frame passed and I'm not even halfway to 25. He also told me that he'd essentially refer me all the clients and I wouldn't have to aggressively self-market since our practice overwhelmingly just takes insurance and we get a lot of referrals that way. The referral part is somewhat true. The big problem is that they're presented to us (the associates) on a first-come, first-serve basis (we sign up for them). This typically happens within literal minutes. If I'm not surgically attached to my phone, another associate gets the client. It seems like nobody has a full caseload yet and we're all equally desperate in that sense. What's even worse is that he just hired two new associates. It's bringing up awful memories of when I was in virtually the same situation at one of my practicum sites where my supervisor over-hired trainees and we were all constantly competing/desperate for clients. It created a lot of unnecessary drama and resentment towards each other (and our supervisor, in all honesty) and I never understood why my then-supervisor did this, and why my current supervisor is doing the same thing (maybe someone here can explain why employers do this? This seems so counterintuitive to me). I also hadn't realized what a hassle it is to be paid monthly (due to exclusively taking insurance). My hourly rate IS better than the alternatives (CMH/residental/school settings) but insurance reimbursement rates are pretty low in my area, and when your employer is taking 50% of that rate, it's not as significant of a difference as I initially thought.
The TLDR is that I'm hurting for money very badly and barely working to the point I not only have to take on a second job (something I really didn't want to do, I'm so over the "juggling" act and was really looking forward to having just one workplace) but am also thinking I may just need to quit entirely and start over elsewhere. The sad thing is I LOVE my clients (in terms of population, they're my absolute niche) and I love having a lot free time/schedule flexibility, but I have bills to pay, and being under-worked is taking a big toll on me. I'm wondering if I should just try to market myself more aggressively and build a sizable caseload on my own, but I feel like that's incredibly hard to do as an associate when there are so many licensed clinicians out there. I don't know what to do. I'd appreciate any advice.

2023.03.22 17:26 beerbaron6 Experience going from HH3k SFP+ bypass to GigaHub PPPoE passthrough
I just wanted to share my experience upgrading to the 3gbps plan from 1.5gbps.
I had the 1500/940 using the HH3k. I am using a Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch 16 XG with the VLAN 35 to my pfsense box (core i3-2120).
I placed my order online with bell and they sent a tech out. There was nothing much to do inside my house for the upgrade, he just plugged in the modem. He did have to go down the street to switch over my fiber line to a different switch or something.
In preparation for the upgrade, I added a new untagged port to my existing VLAN35 so I could plug the CAT6 from the WAN port on the GigaHub into it, and pfsense should magically request the PPPoE connection through that. This worked perfectly, and there is really no need for a VLAN anymore, except my pfsense doesn't have a 10G RJ45 port, so I am going through the switch for now.
I didn't even log into the GigaHub, it did the update etc when first connected and pfsense was able to do the PPPoE. I will log in to disable the unused wifi etc, but it was great I really didn't need to change any settings.
So as mentioned everywhere, the PPPoE can be a bottleneck on your router. On mine, using the suggestions posted elsewhere I am able to get 2.7gbps down and 3.2gbps up using a speed test.
The tunables I added to pfsense: net.isr.bindthreads=1 net.isr.dispatch=deferred
Overall the process took maybe 20 minutes or so. It is great that the modem firmware was automatically updated, so I didn't run into any issues that others have on the older firmware.

2023.03.22 17:23 Dense_Magazine_5607 10Web vs Wix: The Ultimate Showdown for Website Builders!📷
Are you considering different website builders and management platforms? If so, you may be wondering which one is right for you. In this post, we'll compare 10web with Wix, highlighting the unique benefits and features of 10web.
First, let's start with the basics. Both 10web and Wix offer drag-and-drop website builders that allow you to create a website without any coding knowledge. However, 10web offers some unique benefits that set it apart from Wix.
One of the key advantages of 10web is that it's built on WordPress. This means that you can take advantage of the vast ecosystem of WordPress plugins and themes to customize your website. Additionally, if you're already familiar with WordPress, you'll find it easy to use 10web.
Another advantage of 10web is that it offers an all-in-one platform for website management. In addition to website building, it includes hosting, backups, security, SEO optimization, and more. This means that you don't need to manage multiple services to keep your website up and running smoothly.
Finally, 10web offers some unique features that aren't available on Wix. For example, it includes a built-in form builder, image optimization, and automatic website speed optimization.
While Wix is a great option for many users, 10web offers some unique benefits that may make it a better fit for your needs. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific requirements and preferences. Consider the features and benefits of each platform carefully before making a decision.

2023.03.22 17:22 freshfruit111 Does anyone else have this? (discharge)
Sorry TMI but I've been wondering about this over the last few months or even a year. I thought it was my normal but it changes around. My periods are only 2-4 days long. Heavy on the first day of two. I have noticed that bleeding will stop entirely for 2-3 days and then random rusty red-brown discharge started around day 9. It wasn't much at first. Then it was like what would amount to a panty liner sized amount of dark brown over the course of days 10-13. I woke up today (day13) and it was a quarter size amount of light tan color. I tend to get discharge around ovulation too. It can be pink to red to rusty colored. I don't know what to make of this. Could it be leftover period on days 9-13 that merged into ovulation discharge? Has this kind of thing ever happened to anyone? It seems like I get maybe one week without needing to wear a panty liner at this rate. Thanks so much.

2023.03.22 17:22 happytrout23 Independent contractor vs employee
This post is in regards to my husband's job, which he quit last week. I'm going to keep things as vague as I can while still including relevant details. When he started with this company he was brought in by a friend. The company paid him for 2 weeks to train him. After that he was paid a percentage of each job. The company "manufactures" a "product" that my husband then installed. He did not do any of the sales portion. He uses his own tools and had the choice of using his vehicle (which they would compensate him for) or using the company vehicle. He did not choose which jobs he did, where they were, or what was charged. He was told where to go (sometimes a specific time he had to be there). He didn't get to choose which jobs he did or what days he did them. In addition to a percentage of the jobs total my husband could also bill the company an hourly rate for other things. This was the only time he actually "billed" them. He never submitted invoices and did not get to choose his installation rate. He did agree to the amount when he signed his contract. When he was hired, it was just him and his friend doing installation. After the friend quit, they hired someone "on the books" to do his same job. My husband was offered to be an employee as well but declined due to the pay decrease. When this whole thing started I knew the tax situation would be a pain in the ass. We knew we would need to set aside money for income tax and such. At one point I came across the whole independent contractor vs employee thing and told him 'I'm pretty sure your work should be paying you as an employee'. He didn't want to rock the boat or get pushed out so we didn't push the issue. The situation at the company continued to change to the point where my husband was getting increasingly frustrated by lack of control over job details. This led to him quitting last week. He did this job for almost 4 years. The first few years we were able to pay our income tax with little to no issue. However we currently owe the CRA around $16K. Obviously since he quit he wouldn't be entitled to severance but would it be worth looking into having his employee status reassessed since if he was an employee his work would have been required to pay income tax and such. He doesn't necessarily want to do this as he works in the same industry and it's a small town. However I feel the amount we owe perhaps should have been paid by the company. Has anyone been in a similar situation and have it be worth reassessing 4 years worth of work and taxes or should we just leave it and figure out how to pay what we owe?
TLDR: my husband was an "independent contractor" but I think he may actually have been an employee and we owe $16K to the CRA for income taxes

2023.03.22 17:22 Crushnaut Contractor just damaged my property
I live in a condo I rent from corporation A. They have designated Corporation B as their agent. The condo board's property management company, Corporation C, hired a company to redo the siding on the building and replace the windows.
Today one of the contractors came onto my balcony and broke a number of my things. I estimate the damage at about $650. I have a video of them breaking the things.
I received zero notice of needing access to the balcony or needing to clear it of my property. The only notice I received was about a week ago for access to my unit yesterday to do the windows.
I called my tenant insurance company, and they can open a claim, but my deductible is $500. They said I could file a claim, but my rate would also go up.
Who do I go after for the damages?

2023.03.22 17:20 AutoModerator [Get] Dan Koe – Digital Economics Masters Degree Full Course Download
| Get the course here: https://www.genkicourses.com/product/dan-koe-digital-economics-masters-degree/ Dan Koe – Digital Economics Masters Degree https://preview.redd.it/e5bm5i19z5pa1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b38f3d722558909f9bfa22127af1347efd52b4ef What You Get Phase 0) Digital Economics 101 The Digital Economics 101 module will open 1 week prior to the cohort start date. This is an onboarding module that will get you up to speed so we can get straight into the material. This will be required to finish before the start date. - Gain a deep understanding of all of the pieces in the digital economy.
- Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
- Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.
Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with *what will sell.*You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity. - Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
- Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
- Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).
Phase 2) Content Strategy There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. **That they are congruent with and trust.**It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is: - Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
- Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
- Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
- Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
- Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.
Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge ( that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level ( no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works. - Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
- Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
- Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
- Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.
Phase 4) Marketing Strategy You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way). - Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
- Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
- Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.
Bonus) The Creator Command Center The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales. Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan.***And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days.***That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work. submitted by AutoModerator to Affordable_Courses [link] [comments] |
2023.03.22 17:19 balaamsdonkey Logitech G305 Lifespan
Hello,
After I finished a pc gaming session last night while using my Xbox controller, I noticed that the mouse sensitivity of my Logitech G305 had decreased significantly. I've adjusted the cursor speed to the max setting and I disabled "enhance pointer precision", which helped somewhat. However, when I compared it to a new ergonomic mouse I recently bought, the difference in sensitivity was significant.
Do I need to replace my Logitech G305 or is there some other solution I'm missing? For context, I bought this mouse in December of 2020, so it is a little over two years old, and I do use it every day for both work and gaming.
Thanks for your help.

2023.03.22 17:16 cm_jennym How to beat the clock in Hot Laps in Need for Speed™ Unbound
| Hot Laps are fast-paced, technical, and challenging activities designed to sharpen your skills behind the wheel. Light up short circuits and complete them under the target time to achieve 3 stars and beat out the Rival Racers’ times. Tear up the rulebook and explore areas of the map that are typically off limits for most street racers, darting through parks and pedestrianized areas and demonstrating your command of the car. https://preview.redd.it/4vwzhjgxebpa1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=888db3108861c5264c5999634f7256401837a154 Each lap has been carefully planned for the maximum challenge, so identify the best corners to drift and fill your boost meter, work out which straights allow you get the most out of your boost, and learn how to use tight spots to pick up a draft. Beat your best time, pass Rival Racers on the leaderboard, and beat the clock to earn Bank and unlock special reward content including “The Ultimate Luxury”. Tour the city: You can find Hot Laps across the entire city. Take on high-speed activities through narrow back alleys, race through the abandoned theme park, and even test your tyres on the iconic L-train tracks. Hot Laps are set up in some areas you may be less familiar with, so learn the route and pay attention to where you can gain an edge before giving it everything to beat the clock. Word on the street: Hot laps become available in single-player once you complete the prologue, and from the jump in Lakeshore Online. Show ‘em who’s boss: You won’t be the only one tearing it up against the clock. There are 30 Hot Laps to take on and earning 3 stars in each by completing the lap within the target time is only part of the challenge. Rival Racers have already put down some serious times in Hot Laps across the city, so if you really want to make your mark on the street racing community, you’ll need to master your driving to put your name at the top of each leaderboard. Run it back: Hot Laps are a true test of car mastery in a variety of memorable locations across Lakeshore. As previously mentioned, some of these locations may be a little different to what you're used to. If you didn’t quite get the time you wanted, go again, and again, until you’re familiar enough with the course to beat the clock! Hot Laps are replayable, and understanding how to approach each one is key to shaving off precious seconds with each attempt. Go big, or go home: Hot Laps begin as soon as you pass through the starting gate, so take a long run-up and use your boost to start your lap with as much speed as possible. Maintain your momentum through the lap, pushing the limits, holding speed through the corners and dropping your boost on the longest straights. https://reddit.com/link/11ynwqn/video/qpvxqs85fbpa1/player Word on the street: Hot Laps can be completed from either direction. Squeezing that last half a second to reach a target? Try reversing it and hit the lap in the opposite direction. Get rich quick: Beating individual targets in Hot Laps earns Bank whilst completing more activities can land you with new Driving Effects, Poses, Horns, and “The Ultimate Luxury” vehicle. Beating all 30 Lakeshore Hot Laps Rivals requires the best rides, precise driving, calculated risks, sheer determination, and all the boost you can get. submitted by cm_jennym to needforspeed [link] [comments] |
2023.03.22 17:16 baldsealion An Attempt at APU Driver Patch Notes
Since Valve cannot bring themselves to provide realistic patch notes for APU Drivers, I would assume most of the changes are based on the AMD Adrenalin drivers that have been released in-between November to now. From what I can tell, the following versions are what we can expect changes from:
- 22.11.1
