2023.03.27 09:13 Intelligent-Bed8756 Writing this down makes me really want to cry.
I don’t know where to start really, but before I started really loving myself and knowing my “worth”I had very toxic relationships with men. I should nott even call them Men they were immature little boys. Very abusive mentally sometimes physically but mostly psychologically. I have 2 kids both from Guys that never took any responsibility at all and both guys treated me so completely terrible that I chose the higher road bc I needed them gone out of my life bc of just how toxic they were. My first daughter lives with my Parents. My parents and I have joint custody of her. It works for us and they just knew I was very young and totally not ready for a baby. Of course I was really upset about that but years later I understand why. The father was deported and I’ve never spoken to him. My second baby, she was the boy a few months old when I got out of the situation I was in.. my ex was a text book narcissist which I didn’t see the first few months of dating and he really did a number on me. Completely switched personalities he really had some issues I could never fix. I’m an empath so just… ugh it was both stupid and bad I ever was with him trying to help him and take care of him. The things I did for these morons I’d never waste my time on anyone like that again. So, I left him and got on my feet with a baby, and he was pissed of course. He couldn’t control me or have sex with me anymore so he started to go crazy and sent me emails with a lot of threats. Not only threats but just saying the worst things about my baby girl. Calling her fat and posting a picture of her. She was like 5 months old so what the fuck? It was crazy. Anyway I was single and obviously just going through a lot of trying to grow from the traumatic bullshit that guy put me through. At the time I still wasn’t that close with my parents. I looked at them like they were my enemy bc I had to fight for my part of custody myself and I did of course. ANYWAY, I got on my feet had 2 jobs and a baby and I ran into an old friend from middle school. We were together for 3 months and my ex got wind of it and the threats/calls/ texts were really coming in heavy but this time child support court was involved. I originally just wanted to get government help but some girl shoved the computer in my face and said he needs to pay you child support. Anyway we had to go to court and I wanted to drop the entire thing to get his psycho ass out of my life and I definitely wasn’t going to hand him a baby he was not a fit parent. Before the court date the amount of threats and everything was scaring me bc he was telling me he had all this money and a great lawyer and he was going to win and I was a “new” mom and I was scared id lose her - so Eddie was like let’s just go to the courthouse and get married so we can look totally ligit in court and I can add y’all on my insurance. So 3 months in we went and did that. I won custody and her soerm donor never saw her again never paid anything.. Anyway eddie is a good dad. Me and him however are over, even though we are still married in the eyes of the government.. I have told him I want a divorce many times. He knows and he said he’d sign it… recently when we got the tax money I was supposed to get most of it.. but he purposely took off with it got a hotel room for a week and spent it all on hoes and the strip club. Did everything- paid escorts told me he got with a couple bitches.. I mean, we are over so he can. But he just makes me sick. Of course he says shit under his breath and bothers me I try not to be around him. he’s mad I don’t love him there’s never been a strong deep emotional connection. We just drank every day and hung out and became friends with benefits. However, I learned how to love myself and my value during this time. I really grew up and realized what I wanted for myself as well as the kind of person that I deserve. Now I’m a bit stuck in this situation bc I have to be working to pay for anything like a divorce which isn’t a lot of money and I need him to take care of the little one while I go to training and work out of town all the time. I just want this chapter with him closed. I feel terrible and sad that I’ve been looking for something out there that is real and genuinely passionate and on my level. Someone who is intellectually capable of having interesting things to talk about. It’s so frustrating being around stupid people. I have a plan it’s just all going to take a few months I guess. :( I’m smart as fuck I’m just in such a weird place in my life i REALLY don’t want to live in this town anymore. I want to find true love. Someone I never have to worry about. Someone who isn’t a fucking alcoholic. Ok now im going to cry myself to sleep. It’s been a fucked up day. Anxiety has been through the roof today. Might as well end it that way too. :( I hope everything is and turns out ok.

2023.03.27 09:00 flynfiesta6 David Lindhagen Live @ The Bike!
This isn’t a shitpost but a cry for help.
If you have seen the movie Crazy Stupid Love, you understand the title but if not…
In the movie, Steve Carell goes to a bar and openly bitches about this same dude, same stories, over and over again night after night to anyone that has ears, said dudes name is David Lindhagen.
I’m not a reg, I try and play once a month. The last three times I went and played at the Bike, early and late February and this Saturday, there was a player that I haven’t seen before, actually better to say that I haven’t heard before lol.
I have not sat at the same table with this player, never have played a hand with him. However, he doesn’t shut up, is loud as fuck and has repeated the same regurgitated bullshit all three times I was there verbatim. He has stated the following loud enough for me to hear him from 3+ tables away…multiple fucking times.
1) He’s a “pro” playing 2/3 🫠 but only because he had a “life issue” #6 otherwise he would be playing the 5/5+
2) He shows up 2 hours before the tourney starts and plays cash, wins his $200 buy in so he is “free rolled” into the 100k tourney. He’s accomplished this magnificent feat 17 times in a row… that number didn’t change from the first time to the 3rd time lol
3) his Henson Mob shows 7.something k
4) He missed making day 2 in a WSOP event because he got it in against the table chip leader with AJ SUITED and he got runner-runner ousted and should have just folded to day two, not the money, to day two. And I want to be clear that everyone who reads this knows that it was SUITED!
5) He’s currently re-building his bankroll because… again #6
6) His daughter got into a car accident and he needed to buy her a new car, he used his 10k bankroll to get her a car.
7) He grows weed and sells it, it’s apparently really good but expensive, maybe he’s just looking for customers?
Guess the grass selling business ain’t so good anymore if you only have 10k to your name and it drops ya down to the small stakes.
Anyone else played with or heard this idiot?
Can we all agree to start calling him David Lindhagen?
How do you get a player of this type to shut the fuck up? I’ve heard him get into it with players at his table every time i was there doesn’t seem to phase him.
I will give him credit that at this point he has tilted me enough to instantly table change if I ever get sat at his table or at this point casino change if he stays. I’m just trying to have a few beers and chill but this guy just sucks to be in the vicinity of, I wear EarPods and listen to music while I play and can still hear the fucker.

2023.03.27 08:55 sattakinngz Online Satta king - sattakinngz
There are several players for the
Satta King game. But, only a select handful possess the qualifications to be named the Satta King. Players in this game place a wager on a number between 00 and 100. The winner is the number that is selected, and they are referred to as the daily Satta King. The game of Satta king is not for everyone. It takes a lot of courage to stake all of your money on the prospect of winning the Satta King title. The benefits, however, may be substantial for those who are prepared to take a chance.

2023.03.27 08:48 TallTales4SmallMales Zimbabwe ED 59 NF: Mob Psycho 66.66666666666…etc
This is the weeb NF. I was originally going to just have this NF be the full-length versions of the three Mob Psycho 100 OPs, but I honestly don’t love the first one as much as the other two, so I replaced it with the OP from the weird (but incredibly fun) Pretty Boy Detective Club.
But before we get to the songs, here’s a word from our sponsors:
https://www.change.org/p/trans-youth-must-be-given-a-voice-in-the-debate-around-their-care The Songs:
Shake & Shake by sumika:
https://youtu.be/q-jJnCtuWiQ 99.9 by Mob Choir:
https://youtu.be/GiwpMw_Up_Y 1 by Mob Choir:
https://youtu.be/PB4VaN_qV3Q Because there are only three songs, I’m gonna deviate from my usual voting method. In this NF, the LOWEST AMOUNT OF POINTS wins. So give your favorite song 0 points, your second favorite song 2 points, and your least favorite song 3 points.
Send me your points via Reddit PM (I will also accept Chat, but I would very much prefer an actual message) no later than 3:59 AM GMT April 1/11:59 PM EST March 31.
In the event of a tie, the song with the most 0s wins. If two (or more) songs have an equal number of points AND 0s, there will be an emergency tie-breaker round, and the voting system will be EXTREMELY dumb.

2023.03.27 08:16 midasgoldentouch [Discussion] Spring Big Read - Babel by R. F. Kuang, Chapters 9-12
Hello my lovely linguists!
Welcome to our third discussion of
Babel by R. F. Kuang. This week we're wrapping up Book II as we discuss Chapters 9-12. If you need a quick refresher on our previous discussions,
you can check the schedule here. A friendly reminder: please only discuss content up to the end of Chapter 12. Content beyond that, even if marked by a spoiler tag, is not allowed and should instead be added to the marginalia post. And without further ado, here's a recap of this week's section!
Summary:
Somehow, to Robin's surprise, his first year at Babel comes to end. Our fearsome foursome head off to summer internships around the world, although it's not quite what they expected. Before they know it, it's time for the start of their second year, and they're back at Babel, eager to see each other and continue learning.
As second years, the cohort now has access to the silver-working workspace, even though they aren't allowed to do anything yet. Their first day back, after a brief moment of upset about a student's desk, Professor Playfair gives a riveting speech about the basics of silver working and reveals the "funny" fact that although not much has to be done to maintain the bars, people are willing to pay anything for what they deem as magic. Professor Playfair ends his class with a demonstration of a match-pair they must never attempt: the concept of translation. Entranced, the cohort heads off to lunch where they catch the attention of Anthony, who again reminds them that due to language evolution, it's Ramy and Robin that Babel is counting on to keep them so successful in the future.
After lunch, the cohort heads up to their first Etymology class with Professor Lovell, which is not nearly as awkward as Robin worried it might be. They enjoy the class and the different things they're studying their second year. Although it's a lot of work, their coursework opens their eyes to new and interesting ways of seeing the world. Beyond that, the four of them have managed to carve out their little niche in Oxford; while the people around them aren't always so welcoming, they've found places where they can be themselves and are mostly accepted. Towards the end of the first term, a French scientist named Louis-Jacques-Mande Daguerre visits Babel in the hopes that someone can help him perfect his new invention, the daguerreotype. Anthony is able to come up a successful match-pair that allows the machine to perfectly capture still images. At Letty's insistence, the four of them sign up to have their photos. The others are repulsed by the final picture, but Letty decides to keep it and frame it.
Around the same time, Griffin starts to pop up in Oxford on a more regular basis. A lot of times Griffin tries to brief Robin before some planned theft, but other times he seems to just want to chat, to Robin's surprise. Of course, Griffin never wants to chat about what Robin's really interested in, which is more details about Hermes and what they do with the stolen resources. But one day Robin asks a question which Griffin is willing to answer - does Hermes really think it can win against the likes of Babel? To Robin's disappointment and annoyance, Griffin proceeds to give him a brief lesson in colonialism 101 and how all of the silver-working resources and talent is flowing to Britain. Except, as Robin knows, the British are running out of silver - it's now flowing into China. The British love Chinese goods - fabrics, teas, etc. But the Chinese people by and large don't care for British goods, so the British have to pay for goods in silver. Griffin predicts that one day Babel's prowess won't matter because Britain simply won't have the raw silver to produce anything anymore. At that point, the British empire will fold in on itself; all of the silver-working talent will follow the resources to China. For Griffin, Hermes is a way to just speed along the natural conclusion of the British empire.
Robin finds all of this hard to believe - the idea of a world after the British empire collapses seems unfathomable, and Hermes seems as if it could never be effective against Babel. Griffin is annoyed that Robin doesn't see things his way, but he trusts him enough to increase the number of assignments he gives him. Some of them are still midnight heists, but others are just making copies of various texts. To Robin's surprise and disappointment, it's all less sexy than he would have imagined or hoped for - just incredibly routine. Even the thefts of silver become mundane, especially since no one seems to be making a fuss over missing materials. Griffin still meets regularly with Robin, although less often about Hermes, and it dawns on Robin that Griffin misses being a student, and perhaps just wants to spend time with him. Griffin even gets him a newly printed edition of Oliver Twist for Christmas, although it's meant as more of a joke. Robin wishes his brother would come back with him and join him for Christmas, but reconciles Griffin and Hermes as a part of life separate from his life as a Babel student.
At the start of the next term, the cohort arrives to the Tower that morning to see a ruckus - someone has tried to break into Babel to steal something, presumably. He was caught by the wards though, which apparently shot him. Anthony explains that Professor Playfair is in charge of the defensive wards, and very secretive about the exact nature, although it seems to always be brutal. The five of them watch as a couple of policeman drag the bleeding man away from the tower. When Robin meets with Griffin later that day, he's nervous and tries to tell Griffin it's too risky to go through with the next theft. Griffin waves him off and gives him the bar from the first theft as a precaution. Robin takes it, but he's still nervous - he asks Griffin why he's the one that has to take the risks and why Griffin can't do it himself. Griffin reveals that like Robin, he was an orphan that Professor Lovell "rescued" from China and offered the chance to study to attend Babel. However, in his case, Griffin left his homeland so young that he had forgotten how to speak his mother tongue of Cantonese, and that by the time he was an adult his mastery of Mandarin had slipped so that he couldn't reliably make the silver bars work. So, as he explains to Robin, Griffin really, really needs him to help out if they're going to succeed.
The next week, Robin arrives back from dinner to find a note from Griffin - he has fifteen minutes to make it to the tower in time. Robin grabs his coat and the bar and hurries to the tower. He makes it just in time as the bells strike eleven and a pair of operatives dash inside with him. In his haste Robin forgot to grab his bag or anything that would give him a reason to be there at that time, but it seems to be fine - he just waits in the lobby for the operatives to finish up. They come down at five past as expected, but when Robin opens the door and they step over the threshold there's an awful noise. The operatives scurry away, but Robin hesitates: has the trap been sprung and is slow-acting, or does his movement actually spring the trap?
Robin runs down the stairs and learns it was the later. He feels an explosion of pain in his left arm as he's hit by a bullet, but that's the only one that strikes him. Robin runs down the green and turns onto Broad Street, where he's out of range and sight from the tower. He's overcome with pain; he takes out the bar and tries to use it to make himself invisible but can't concentrate due to the pain. At that moment Professor Playfair yells at him to stop, but then realizes that it's Robin. He asks Robin if he saw anyone, and Robin somehow manages to lie, explaining that he had only heard the noise and was a bit shaken up after the incident last week. Professor Playfair is disappointed that the wards weren't able to stop the thief but eventually says goodbye to Robin and heads back to the tower. Robin somehow makes his way back to his room and inspects his wound. Fortunately he was only grazed, but he doesn't know how to care for it properly. He digs around his things and finds some brandy that he uses to disinfect the wound before wrapping it tightly in strips from some of his shirts. The next day after class, he finds a book on field wounds and gets some supplies from a nearby market. That night, he drinks some more of the brandy to help dull his mind enough for him to suture his wound back together. Throughout all of this, Robin feels utterly alone and miserable - he's furious with Griffin because he'd tried to warn him this would happen and unable to confide in the rest of the cohort without revealing Hermes.
Telling Griffin I told you so has to wait though, since Robin doesn't hear from him the rest of the term or year actually. He barely has time to notice though, as his second year coursework becomes more demanding and he spends the summer preparing for a pre-term assessment. The cohort enters their third year and...everything kind of sucks. Their already heavy workload doubles for each class, and now they'll pick up a silver-working apprenticeship and an independent research project. Robin and Letty are more or less satisfied with their chosen research projects, but Ramy and Victoire run into issues right away. Ramy is frustrated that Harding doesn't agree to his first or second proposal for a project, and that he has to settle or editing citations in the Persian Grammatica based on Schlegel's works which, despite being about India, were written in Paris. Victoire, however, is deeply uncomfortable with how Professor Leblanc wants to proceed. He was grudgingly acceptable of a project done in Kreyol, but for the most part wanted to focus on Vodou, and specifically aspects of it that would seem sacred. Letty doesn't see what the issue is - after all, Victoire is French, and it's not as if she actually believes any of that stuff, so why does it matter? Victoire becomes frustrated with Letty, and it becomes clear that the women are fighting.
Honestly, the cohort as a whole starts to struggle. Depending on who is talking to whom, they start using platitudes in order to keep a fragile peace, because everything seems to either be an unintended slight or a deliberate offense.. Letty and Victoire seemed to purposely go out of their way not to spend time in each other's presence unless around Robin and Ramy. And although he can't quite put a finger on why, Robin notices the interactions between Letty and Ramy have gotten much worse - that there now seems to be a heightened sense of hurt about them. It all sounds horrible to be honest, made worse by the fact that they have no one else to turn (I thought I spent way too much time with the other people in my year and major but at least there were about 50 of us).
Meanwhile, time and classwork go on. As the third soon-to-be Sinologist, Robin finds himself traveling around town with Professor Chakravarti to help maintain silver bars as part of his apprenticeship. It's pretty mind-numbing, and sometimes residents don't actually believe that the two of them are Babel scholars. 🙃 Robin still gets the chance to learn some interesting things, such as how resonance links allow Babel to use less silver to power bars in use around the country. As he goes about his apprenticeship, Robin notes to himself that oddly enough it would be much easier for him to steal things for Hermes now if asked and struggles to believe that the British empire could ever collapse in on itself as Griffin prophesized.
One day in mid-January, the cohort arrives at the tower only to find a peculiar situation. Professor Playfair informs them that Anthony is presumed dead, as he hasn't been seen or heard from since the night before he was due to set sail and return from a research expedition. All of the upperclassmen and graduate fellows are upset and wear black all week to symbolize their mourning. The faculty however, seem to be unaffected at all, and don't even hold a memorial service in his honor. This terrifies them all, especially Letty, as it speaks to just how expendable each of them is in the eyes of Babel. It's always been an unspoken understanding, but the lack of reaction to Anthony's death makes it real in a way it hasn't before. Robin is particularly concerned about Victoire, given her closeness with Anthony but he can never seem to broach the subject with her. Letty, on the other hand, brings up Anthony's death and life all of the time, to his dismay.
Griffin finally comes back around later that term. Robin would have missed the note if not for a patron magpie, but he gamely sets off for the Twisted Root the next day as instructed. Griffin shows up almost an hour late and he looks...rough. He's wheezing and out of breath, limping, has what appears to be a still open wound and smells a bit. Robin awkwardly tries to make small talk about their independent research projects while Griffin scarfs down his food. After he finishes his plate, Griffin hands Robin a list of texts to retrieve for him; Robin is infuriated that Griffin doesn't even seem to acknowledge that he had been shot during the last theft. Once he explains to Griffin why he's annoyed, Griffin waves it off, saying that it was a mistake that he'd correct going forward and giving him the location of a safehouse. He then directs Robin to tell him what's been going on in Babel, which Robin grudgingly obliges. At the end of his summary, Robin mentions that Anthony died. Griffin remarks that he and Anthony were in the same cohort, but otherwise seems unaffected by the news. This puzzles Robin - does no one really care at all that Anthony is dead? But Griffin explains to him that they're all assets to Babel until they fail, at which point they're no longer worth anything, and that, as far as Babel is concerned, death is the same as failure.
But it's still shaping up to be a very bad year. Even beyond Griffin's attitude and their coursework, Robins feels like everything he loved about Oxford has been ripped away. The older students try to reassure them that this is just the typical third-year slump, but it's more than that. The number of attempted thefts rises sharply, from two to three a year to once a week. One morning the cohort arrives to the Tower to find graffiti accusing them of witchcraft. And then one morning they arrive at the tower to find a furious mob shouting at students and professors going in and out of the tower. One of them started yelling at Victoire, and another man even threw an egg at her although Ramy managed to shield her. Ramy and Robin grab Victoire and Letty and pull them inside of the tower. In the lobby, Cathy O'Nell informs them that the crowd outside are former mill workers who are now unemployed; Babel has just signed a contract with mill owners in Northern England to install new silver bars. The bars will essentially do the work of all of those men combined and the company owners are willing to pay a pretty penny for it - enough to fund renovations of the east wing of the lobby. Of course, now all of these men need to find a way to support their families.
During class, Professor Lovell has a much more cruel and condescending opinion. In his opinion, the shouting mob are an example of the worst people, who, instead of finding a way to take advantage of the opportunities around them are content to complain to anyone who'll listen. According to Professor Lovell, the difference between the men outside and himself (and presumably, Babel as a whole) is that he has embraced science, technology, and used whatever advantages he had to better himself while the men outside are stubborn, sore losers that refuse to move forward. He predicts that the men will be gone by sunset, but that at that point they won't bother to come around again.
Except, the men do stick around. Their numbers dwindle over time, but on the whole the crowd shows up to protest several times a week. One morning the scholars even discover a bomb has been delivered to Professor Playfair's office, although fortunately rain soaking the passage eroded the fuse. As expected, security doubled; all of the post was inspected by clerks; new wards were put up. But the general unease and unrest wasn't just limited to Babel - the whole country was feeling the same effects. The silver bars produced by Babel were marketed as an industrial revolution that would yield greater gains and prosperity for everyone, but in reality the bulk of the riches flowed to the top while inequality became rampant. Robin and the rest of his cohort worked to remain unaware however, choosing to retreat inwards and focus on their studies to the extent possible.
The fourth years took their exams in the middle of the second term (Hilary term) and, after the exam period ended, everyone gathered inside of the tower one Friday to hear the results. Professor Playfair, who we know lives and breathes to create a spectacle, stands on a table and begins to read the results out loud. All of the fourth years pass except for one - Philip Wright, the upperclassman who had rudely snubbed Robin during a faculty dinner his freshman year. All of them watch as Professor Playfair dramatically breaks the vials containing Wright's blood and three graduate fellows literally throw him out of the tower.
With that lovely image in mind, Robin meets Griffin at a tavern a couple of days later. Griffin somehow looks worse than before, but he waves off Robin's concerns, instead trying to talk to him about the next theft. Babel is expecting a big shipment of silver to come in, and Griffin hopes that Hermes can steal a crate. He tells Robin that they'll need a large distraction, and so he'll likely need to store some explosives in Robin's room, which, predictably, freaks Robin out. Griffin tries to calm him down and reassure him, but Robin decides that he's done and no longer wants to help, not after seeing Wright be expelled and not after the last missing when he was shot. From Robin's perspective, Griffin has gotten sloppy and he hasn't done enough to reassure Robin that the risks are worth the reward. Although he doesn't want to, Griffin finally capitulates and explains that Britain is planning to move into Afghanistan and that presumably Hermes will use the silver to prevent that.
At that, Robin laughs in amazement. To him, it all seems so silly and pointless; the levers of power are firmly held by Babel and the Empire, and for all their work Hermes can do nothing. Griffin is furious and disappointed that Robin feels that way, and issues an ultimatum: is Robin in or out. Robin decides he's out. Griffin warns Robin to keep his mouth shut or he'll deal with him. But before he goes, Griffin tells Robin that he's lost, but that he won't find what he's looking for. He's free to make his own life, and he can do so much more than just survive.
Discussion questions are below. See you next week for the start of Book 3!

2023.03.27 08:05 Weird_Temperature778 Thoughts on Gems
I never understood why people are using their gems on pulls. It never made sense to me, so maybe you guys can help me understand cause it seems super counter productive. I save ALL my gems for equipment and divination. I prioritize equipment over all. I saved my gems until SS equipment became available. When your character has a full set of SS equipment maxed out, it does a huge difference in your fighters performance. Later comes engraving stones and the tiers that come with them. One engraving stone brings a maxed out SS piece of equipment sitting at 10k battle power to 28k battle power. Building your fighters correctly makes them godlike. But remember SS equipment are expensive and so are engraving stones. Hence why you save up. Then you got divination. Where if YOU HAVE a legendary fighter (Bison, Juri, Gen, Rose, soon to be MH Ken) you can spend 5000 gems in a chance to pull them continually (with luck and hard pity pulls, but its a lot easier than faction draws and standard draws to pull them) I'm not sure if it works the same if you dont have a legendary fighter already because I got lucky and pulled my bison early on.
If you awaken correctly and not use quick awakens and smart awakens, you can complete the global awakening event like I did on my F2P account. You dont need to use gems for pulls. I never did and on my F2P accounts already have at least one SS on each of em, and at least 1 to 2 characters right behind them.
If your pay to win, like I am on my main account you can do whatever you want, cause with pay to win you get way more resources. On my main account I have 4 SSS fighters, so it's a huge difference when your spending money how fast you climb up the ladder.
But I digress.. YOU DONT NEED TO USE GEMS FOR PULLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND YOU DONT NEED TO SPEND MORE THAN $1 FOR CHUN LI TO HAVE SUCCESS IN THIS GAME. JUST BE PATIENT, DON'T GET TOO CAUGHT UP IN TRYING TO BE NUMBER 1. TAKE IT AT A SLOW PACE IF YOU ARE F2P AND NOT RUSH IT AND YOU'LL HAVE A BETTER EXPERIENCE CLIMBING THROUGH STAGES. _^
These are the things I learned on my F2P accounts and it made me realize I didnt need to spend as much as I did on my main account. Now on my main account, I dont spend.
How are you guys going about it? How do you guys feel about spending gems on pulls?

2023.03.27 08:02 AutoModerator Creature Event Reminder
| The following reminder is for those who have received Merlin Day / Hippogriff Island event, (Or Flooficore Island / Unicorn rush - newer players and the unfortunate few). https://preview.redd.it/k0jcu013a4qa1.jpg?width=856&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aad7cb7641e9e058c4accdb38c094bfb3a9a952e Well done if you made it! Good luck if you’re close to the finish line or way off. For those who never received the event (or there was a delay), please contact EverMerge or refer to their FAQs. If you have been affected by event differences, again please contact EverMerge or visit their FAQs. The final creature takes 2 hours to build. It gives 15,000 points so to use the final build to win the event, you need to be on Stage 9 with 2,500/7,500 or above. Stage 10 needs 10,000. However, you don’t need to complete the final build to win the event. You just need to earn the right number of points. 26,810 points are needed to complete the whole event. You don’t need to complete the non-build chains before reaching the final event points of Stage 10. Ideally complete the build chain and all 10 stages as soon as possible to prevent more build pieces popping out when you merge. The down side of completing all 10 stages is the pixies will stop. So you’ll need to continue to chop and/or open land to complete the non-build chains. If you are trying to complete the non-build chains before completing the event points, consider merging creatures in multiples of 3s because they can take over your map. ALL event points MUST be earned before the timer runs out. Gems and coins must also be claimed too. The extra 5 mins doesn’t work and the game has started forcing players out. The reason is unknown so don’t be surprised if you don’t get the extra time, so collect before the event ends. v1.31.x gives you coins and/or gems which suggests for unused pieces but the value doesn’t correlate (minimum reward 10 coins and 2 gems) Magic Crystals cannot be collected so if you can make one or more, use them on coins and/or gems to boost the goodies you receive. This has been posted by an AutoModerator Replies to this post may go unanswered. If you need help, there’s a collection of support posts pinned to this Subreddit or you can create a new post to ask the community. submitted by AutoModerator to EverMerge [link] [comments] |
2023.03.27 07:43 CT_Phipps 101+ Planescape Adventure Hooks
I'm a huge Planescape fan but coming up with adventures for it has always been something of a pain in the ass. So I decided to try to make a bunch of ideas for the setting, berk. If you have the time, feel free to add your own or give any feedback!
- A young girl is kidnapped by a group of magically grafted individuals and the player characters are hired to get her back. They actually are from a world where psionics and artificers reign and are collecting her as "spare parts" for their artificial godlike being. The PCs note this may be the only actual world that needs a Power to take over and get them off their cargo cult. Either that or the planet get absorbed into Mechanus.
- The player characters are approached by a Drow priestess who proceeds to explain that she wants the PCs to serve as guards for the smuggling of refugees into Sigil. They're enemies of Lolth and believes Sigil safe from her wrath. However, a bigger issue is the Harmonium does not want a large number of refugees from such an evil and chaotic race.
- An Aasimar Paladin wants the PCs help to try to recover the soul of her friend in the Wall of the Faithless from Abeir-Toril. She's a member of the Athar and hates gods but still Lawful Good and powered by her righteousness. This seems fairly straightforward except she plans to free a "lot" more and use this as proof of the gods' evil.
- The player characters inherit some property in Sigil and it is a extra-dimensional enhanced mansion that seems perfect to their needs but is given a wide birth and seemingly no one will speak of it. This is because the previous owner was Mazed and, worse, the mansion actually leads to the Maze.
- See #4. Oddly, the PCs find that man inside the Maze figured out how to leave ages ago but finds its nice to live and makes him immortal. He offers the PCs use of his mansion if they can stop people seeking to "free" him.
- See #4 The Lady of Pain actually wants the PCs to get the imprisoned man out because someone WANTING to be Mazed defeats the purpose.
- A male PC is approached with an unusual offer: a chromatic dragon wishes to mate with them. Specifically, engage the various acts regarding (shapeshifting) coitus then collect their fluids as part of their "research."
- See #8 The PCs end up as the father of a clutch of dragonborn after the experiment is concluded.
- See #8, it was all to make their Gold Dragon ex-boyfriend jealous as he didn't want kids and she did. It's worked incredibly well and he's furious.
- A PC is informed that they are actually the child of a god and that said gods progeny are being sent on a quest to murder each other in order to assemble their power into a new deity. A group of them are in a "gathering" here to do just that and killing each other off in ritualistic duels. This is all nonsense and someone is setting this up based on a Prime folk tale.
- The PCs attend to Free League Bazaar and find Harmonium patrols engaged in police brutality. If they intervene, they find themselves in a court case over whether the former were there illegally or not. Shady lawyers and idealistic ones get involved.
- See #12, this was all a set up by the Free League to get the Harmonium some bad publicity.
- See #13, the same except it's a set up by the MERCYKILLERS because these Harmonium agents are THAT bad.
- A group of Vistani from Ravenloft arrive and strangely claim they are able to pierce the Mists back and forth easily. Many would pay for an accurate map of this Demiplane and what the hell is going on inside it.
- See #15, it's a set up by Strahd Von Zarovich to get some planars to torture and interrogate.
- See #16, Strahd has bitten off a lot more than he can chew because the Lady of Pain moves Castle Ravenloft into Sigil as punishment for his crimes. The Dark Powers just replicate him like they did in The House on Gryphon Hill. This Strahd is fucked.
- A Dustman is chasing after a man who got out of the mortuary and is getting killed repeatedly but always coming back from the dead. He's now immortal but that just means people want him for themselves.
- See #18, It is in fact the Nameless One who is somehow back and very confused about this.
- Factol Rowan Darkwood wants to hire the PCs to rescue the Princess of the Unicorns set to be the victim of a great hunt on the Prime Material Plane by an evil wyvern-riding Duke.
- See #20, this is actually all an elaborate wager where the PCs are scryed and bet on the entire time by the Takers. They get rewards ala the Hunger Games if they overact or take challenges like a Twitch stream.
- See #20, the evil wyvern-riding Duke is Rowan Darkwood in the past. This is actually an experiment in time travel.
- See #21, the PCs probably end up killing the Duke and the past and return to find Sigilian history dramatically altered.
- A serial called "The Midnight Slasher" is targeting victims throughout the city, leaving lovers with their loved ones dead in their arms. Weirdly, the perpetrator is invisible to scrying or divine answers and taunting the authorities of Sigil. Is the Revolutionary League at fault or something more sinister. The Free League presses are making bank publicizing it, though.
- See #24, the serial killer is a paladin targeting demons, Alu-Fiends, Cambions, and Tieflings. The paladin still has his powers as long as he believes he's righteous.
- See #24, the serial killer is a publicity stunt by the Free League to drum up newspaper business and make the Harmonium look week.
- See #26, the serial killer didn't exist but rumors have caused one to emerge into existence from all the fear.
- It's a nice day for a blood red wedding as the PCs are invited to a marriage and probably show just for the free food. It's only when they arrive that they find out it is wildly inappropriate (A Deva and Fiend, a Tanari and Baatezu, a Gold and Red Dragon, or a Fraternity of Order member with an Xaocist). What is going on here?
- See #26, the wedding is at the behest of two feuding pantheons who have made it abundantly clear saying no isn't an option. The bride and groom disagree and Sigil is the best place to make a break for it.
- See #27, the wedding is going to be hit by both factions of the bride and groom and it's actually a hit on their extremist members.
- The Lady of Pain shows up at the player character's most frequent haunt and a Dabus says they need to acquire an object for them: the Key of Aoskar.
- See #28, it's not the Lady of Pain but a gnomish illusionist who is FANTASTICALLY stupid.
- See #30, It is the Lady of Pain but the Key of Aoskar was stolen by one of her Dabus who is attempting to revive the dead god over a lack of a promotion.
- Factol Erin Montgomery commissioned a living statue of herself in the nude. However, the Golem came to life and is now running around Sigil getting into all manner of mischief. Erin wants the PCs to shut it down because she acts like a teenage brat. The sculptor and a sigilite with inappopriate fixations want it for their own reasons.
- Factol Sarin's 16 year old daughter has run off with a Tiefling and he would very much like you to return her before she gets hurt.
- See #32, the Tiefling intends to sell her into slavery to the Nine Hells.
- See #33, the Tiefling is actually her prisoner and she intends to sell him into slavery for a position in Asmodeus' armies.
- The Revolutionary League pays the players a great deal of money to nab an Ortho nobleman visiting from their home planet. They claim he is a genocidal war criminal who masterminded the extinction of the elves and gnomes on the world.
- See #35, he actually did but came to Sigil to reveal all of the crimes of the Harmonium in public to discredit them.
- See #36, the Revolutionary Leaguers are actually corrupt Harmonium guards there to stop him from doing so.
- Factol Terrence is suffering a vote of No Confidence as his Athar Factorum have decided the Greater Unknown is, in fact, a real god and he's a traitor to the cause. He begs them to go to where he came up with the idea and prove, in fact, the Greaker Unknown isn't real but a metaphor for goodness and ineffability.
- See #38, unfortunately for Factol Terrence, the Greater Unknown is, in fact, a god.
- See #39, even worse, he's the ghost of Aoskar.
- A barmy inmate claims that a demigod named Vecna took over Sigil, rewrote reality, and almost got away with it. Now no one remembers this happening and he wants your help finding the artifacts left in the city that prove it.
- See #41, the inmate is, in fact, Vecna himself stripped of all of his magical knowledge and divine abilities. He is quite annoyed by this but the Lady doesn't like what he tried to pull.
- See #41, the artifacts are the Head of Vecna that contains the deity's essence. The inmate wants to kill himself and put it on, which will restore Vecna (the Lady will consider the lesson learned).
- The PCs have been given a watch that allows them to time travel. Unfortunately, this has put them in the sights of celestials who really hate time travelers.
- See #44, the watch was actually used to reverse the Faction War.
- See #46, the PCs can't un-reverse it because they died in the Faction War.
- A man claiming to be Raistlin Majere says he was dumped out of his world of Krynn when he became too powerful (Note: This was an actual rule in the Dragonlance handbook). Now he needs to find his way back and doesn't know very much about Planes beyond the Abyss (and he thinks Tiamat lives there).
- See #47, he will be quite annoyed to find out his world has been utterly trashed in his absence by what appears to be an exact copy of himself.
- See #48, this Raistlin is actually a result of kender interfering with the timestream.
- A young boy of the Sign of One is seemingly omnipotent and wrecking havoc like the Twilight Zone. He seems to have infinite Wish spells.
- See #50, he's the king of a Feywild domain called Fantastica and is slowly losing his memories every time he does a Wish.
- See #50, he's Asmodeus' son. The Lord of the Nine would appreciate his return until he can be educated into being a proper Archdevil.
- See #50, the PCs can get the Lady of Pain to wipe him out just by praying to him. No gods allowed. This is a nasty way to resolve the issue, though.
- The players are asked to help a demented old gnomish woman who just so happens to be living on a newly discovered portal the city is confiscating. Unfortunately, in her basement, is a monstrous aberration from her dalliance with Orcus during her days as a CE Warlock. She often forgets to feed it now.
- A Mercykiller breakaway sect of costumed vigilantes (or maybe just one) have started punishing the guilty of Sigil despite this being very not lawful. The Harmonium is furious but the public loves them. What if this causes the Mercykiller creed to change?
- The PCs meet their alternates and this is very confusing, especially if they're from a world like Athas or Krynn.
- The player characters are willed a Tomb of Horrors. Yes, that Tomb of Horrors. Or at least an exact replica in its own pocket dimension. They're given an exact map of the thing with a listing of all the traps as well as a request to use it for good.
- See #60, it's the actual tomb of horrors by an alternate Acherak and it was stolen from him as a prank by a god of trickery.
- See #60, it's actually part of a horrifying amusement park by a deranged Archdemon, god, proxy, or Lich fanboy on the plane of Gehenna. He'd like to buy it back so he can complete it then open it to the public.
- See #62, How he plans to get idiots to murder themselves in an amusement park of death? He'll put treasure in it. Voila! Instant endless stream of victims!
- The PCs are invited to a funeral for a god by his last remaining worshipers. It's on the Astral Plane. On said god's corpse. The guests will include the avatars of gods, enemies come to gloat, and the curious.
- See #64, the Githyanki attack and try to take everyone as slaves.
- See #64, It's a mass suicide event by the worshipers.
- See #64, all of the attention for the funeral in Sigil causes the god to wake up during the funeral.
- See #64, there's a protest by the Athar present deliberately designed to start a fight and in very poor taste.
- A man claims he's got a bomb built by the God of Evil of his world that can destroy an entire planet. He's trying to sell it.
- See #69, he's wrong. It's a relic of the Primordial War and can destroy an entire divine domain or planar layer.
- A race of cybernetic abominations created by a mad scientist on a planet called "Skarr-o" (or something) are some of the most feared killers in the multiverse. The PCs are asked by some Yugoloths to negotiate them to join the Blood War.
- See #71, this is because the Yugoloth was hired by a Time Wizard to divert their race into an impossible war against invincible enemies. They've made a mess in his Prime Material plane.
- See #71, the Yugoloths are actually hoping to harvest the atheistic LE pepper pots' souls (as much as they exist) to make serious bank for the Nine Hells or Acheron.
- See #71, the Totally-Not Daleks actually arranged this themselves and the whole thing is subtly (by their standards) interrogate the PCs before invading the Outer Planes.
- See #71, this is actually a horrible idea as the Baatezu LOVE these guys and will happily assume "perfect" Not-Dalek forms and introduce them to Asmodeus (who they perceive as the Dalek Emperor of Emperors) and support them in their galactic genocides. The PCs have to stop this from happening.
- See #71, the PCs will be hired by demons or Devas to introduce the Not-Daleks to the Beholders instead and start another part of racially motivated pointless war.
- The player characters end up getting teleported to a dark and terrifying dimension full of nightmares and hallucinatory monsters. It is a layer of the Abyss ruled by a fallen paladin who has absolute power but only over illusions. A group of Taan'ari offer to help kill him. Oddly, the fallen paladin might be persuaded to abandon the path of evil if you're silly enough to appeal to his goodness.
- The PCs are invited to a flying citadel in the middle of the Outlands which the owner wishes to open as a hotel and casino to the discerning gambler. Unfortunately, there's a half-dozen Faction-based plots against him going on simultaneously because he didn't exactly acquire this location fairly.
- The PCs are invited to the Church of Contrary Personalities which is a secular temple for fallen angels, tiefling paladins, Aasimar thieves, and risen devils. The Bleak Cabal, Free League, and Athar love it. The Harmonium and Fraternity of Order hate it. The PCs are hired to protect or destroy it or both.
- An Athar member has a scroll with the true name of a deity, Archdemon, or Archmessenger on it. He planned to use it to murder the Power but is gutted in a bar. Now it is the hottest item in Sigil--and the PCs have access to it.
- A prostitute and her boyfriend want to run away from a corrupt and vile gang running a brothel as casino in the Hive. The prostitute wants the PCs to help her escape.
- See #80. Notably, the prostitute is a succubus and her boyfriend may or may not be charmed.
- See #81. The casino/brothel boss actually has the title to her soul and that needs to be acquired first.
- See #80. This is all a cover for the prostitute and her boyfriend carrying out a massive heist while the PCs are the fall guys.
- A Dabus approaches the PCs and speaks in perfect Common rather than Rebus. A Dabus has switched souls with them and he's now terrified that the Lady of Pain will take offense. Can the player characters reacquire his body?
- An auction of holy artifacts is being hosted by the Free League, an arcanoloth, and a fallen Deva. The player characters have been asked to acquire one piece, the Holy Scrolls of Grundark, by any means necessary. They are necessary to stopping a war back on their Prime Material World.
- Blackmail! A high ranking member of the Bleak Cabal wants the PCs to clear up her secret past as a member of an evil cult before she became a notable proponent of charity work as well as NG humanitarianism. There's something fishy going on because she belongs to a faction that, by definition, would not care.
- See #86, she's actually a member of the Revolutionary League and murdered her way into the Faction.
- See #86, she's abandoned her old Revolutionary Ways and just wants to do good works now. So berks gotta die to keep her secret.
- One of the PCs have been informed they are now Factol of the Sign of One. They all imagined it to be the case and now it is official. Clearly something weird is going on here and their protestations fall on deaf ears.
- A Believer of the Source has ascended to godhood...in Sigil. Well sort of. He's inside his Bag of Holding that he leapt into as it happened. So, he's technically not violating the Lady of Pain's edict. He wants the PCs (who he contacts in dreams) to transport him to his divine domain that he envisions is in Arvandor. Because he believes he's trapped, he's trapped and quite a few people want to get a hand on this bag.
- The player characters are informed a previous Factol of the Fraternity of Order is hiding out in a Gatetown (probably one linked to Carcei or other wretched hive). There's a massive bounty on his head that no one knows the reason for as he disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The player characters are contacted by people who want to deliver him to freedom instead.
- The PCs are being followed by a big animal. Dog, cat, cappybarra, whatever. It's the size of a cart and intelligent. It is the loyal companion of a now-deceased god and isn't sure what to do with itself.
- The player characters are invited to an extradimensional mansion for the reading of a will by a prominent Taker. Of course they find themselves trapped in the mansion when a murder takes place and they're all suspects.
- See #93, it was the dead Taker himself who is disgusted his relatives and friends expected GIFTS post-death.
- See #93, it's the mansion itself that has become a horrifying Dungeon trying to kill them.
- The Harmonium is fired from the job as City Watch. This comes out of nowhere and not even other Sigilites are sure who is responsible or how. However, they've been replaced with a non-faction based replacement.
- The player characters end up in the belly of a massive Illithid planar vessel under attack by the Githyanki or Githzerai. It becomes a mammoth escape attempt before you get stuck in whatever location you're in.
- A Rogue Modrone has claimed to have mathematically mapped chaos and is kidnapping Xaocists, turning them LN whenever he's done with them. Is he just brainwashing them or does he have proof of his theories? The Fraternity of Order and Harmonium are interested either way.
- A Dustmen Lich has decided he finally wants to experience the true death and plans to destroy his soul with a Wish spell. However, he kind of is out of luck on that because he entrusted his soul jar with a third party who very much doesn't want it to happen. The PCs need to get it back.
- The first Sigil Mayorial election is being run! The candidates are limited to those people who think the Lady of Pain WON'T Maze whoever wins. However, the fear over that and low voter turnout means even the players might win.
- Sigil's interior has started making contact with the rest of the Torus. It turns out it has an Underdark, massive sewer system, and other set of levels that reveals it is a far larger city than anyone expected.

2023.03.27 07:42 CT_Phipps [Fanon] 101 Planescape Adventure hooks
- See #30, it's not the Lady of Pain but a gnomish illusionist who is FANTASTICALLY stupid.
There's a massive bounty on his head that no one knows the reason for as he disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The player characters are contacted by people who want to deliver him to freedom instead.

- See #93, it was the dead Taker himself who is disgusted his relatives and friends expected GIFTS post-death.
- See #93, it's the mansion itself that has become a horrifying Dungeon trying to kill them.

2023.03.27 07:07 ThrowAway7s2 A prizewinning speech about abortion, printed in the April 8, 1976 Door County Advocate, with a response from the opposing position on April 20, 1976
| xxxx, recieving a trophy for her speech xxxxxxxxx xxxx wins girl's division of oratory contest The following is the text of the speech delivered by first place girl's winner xxxxxxxxx xxxx in the Optimist Oratorical contest held recently. The contest subject was "Tomorrow's Promise." Two thousand years ego three wise men beheld, wrapped in swaddling clothes, a new born babe. The world rejoiced and dreamed of tomorrow's promise. Two weeks ago three sanitation workers beheld, wrapped in bloody newspaper a new born babe. The baby died; human garbage. Two days ago an attractive, well educated, pregnant suburban housewife drove to her doctor's office. Seventy-five minutes later she left the office and drove home to entertain guests, no longer with child. A scrubwoman cleaned up the remains of her 18 week old fetus. Legalized abortion; $300. What causes mothers to drop their newborn promises into the gutter? What causes mothers to lobby so effectively to seek a law which will permit them to commit murder? For all the unborn of the future, what will their anguish be, what will be tomorrow's promise? The strength of a country, its viability and its future, lies in its youth provided, of course, they are permitted to survive and develop to provide that strength. Did you know that a 10 week old fetus has perfectly formed feet one half inch long? It even has fingerprints. An 11 week old fetus breathes, swallows, sleeps-it even dreams. An 11 week old fetus has the ability to learn. It reacts to light and noise. An 11 week old fetus digests its food. It even feels pain. It is alive - it is human - it holds tomorrow's promise. Yet many would argue that we have the right and should make it a legal right to eliminate an 11 week old promise. In 1979 alone, just one year after the Supreme court ruling to legalize abortion rights, 900,000 women obtained abortions. Nine hundred thousand abortions - almost two every minute. That represented an increase of 350 percent in just four years. This truly was 900,000 empty promises. What will happen if we allow the slaughter to continue? Do we no longer protect the weak and innocent? Who or what then will be tomorrow's promise if our callous attitude toward the unborn continues. It is important to recognize that tomorrow's promise can only be fulfilled through us. Each and every one of us here this evening were once unborn. We were permitted to live, we ourselves were once tomorrow's promise. And each and every one of us here this evening must face a grave, personal responsibility. We must determine our own position onthis seriously important issue. Are we going to support the indifferent attitude toward the unborn or make a promise? A promise today, a commitment to the unborn, that for today and tomorrow and for all the tomorrows to come -"we will not murder them in their sleep." Let us revive our moral strength from the past when old newspapers were used to light the fireplaces of our homes and wrapped our table scraps not our babies. Yes, it is time to regain the attitudes of the past when our doctor's offices were visited by the sick of body and where treatments were prescribed to support a healthy existence, not the elimination of tomorrow's promise. ANSWER ON ABORTION To xxxxxxxxx xxxx: I had considered heading this "An Answer to xxxxxxxxx xxxx" but I find I can't do that. The position of the National Organization of Women on the issue of abortion, a position which is staunchly for the right to chose, doesn't really pose final answers to your questions. What our position does do is recognize the real lives of women, of those women who seek abortions, and recognize that they seek abortions for real and pressing reasons. We recognize that without legalized abortion these women seeking abortions divide into two groups: those who can afford to buy a doctor's services outside the law or who can afford to go abroad to a legal shorten clink, and those who finally end up at the "back street butcher" or killing themselves with drugs, home remedies or knitting needles. Those of us supporting right to choice have a wide range of views. Some of us do regard abortion as a simple medical procedure. Some of us do believe that abortion takes human life. I tend toward the latter view. I hate abortion. But I don't hate people who have abortions. I guess I just have to trust them — to believe that they had that abortion for a very good reason. It doesn't have to be my reason. It just has to be their reason. What causes mothers to drop their newborn promises into the gutter? I don't know. People tell me that the causes are fear, poverty, desperation, ignorance. Imagine where you would have to be, what your state of mind would be, if you were to do that. Then know that is where that mother is. What causes mothers to lobby so effectively to seek a law which will permit them to commit murder? I am a mother. My daughter is 9 months old. I am lobbying for that law. I may never use it, but as much as I hate abortion, I can't really say that I'll never need it. And many other women, my sisters, need that law. They need that law to retain control over their bodies and their lives. What will happen if we allow the slaughter to continue? I'll give you your choice of words, xxxxxxxxx, but I'll tell you what will happen if we lose the right to choice. We'll be back to the dichotomy of the rich woman and her private doctor and the poor woman and her back street butcher. Nothing else will change. Do we no longer protect the weak and innocent? Well, I'd like to think we do. But laws have never been able to stop abortion. Laws can only see that women have them under safe conditions. The right to choice is just that. It does not force women to have abortions. It allows women to follow their own dictates of conscience or reason or need. The right to life bills allow only one legal choice. You may go on hating abortion. The best way to stop abortion is to see that women and girls know their bodies and how to use than, to see that birth control devices are available to those who need them, to help us to that goal of only wanted babies being conceived in the first place. Many of my sisters in the women's movement won't like what I've said to you. Many of them feel, and on an intellectual level I agree with them, that the only issue is a woman's control of her own body. Ugly words have been exchanged between the people on both sides of this question. I don't want to put you down for what you believe. I guess I'm hoping that if I answer your concern with my own, you may at least think about our point of view. One of the brochures from our state organization says "Feminists are people who care." I hope you can believe me when I tell you that is true. BARBARA STONERPR. Door County NOW [PR. is President] March 27, 2023 A BELATED ANSWER TO BARBARA STONER To Barbara, and by extension those who knew her: You can't recognize the real lives of women without recognizing their real relationships. What relationship is more undeniable that between a mother and her unborn child? Without legalized abortion, the population and wellbeing of women in the United States increased over the centuries. After legalization, homicides of pregnant women increased considerably. The typical perpetrator is either the father of the fetus, another man romantically involved with the woman, or a woman attempting a fetal abduction. When it is a man, he is angry that the woman would not have an abortion, and then takes it into his own hands. In developed countries, it is possible to prevent "back street butcher" type abortions through effective law enforcement. The frequency of dangerous home abortions prior to legalization was widely overstated in several fraudulent histories written by abortion rights activists. Actually, all abortions were rare, both due to the danger and to the shame. Yet even had the histories been correct, it still follows that exactly the same augment can be made for do-it-yourself versus physician-assisted suicide. Back when you supported the right to choose in the 70s, a wide range of views was tolerated. Now, however, anything less than the "reproductive justice" is scorned. The "abortion is a simple medical procedure" only works for the calloused. Many post-abortive women report strong emotional distress relating to their abortion. What other medical procedures are associated with such grief? If you are thinking "amputation" or "mastectomy", yes, that is what I thought of too. Today in the United States, over 60% of abortions are associated with external coercion: https://www.cureus.com/articles/124269-effects-of-pressure-to-abort-on-womens-emotional-responses-and-mental-health. It is possible to "choose" amputation through external coercion, such as with remorseful yakuza in Japan who amputate a part of their finger, or recaptured runaways in the antebellum South who were given the choice to amputate part of the foot or be castrated. For many women, the right to choose was a similar hated choice. That you declare "I hate abortion" but desire to have recourse to it indicates you understand how this is not a Coke vs. Pepsi sort of choice. Should you just trust someone who says he or she voluntarily chose elective amputation? Or should you assume a mental condition or coercion? This isn't about how trustworthy and individual is, it is about the context. Planned Parenthood and the independent clinics don't do this. They just abort babies, facilitating the perpetuation of the coercive factors, be they evil romantic partners or broader-scale economic injustices. You write that you personally tend to "believe that abortion takes human life". Today, this is acknowledged more by abortion supporters than it was back in the 70s. Natasha Lennard comes to mind as an example. Yet you mean this in a conciliatory way. They don't: today similar statements are intended in a threatening way. They acknowledge that abortion takes a human life, and then they say it is a form of justifiable killing. They also speak about achieving "the revolution" and how it is good to be violent against people who are sufficiently leftist. While some target the far-right and ordinary conservatives, others especially advocate shoplifting from and attacking non-conservative targets who they regard as insufficiently leftist. Door County liberals, centrists, and their businesses and non-profits are all fair targets to them. Why hasn't Door County suffered from them so far? The best explanation I have so far is the absence of a sufficiently radical leftist organization based out of Green Bay, the sort which rejects non-violence. They feel that conservatives are too stuck in their ways to change even after an attack, but with enough violence, centrist and insufficiently liberal voices will be prodded to fall in line behind them. The closest equivalent I can think of back in your day was Valerie Solanas. Their positions are nearly as depraved as her SCUM manifesto, yet they are defended in the mainstream media, and even employed by them. That is how things are now; they are not your friends. Theirs is a natural outcome of both acknowledging that abortion takes human life and refusing to protect it by law. The logical syllogism follows like this: if abortion takes a human life, and those human lives shouldn't be protected by law, then some human lives shouldn't be protected by law. Lennard and others like her would be more than happy for you to retreating to a deferent, subjective understanding of "It just has to be their reason" for not just abortion, but all killing. The causes you mention, "fear, poverty, desperation, ignorance" don't have to be the last word ending someone's life. Abortion could be motivated by these four, but so could substance abuse. Should substance abuse be the final last word? By now, Wisconsin has a Safe Haven infant relinquishment law for the most desperate mothers; that is a more hopeful ending of a relationship. The severing of a relationship does not need to be the end of a life. Your being a mother of a nine-month-old makes this even more important. You want good things for the next generation. Whatever the social problems are, there are better answers than elective abortion. Your hope was that abortion would help you and other women retain control over their lives, but in place of that came decades of economic stagnation, coupled with a societal reliance on abortion. Worker productivity climbed while employee pay stagnated. This website has graphs that would make your generation's labor feminists weep. Maybe back in 1976, you thought that the lightened economic load of fewer children would accrue advantages to the worker? Today, there are children's' books about abortion. Some mothers let their children know that they killed their siblings before they were born. Implicitly they pull a power play: "Aren't you glad it wasn't you?". Earlier generations could sympathize with the poor woman, but now she is blamed for not being responsible. You thought that nothing else would change if you lost the right to choice, but since this past summer, there have been a number of hopeful signs, including: · Increased support for crisis pregnancy centers by both private donors and by some states · Proposed measures to allow pregnant women to use the HOV lane in a number of states · Arkansas' maternity leave bill: https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2023/feb/14/maternity-leave-bill-passes-state-house/ · Calls from conservatives for the federal government to completely cover the medical cost of childbirth · A bill in Texas to reduce parent's property taxes · Georgia's income tax law now counts unborn children · Some states lengthened Medicaid coverage for post-partum women · Expansion of the Nurse-Family Partnership in Indiana · Many items proposed in the Family Policy Agenda: https://banks.house.gov/uploadedfiles/rsc_family_policy_agenda.pdf · It seems there will be more births recorded in some states: https://www.grid.news/story/science/2023/02/01/us-birth-rates-may-be-rising-but-likely-not-for-long-so-whos-having-babies/ Moreover, private doctors seem to be complying with abortion laws since this past summer. They don't want to lose their medical licenses; some have moved to other states. And in a situation where the rich have abortions and the poor do not, eventually the more numerous poor will outvote the rich, and use the state to fight against the corruption and injustices they were subjected to, including elective abortion. You wrote that "laws have never been able to stop abortion". You could say the same for the murder of those already born; it is illegal, but it still happens. That doesn't mean it should be legalized. And under decades of legalized abortion, there have been considerable number unsafe, though legal abortion clinics: See " Are there more abortion doctors like Kermit Gosnell? And do we want to know?: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/wp/2013/04/28/are-there-more-abortion-doctors-like-kermit-gosnell-do-we-want-to-know/. Even when legal, most doctors don't want to do abortions. Some of the ones willing to stoop to it as a regular practice are the bottom-dregs of medicine. Today, leftists are trying to solve this by removing conscience clauses so that doctors can be forced to do abortions against their will, under pain of losing their jobs. This indicates that legalization wasn't enough to make abortion safe. It is not true that "The right to life bills allow only one legal choice." They allow both parenting and adoption, which is actually two choices. Sex-ed has failed to stop abortion, but perhaps it could if students were made to experience its graphic and horrendous nature. The "only wanted babies" idea fails because so many women are coerced. An unwanted baby can still be adopted by parents who want them. Or the parents can learn to want their child, such as with professional counseling. It also ignores the larger picture, which was understood in Calhoun's Rodent Utopia experiments. These experiments were designed so that overpopulation was never an issue; instead they looked at group behavior patterns and their effects. Natural rodent mothers wanted their babies, but as the experiments wound on and became increasingly dominated by aggressive males, mothers became unstable and unable to care for their litter. Humans have instincts as well, and if children are unwanted by their parents, that should call into question what things are contributing to it. That the majority of abortions in the US involve external coercive factors is evidence that unwanted pregnancies indicate larger problems. Sort of like how if a sentinel species is suffering in a particular area, the solution isn't to just hunt them so you don't have to think about the canary in the coal mine. Rather you try and solve the larger problems causing the sentinel species to become extirpated. Unborn children, and the mother-child relationship, are like a vulnerable sentinel species for broader humanity. Solve the larger problems, and more children will be wanted. Ignore the problems, and it fosters their contribution to a human version of Calhoun's Rodent Utopia. Your own separating of your emotional conviction and your "intellectual level" testifies that there is more to it than "a woman's control of her own body". If that is really all there was, you wouldn't need to separate off your intellectual level from other factors; they would all be in congruence. Your generation said "Feminists are people who care", but this has given way to other slogans. If it were true today, care and concern would recalculate back to the organized movements. Instead there are angry calls for "abortion on demand without apology". March 27, 2023 A RESPONSE TO xxxxxxxxx xxxx I didn't ask before posting your oration. Legally, posting it was allowed since the Advocate didn't print a copyright notice back then. Notices were required at the time to keep things out of the public domain. I weighed the merits of not giving you credit against the risk of facilitating bad people to do evil against you. Since it indexed on search engines, that gives you some level of protection. No one searching your name on the internet will get to this post. I expect that people who want to give you credit will look up the article, and bad people won't bother to take the effort. I didn't link to it, so it takes a bit more effort. The picture will also help, since it reminds people how young you were at the time, and how many years it has been. I think you will experience more good than bad from me posting it. There could be people walking around now, who never would have been allowed to be born if it weren't for you. submitted by ThrowAway7s2 to DoorCountyALT [link] [comments] |
2023.03.27 06:49 PresidentInTraining ATTN: Mr. Beast (Jimmy Donaldson): Partnership Proposal
TLDR: I am running for POTUS in 2024 by launching an app as both my campaign platform and my solution to winning an election outside the two parties system. And I mean entirely. I would like your help coordinating the massive social media initiative my plan is going to require, and in return I will let your team turn the entire process into creative content. My App is a massive social relief initiative completely funded by the revenue generated from building community solar field projects. Essentially a savings account in the American people's name funded primarily through green energy revenue. Kickstarter campaign goes live 27-MAR-2023.
Greetings Mr. Donaldson,
I'll begin by stating that everything I am about to reveal here is very real. I am a tradesman not a politician so please try to keep that in mind.
Let me tell you a bit about myself for context.
My name is Benjamin J. Lee. I am a retired Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician. OIF/OEF Veteran. I am a carpenter and recently began training as an Electrician's Apprentice. I had the time to view you and Lex Fridman's conversation and I must say. I do not understand how people get you so wrong. Normal people see a cash pinata, but I see your genius for what it is. You are just doing what you love and trying to do your part to save the world at the same time. That's exactly why I believe you and I should work together. You inspired me to do the same thing after your podcast appearance. I sat down and I figured out a 10 year plan on how to put America back on the right track. And after hearing what I am trying to do, I do believe that it will peak your team's interest enough to at least see if I am full of shit or not.
And the best part of my campaign initiatives are, I can prove they work. And I can do it long before I ever step foot into office.
The first integral piece to my software is called the Social Media Safety Net. This is essentially a trust I am setting up into the American people's name that will be funded by a few of the following initiatives.
First the "Solar Safety Net". I am going to be coordinating the creation of new tradesman cooperatives in local communities to build commercial scale solar fields. This will achieve the following things.
-It will provide my social programs with guaranteed, scalable, and renewable green revenue.
-Give communities access to publicly owned land so they can build and negotiate energy contracts with the advantage of commercial scale building costs. (Typically Residential solar is over $4 per watt to build an array. Commercial on the other hand is around .89 cents.)
-That means I can also bring the commercial advantages of solar to the residential market, and do it almost essentially free to the citizens. And they won't have to damage their homes with rooftop solar.
-Investing into small businesses that are established to maintain these fields, and then negotiate contracts to maintain other solar arrays as well. They will also help the communities negotiate their energy agreements with local power distributors. This will vary state to state depending on their green energy packages.
(I can give a better breakdown of the numbers later, however it is a solid investment strategy.)
Another example of one of my fundraising initiative's is called "Merch to Miracles." I am going to conduct nationwide merch campaigns partnered with as many current streamers and content creators that I can get on board. I will coordinate everything on the Merch creation side and partnered creators will just create their own sub campaigns. The partners retain 50% of the revenue generated, and then 50% rolls back into the app.
Now how does this app give back to the American people?
Actually in so many ways it's almost hard to explain but I will attempt to do so in a single letter.
The first part of the app is the virtual oval office. The software is going to have video and stream hosting integration because I believe it's bullshit that the President feels so disconnected from our society when he could literally be on a stream every week interacting with his constituents. But then again I am 35 and our current president is like 300 something so who knows if I am wrong about that. It's going to use a new form of voting prototype that will allow me to hold and advertise votes between myself and my voter base. They will get to weigh in on the spending of project funds, current events, and community activities that I will be planning. And everything will be completely free for the end user. If they are registered as an Undecided voter on the app I will also be able to see their demographics and a little about them.
How am I supposed to properly represent my constituents if I never take the time to get to know them?
There will be a Rate my Representative function and profiles for every seat of our government. I am coining it my "Digital Checks and Balance System".
But the greatest parts of the entire project are my social relief packages. User's App profiles will have links and integration with many current social media platforms. But they also will contain the ability to rack up Hero Points. These Hero points can be earned through a wide array of activities.
-Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Hero missions that focus on getting people involved in their communities, creating art, hosting parties ect. (User's will have profile unique QR codes that are used to reward points in person through event coordinators.)
-Contest submissions for Long form writing, poetry, art, and inventions coordinated on dedicated Reddit and Discord communities and threads. (Upvote system is already perfect for my eventual vision here)
-Participating in and finishing education
-Community service
-Civil Service
-And much much more to be announced
There will then be functionality for users to mark a particular hardship on their profile and then use their earned hero points to roll on social relief crates. These crates will come in various sizes and for various hardships but here are just a few examples.
-UbeLift Vouchers for people needing to attend work or school
-Student Loan Forgiveness
-My Career Retraining Support Initiative
-Funds to host community events
-Scholarships and more
And the best part is that because solar revenue is stable, the funding for supported programs will be too. The points never go bad and are tradeable so communities can pool their points for projects, much like I am trying to pool everyone's voices into one powerful roar to wake our politicians up.
I am going to get this mission accomplished with or without your assistance. I do believe however it would be much more effective and much more enjoyable for myself if you did me the honor of helping me save our country, and then maybe, the world.
If you'd like to learn a little more about me, or see the Kickstarter promo videos visit
www.ThePresidentialApprentice.com, or have one of your team members contact me here.
Also I apologize if any of my media content looks like a 5th grader produced it. I am doing this entire thing by myself and I was in trade school until about 3 weeks ago, so I had to take the crash course on video production, political campaigning, solar technology, economics, marketing, streaming, app development, and a bunch of other shit.
I am so excited about the things you and I are going to do together in the next few years.
Hope to hear from you soon Jim.
*Edit* Sorry, could you also ask Lex if he'd be able to give me his input on creating a learning AI that I could use with Youtube and its search algorithms to assist our job placement strategy. We need to start harvesting passion as a resource. People are simply more productive pursuing a passion instead of a paycheck. That's unrelated but thank you anyways.

2023.03.27 06:44 PlinyToTrajan Thoughts on UAW Election Outcome
Ref.
New York Times, Neal Boudette, President Is Ousted in United Auto Workers Election (Mar. 25, 2023) As a former UAW member, I'm grateful for Neal Boudette of the New York Times' coverage of the UAW election, which covered the candidates and election outcome well. However, I felt the article left out an important angle.
There are serious allegations that the UAW election procedure, even under Federal supervision, was flawed, as huge numbers of members never received ballots, and ballots were sent to some who were not eligible to vote. I am one such person. I was not eligible to vote because I quit my unionized employment and thus stopped being a UAW member more than five years ago; nonetheless I received a ballot both for my old Local's election and for the UAW election. I informed the UAW and the Federal Monitor and was more or less ignored.
One of the candidates in the election for UAW President, Will Lehman, has lodged a detailed protest of the election and documented widespread irregularities. (See
Lehman's statement describing the elections issues. Note: this statement was made before Ray Curry conceded and Shawn Fain was pronounced the winner of the election.)
Nonetheless, I think that Shawn Fain probably did have majority support of the members, and I even think he would have won by a larger margin had the election been conducted correctly. He was not the incumbent and was not supposed to win.

2023.03.27 06:37 iexistandthatisit 10 characters that shit on gojo even while being scales below uni+
So I made i post on gojo vs the darkness devil and someone replied in the comments. Now I'm not tackling there response and reason why gojo wins but something they said about gojo.comment in question:
https://www.reddit.com/PowerScaling/comments/1221o9t/why_darkness_devil_vs_gojo_isnt_even_close/jdq6ccp?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3 "One of the most haxed out characters in anime, being able to take on multi continental characters despite being way weaker than them (it'd be a stalemate no matter what match up unless they're universal+)" is what he said
Now I will be listing off a few characters that stomp gojo out, a few of them will have arguments for uni+ or above but I will be downplaying them to prove even with much lower stats they stomp him out
1.
First character is jigen(I forgot how to spell his otsutsuki name).
Here is a link to calcs that even put naruto characters at moon level casually and even some feats at small planet level
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Kepekley23/Naruto_Revision_Calcs Jigen largely upscales all of this. it is clear he is much stronger and more durable than gojo physically so that isn't even a debate.
Here is naruto being calced at relativistic, I found two calcs for this feature and used the one that makes the naruto verse in general look the worse just to exemplify how much of a stomp this still is
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:USklaverei/Naruto_avoids_Madara%27s_light_fang Jigen upscales this massively as well. In the post I made on the darkness devil vs gojo, gojo's reaction speed would be at least above mach 4760 and has a movement speed of around mach 2000. So basically gojo is getting blitzed
Now how jigen gets past infinity.
https://imgur.com/a/ABVKU5L Sasuke explaining jigen's ability aswell as him not being able to counter it.
https://imgur.com/a/iIKgLVo Sasuke showing he cab track baruto from whole other dimensions, yet the rods get shrunk to small for him to be able to find
https://imgur.com/a/Y9RsAbJ. Here it is explained that gojo's brain automatically filters things to prevent them from hitting him. That is where the weakness comes in, the rods would be much too small and much too weak when they are shrunken for gojo's brain to pick up on. Even someone who can sense across dimensions can't pick up on them due to how small they are, gojo has no feats even close to that
In conclusion for the jigen section: gojo is too slow, too weak, and most of all not capable of picking up anything jigen would throw his way. Gojo loses neg diff at best. Likely though the diff would be so low it couldn't even be described as negative, merely imaginary numbers our brains can't comprehend
2.
Next character is naruto. Specifically naruto from the war arc
First things first, as shown from the jigen statement this naruto has relativistic feats and scales to the Madera that preformed a moon level feat. So basically, gojo isn't on his level in terms of raw states.
Now the way he gets through the infinity.
https://imgur.com/a/fi3CMNH. Truth seeker orb following Minato through his teleportation.
https://narutoversity.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/flying-thunder-god-technique/. Explaining the telportation works on wime and space manipulation, yet the truth seeker orb ignores this quality to follow him.
The infinity also works on space and time manipulation so…
Naruto is faster stronger and has the truth seeker orb that has time and space resistance hax. Naruto negs
3.
Juubidara is next.
All of the previous stats would apply to him, he also has the truth seeker orbs. He also negs
4.
Kaguya
Same shit but she is stronger than those previously mentioned besides jigen
5.
Juubito
Once again truth seeker orbs. Outscales pain's almighty push that was called at small country.
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:DodoNova2/Naruto_War_Arc_speed_(2). He outscales this feat. Putting him over mach 50000. He negs too lol.
6.
Finally off the naruto train let's talk about a character from my favorite series, let's talk about reinhard van astrea
I'm terms of raw stats reinhard would be above Reid,
https://imgur.com/a/TLwHzwK This is from a translated q&a from the author of rezero, stating in a fight with chopsticks reinhard>Reid.here is Reid with chopsticks casually cutting light speed attacks
https://imgur.com/a/oXhkfjS.
https://imgur.com/a/YvVkzM0. Reinhard cleaving through the rezero world and also erases reinhard from existence
https://imgur.io/a/cfDAyMv here reinhard is shown to cleave space between him and a target in half. Y'know the thing gojo has to manipulate to use the infinity?
So Reinhard can split space, erase existence, move faster than gojo and hit hard. Reinhard negs low diff
7.
Another rezero hooray. regulus, sin archbishop of greed
Regulus moves at regular human speed. It should be counted but he can use things to move faster
The issues for gojo arise when we talk of regulus's hax.
Regulus's ability works by stopping the time of himself and thing he chooses.
https://imgur.com/a/sYdaoi7. This explains that this makes Regulus and all of his attacks distortions in time. The main purpose of his attacks is they move to there destination and can't be interrupted no matter what is in their way.
https://imgur.com/a/Gtgbl0b his attacks tear apart space
Once again infinity is a filter, gojo wouldn't be able to do anything when the space gojo needs to manipulate is being torn apart.
Regulus shows multiple times that the speed of his attacks are capable of hitting reinhard who has intuition that alerts him of any threats.
https://imgur.com/a/aUszFyH even so he can set undetectable traps with his ability.
Even though his movement speed is human level. Don't expect to save gojo in a 1v1.
https://youtu.be/EEfLHZg0gIo this is Regulus's aggression when someone who is above him in rank tells him to calm down. Considering the aggression regulus shows, if he manages to see gojo once it is likely gojo dies
Due to the aggression regulus shows, his ability to tear apart space, his attack speed being able to hit and even kill reinhard, and his existence as a distortion in space he negs gojo
8.
Next we are talking about Lillie barro from bleach. This one is gonna be pretty short(compared to the rest)
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Alakabamm/Lille_busts_a_city_(because_reasons). Calc for lillie's strength putting it at small island level, above gojo.
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:KakashiMask/Hisagi_dodge_negacion_bleach. Speed feat that lillie massively outscales coming in at mach 3961. Lillie has better movement speed than gojo
https://imgur.com/a/LxPLlXh.lillie explains that nothing is fired, it just pierces anything between it and its target
Lillie moves faster than gojo, has an instant attack that doesn't travel, has the ap to hurt gojo, and gojo has no answer to his other abilities that I don't even think we need to get into to prove my point. Lillie barrow negs
9.
Yamin from black clover
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:USklaverei/Black_Clover:_Feats_of_speed_(Yami_vs_Licht). Speed calcs for taking putting him to ftl
Yam is capable of damaging patry who should be comparable to William, who is capable of large mountain level feats.
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:CloverDragon03/Black_Clover:_William%27s_Magic_Tree_Descent_Redone. This doesn't put him too far ahead of gojo in terms of strength
But this,
https://imgur.com/a/3kpPQ76. An ability that slices through dimensions and negs durability, destroys both gojo's relativity to yami in terms of strength and his only real protection, the infinity
Yami negs with this attack alone
10.
Finally, last but certainly not least we have, LUFFY
I was debating on which one piece character I should put on here but luffy is cool so why not?
Luffy from his fight with kaido would obviously scale somewhere near him.
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:KingTempest16/Kaido_and_Big_Mom_Shake_Hands. So this puts luffy at large island+
https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:EndlessPheonix750/Recalculation_Speed_WB. Old dying wb being ftl, luffy logically should scale atleast but likely above this
https://imgur.com/a/cuXhDc1 ryou example. Allows user to eject haki outwardly as an attack. Main use for luffy was going to be to attack kaido's insides.
Gojo's infinity wouldn't filter an attack that already hit his skin/insides.
As soon as luffy punches gojo the ryou is going to allow luffy to deal real damage to gojo. The ap difference in this situation means gojo gets folded instantly
Luffy negs
Well I'm done. That last one was very very sloppy, so if anyone doesn't really get in, ask and I'll go more In Depth. Anyways gojo is fodder and I'm tired. Goodnight bbg

2023.03.27 06:30 Kingadem00 Competitive PvP is missing an important feature.
Hello all,
This is my first time posting here, so I would like to start with a quick introduction. My IG name is Adem, and I'm a Rank 178 day 1 player. My favorite mode of play in WOTV is PvP, specifically manual. I was one of the lucky 8 to be chosen for our first official manual tournament, and had a great time participating. I am thrilled to see that they will be hosting more tournaments year round, and look forward to watching, and hopefully getting a chance to play in them.
Now that we are seeing some love in the competitive scene, I'd like to bring up an issue that hasn't been addressed by the producers, at least to my knowledge.
Here is the short of it; we need a resume match function for Class Match, Free Match, and Friendly Match.
Let's start with Friendly Match, since that is the mode used in the official tournaments going forward. Currently, the rule for disconnects between players is that if one occurs, within a few minutes of the start, the match will be null and will restarted with both players using same team/formation/staring point(in our manual finals, we both had to agree with this, as I think the rule was made on the fly at that point). I agree with this rule, since it is the best way to work around us not being able to re-connect. It's not optimal though. Both players will be giving away some information to the other, like starting positions, initial buffs, movements, and potential TMRs. Not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of the match, but it is something.
Now let's talk about Class Match. This is easily my favorite thing in the game. I know there are mixed feelings about it with the player base, with many favoring the added auto mode to it. I also know that there are only a few players who strive for top 100, so this doesn't concern the majority of players. However, it is still important.
Imagine yourself theory crafting a team, testing it, getting all the intricacies down, and entering CM. You start to do well. You build your streak, and your rank increases. You get a Bronze Auto player with level 99 units. Easy win, right? "Connection Lost. You may have been temporarily disconnected, or you are in an area with poor connection. Please try again in a place with a stronger internet connection." How is that possible when your high-speed router is literally two feet away? Oh well, it happens, right?
Yes, unfortunately it does happen. I've noticed it has been occurring often, with many players. For most, not a big deal, whatever, move on. But imagine yourself trying to place in the top ladder. Here is an estimated loss allowance for top numbers(roughly, according to my experience):
Rank 1, 0-2 losses
Top 10, 3-4 losses
Top 50, 5-8 losses
It is extremely difficult to place at the top with the normal factors that are at play in CM. Great players, your own mistakes, elemental disadvantage, reflex, Slime. Connection should not be one of them.
We have reconnect on multi. We should have it for our PvP modes.
Essentially, I'm asking for help from the WOTV community to bring this to the attention of those that can make a difference, and hopefully have this issue addressed.
Thank you!

2023.03.27 06:16 NicholeDaylinn1993 How do the silent bids for hosting WNIT games work?
I just noticed the semifinal matchup between Washington and Kansas is already set with Kansas hosting. The games were just played earlier today. Do teams bid before the start of the tournament for each round? Do they bid after each round if they win? I also noticed Bowling Green is hosting Florida tomorrow so I guess it's not too uncommon for a mid major team to outbid a power conference team either.
