2023.06.01 01:40 SCS-Group The Importance of Deep Cleaning in Residential Spaces

Maintaining a clean and healthy home is essential for the well-being of you and your family. While regular cleaning helps keep your living space tidy, there is an equally important task that should not be overlooked—deep cleaning. Deep cleaning goes beyond the surface and targets hidden dirt, allergens, and bacteria that can accumulate over time. In this blog post, we will explore the importance of deep cleaning in residential spaces and how it contributes to a healthier and more comfortable living environment.

Removing Hidden Dirt and Allergens:

Regular cleaning may tackle visible dirt and dust, but it often overlooks hidden areas and hard-to-reach spots. Deep cleaning focuses on those neglected areas, such as behind furniture, under appliances, and in crevices. By targeting these areas, deep cleaning eliminates accumulated dirt, dust, and allergens that can trigger allergies or respiratory issues. It promotes cleaner indoor air quality and reduces the risk of allergic reactions, creating a healthier environment for you and your family.

Preventing the Growth of Bacteria and Germs:

Residential spaces are breeding grounds for bacteria and germs. Kitchen countertops, bathroom fixtures, and frequently touched surfaces are particularly prone to harboring harmful microorganisms. Deep cleaning involves thorough disinfection and sanitization of these areas, effectively eliminating bacteria and reducing the risk of infections and illnesses. By regularly deep cleaning your home, you can create a hygienic environment that minimizes the spread of germs and promotes overall well-being.

Extending the Lifespan of Surfaces and Appliances:

Deep cleaning not only benefits your health but also helps protect your investments. Over time, dirt, grime, and stains can accumulate on various surfaces and appliances, leading to deterioration and damage. Regular deep cleaning prevents the buildup of these substances and helps maintain the condition of your furniture, flooring, countertops, and appliances. By extending their lifespan, deep cleaning saves you money in the long run, as you won't have to replace these items prematurely.

Improving Indoor Air Quality:

Indoor air quality plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy living environment. Dust, pet dander, pollen, and other airborne particles can settle on surfaces and circulate in the air, contributing to respiratory problems and allergies. Deep cleaning includes activities such as vacuuming carpets, cleaning upholstery, and dusting hard-to-reach areas. By removing these particles, deep cleaning improves indoor air quality and promotes better respiratory health for you and your family.

Enhancing the Aesthetics of Your Home:

A clean and well-maintained home is aesthetically pleasing and creates a positive ambiance. Deep cleaning revitalizes your living space by restoring the shine and luster of surfaces, eliminating stains and discoloration, and refreshing the overall appearance. It brings a sense of pride and satisfaction, making your home a more inviting and enjoyable place to live.

Stress Reduction and Peace of Mind:

A cluttered and dirty living space can contribute to feelings of stress and anxiety. It's challenging to relax and unwind in an environment that feels chaotic and unclean. Deep cleaning your home provides a sense of order and cleanliness, promoting a calm and peaceful atmosphere. It allows you to fully enjoy your space and provides peace of mind knowing that your home is clean, organized, and free from hidden dirt and allergens.

Time and Cost Efficiency:

While deep cleaning may require more time and effort compared to regular cleaning, it ultimately saves you time and money in the long run. By regularly deep cleaning your home, you prevent the buildup of stubborn stains and grime, reducing the need for intensive cleaning sessions in the future. Additionally, deep cleaning helps identify potential maintenance issues early on, allowing you to address them before they become costly repairs.

Deep cleaning is a vital component of maintaining a clean and healthy home. By targeting hidden dirt, allergens, bacteria, and germs, deep cleaning promotes better indoor air quality, reduces the risk of illnesses, and extends the lifespan of your surfaces and appliances. Moreover, it enhances the aesthetics of your home, reduces stress, and provides peace of mind. Incorporate deep cleaning into your regular cleaning routine to enjoy the numerous benefits it offers. Your home and your family will thank you for the effort you put into creating a clean and comfortable living space.

2023.06.01 01:40 anongrill88 How to let my brother and his gf know that I want them to move out of my house?

I am a homeowner and for the past year my brother and his gf have lived with me and my now ex (who has moved out). At one point I was thinking of moving away for a bit with some of my friends and renting out my house.
Initially, my bro and his gf wanted to move away and I would have rented to strangers to make ends meet because where I wanted to go was super expensive. Well, my bro and gf decided they wanted to stay. And with what they’re able to afford is not going to be able to cover the cost of my mortgage so I’d have to supplement and pay rent elsewhere so it’s really not an option for me to move anymore. I can’t afford it and I don’t have a job lined up and I can’t lose my current one.
They have already started playing a garden and making plans for the house thinking it’s just going to be theirs for the next year. They also want me to get rid of/sell/ or store my stuff so “the place can feel like theirs”. That is a lot of work and/or money for me.
I’m nervous to let them know that I am not moving because I know they’ll be disappointed and maybe even mad. But I also want to give them time to find a new place. I think they would be happier in their own space and I think it’s time for me to have mine. I want to tell them very soon but I don’t know what I should say.

Kim and Kroy divorce
Ok, so I just saw this on Kim’s IG story. I’m gonna assume that all the sales from biermannscloset.com were linked to Kroy’s bank account and she doesn’t want him getting any money. This makes me wanna buy their gaudy clothes even more, just to spite her😂😂😂😂😂😂 The website is still up, and just knowing this is just a fraction of the clothes they have makes me sick- everything is designer and SO EXPENSIVE!!! She wasn’t rich!!! All she had was quick money from RHOA; I feel like everyone saw this financial ruin coming

2023.06.01 01:39 throwraFrequentRow2 Is there a chance he could come back and rekindle the relationship?

Do men like this ever come back and want to get the relationship back?
In 2021, me (26 f) and this man (30 m) started talking on a dating app. He was extremely keen and very interesting to talk to, texting me non stop talking about random funny things, getting to know each other. It was a connection I’ve never had over text and it felt exciting. And even more so in person. After our first date, he sent me a long text message telling me how much he fancied me and that he’s proud I’m the first person he’s close to in this country
As he was new to my country, I planned the dates, which was walks and meals and other free things to do as he didn’t have much money. He never planned dates but always asked to see me, he sent soppy messages and was constantly complimenting my body and my sense of humour and that I’m lovely
Everything felt special and we had so much in common it was amazing! He was always texting me and sending me good morning messages. He told me he missed me. Every moment we spent together was so so fun and we just clicked.
3 months in though, despite him still being very keen, he still hadn’t planned any dates. There was no effort, he mentioned his ex girlfriends a lot, he seemed moody with me especially when I expressed my needs for more effort.
At 8 months, he seemed to resent me so much. He was unhappy in the job he was doing and didn’t have much money. I tried my best to support him, not financially, but with kind gestures
He dumped me over the phone and never messaged me again. He was crying saying that he hasn’t fallen in love and needs therapy as he hasnt loved in many years
It’s been a year since he left me and I still think about him all the time. So many things remind me of him and as so many of our interests cross over, it makes me sad when I can’t ask his opinion of something or share some exciting news. He didn’t even try and maintain a friendship and I don’t know why
I did try texting him and he didn’t reply. I also completely by chance bumped into him in a random city we both happened to be visiting at the same time and we were on the same train carriage. He kept hugging me and he had tears in his eyes and then we parted ways
I still feel like we were meant to be. Is there a chance someone like him could realise and come back?
*tldr Everyone was so shocked we broke up because everyone said how much of a match we were *

2023.06.01 01:38 Pipistriny I can't help but be mad about this

I am on medical leave currently, and I have been making absolutely no money because of a Sedgwick issue and I had a big bill to pay (move-in fee) so I applied for the cup fund to get the cash to help pay for my move-in fee. I was unsure if it would cover it or not, but I wanted to try.
I got an email from the CUP fund people today denying me because according to my manager, I am not "in good standing" with my current role. I would only assume this means that the store manager thinks I'm not a good worker, or something related to that. That comes off as baffling to me considering I have been on 2 medical leaves this year and I haven't done anything wrong. I get along well with all my coworkers and customers too.
My hunch is that it has to do with the ongoing issues I'm having with him in terms of discrimination and retaliation. I am disabled and have been needing surgeries for my issues, and the SM has made direct and indirect comments to everyone within earshot (customers included) about my disability. He has also lied to partners about how I come in late and no-call no-show (I have never no-call no-showed). They wrote me up and used selective enforcement after one of my leaves. What's more baffling is that I wasn't put on the schedule for a whole month when I requested just 1 day off for a pre-op. You bet that financially ruined me. I have already submitted all incidents to all the agencies and lawyers I can, so hopefully this behavior can end soon.
I might be overreacting, but I can't help feel that this is related. I sent an email to ask what they mean by that I'm not in "good standing" so hopefully I can get an answer. Has anyone else had a similar experience with the cup fund? Also, has anyone actually managed to receive money from the cup fund? Because it seems pretty impossible.

2023.06.01 01:38 PuneQuencher99 23 years old, finding it very hard to figure out what I want to do

I don’t even know where to begin. There’s just nothing that I have an actual interest in that can be turned into an everyday normal career. I like cars, hockey, video games to name a few, but hockey is very hard to get into as a coach who makes salary, you’d have to be lucky to be able to make a career out of video games that doesn’t consist of making them or writing them with degrees, and I don’t want to be a sales person or mechanic on cars I would just want to travel and review them, which also consists of becoming lucky and growing on a social media platform as far as I’m concerned.
I’ve looked into trade jobs like steamfitting, welding, and plumbing, all of which I would be alright with attempting, but none of which I have an actual 100% interest in. I’ve debated the military, but I decided that it’s just not a route I want to go.
I have experience with warehouse like jobs and grocery store sales floor experience that I could hypothetically take into a management position and grow in that field, but unfortunately with where I’m located there aren’t a lot of openings for that route, and I’m not really in a financial position to up and move to find it somewhere else.
I’m not “worried” per say, because I am young and have time, but I am getting to the point where I’m over the crappy small jobs like stocking shelves at a grocery store and really trying to find a career that I’ll make real money with.

2023.06.01 01:37 Drechenaux My Uncle's Basement Housed A Terrible Secret

"Be careful when you gaze into the abyss- for when you do, the abyss also gazes into thee."
I don't think I would've remembered Uncle Ben (that's what I'll call him here) very well if it wasn't for one thing. I had a lot of relative visit us while growing up, but I can hardly recall enough of them to count on one hand.
The memory of him that stood out was when he, before leaving handed me something and then drove off.
I still remember- it was a hundred dollar bill! I was only four at the time, and this was the eighties- though as far as I know I could hand a kind a hundred dollar bill even today and after inflation, they'd be ecstatic. That's the time when even twenty feels like a fortune.
My mother 'kept it for safekeeping' of course- meaning I never saw a cent of it, but that left a lasting impression on me.
I understood, even then, that my Uncle Ben must've been loaded. I often asked my parents what it was that he did- because I sure wanted to do it as well.
The thing is that they never gave me a straight answer. They said that he was a businessman- and other times they would say he was a consultant. Those answers never really satisfied me, though as I got older I noticed that my parent's didn't seem to be hiding the information- they didn't seem to know very well either.
He visited us on and off over the years- every time giving me another extravagant sum of cash or something else valuable. That made me like him quite a bit more than anyone else who visited- and I'd ask why we never went to visit him. My father just said that Uncle Ben liked his privacy.
Don't get me wrong though- it wasn't like we grew up poor. It was just that we never had the money to throw around like Uncle Ben did.
Fast forward towards the future. I had moved out of my parent's house and hadn't seen Uncle Ben in years. I had started my own job and things were more or less going smoothly when I got a phone call from the police.
Uncle Ben... was dead. Now, this was not the first death in the family during my time- several older aunts and uncles had passed away, though they were always people I'd only have seen once or remotely.
This was the first death that hit close to home- Uncle Ben, while not exactly close family, was not a stranger either. I had always up till that point thought of paying him a visit near his isolated home- but things always came up before then.
It looked like that ambition would remain unfulfilled.
But, that wasn't what they had called about. Rather, there was an issue with Uncle Ben's death. He had not died naturally.
I went to go see his body- he was nearly unrecognizable. He had decayed what looked like several months- I was told that he had been found that way when he stopped paying his bills.
There was an odd peculiarity- several of his organs were missing. His liver, notably, was nearly completely gone while there was almost nothing remaining of the spleen or the kidneys. It couldn't have been a disease- but there were no other markings on his body, so it was a complete mystery as to how he had ended up like that, with the coroner saying that he had never seen something like it before in his entire life.
i think- though they never told me this- that they thought I might've been involved somehow. Reason likely being that he had left the vast majority of his wealth to me, and it was no small amount. I could've easily retired right then and there.
That wasn't all though- there were quite a things mentioned in his will which were left at his house. I would have to go there myself to pick them up and sort through them.
I quit my job and went for it- his house was really out of the way, I realized, when it took nearly an hour to drive there and I had seen nothing but greenery all around. The house itself was nice enough- though not quite the mansion I had thought he lived in during my childhood fantasies.
I let myself in- the police had done a well enough job of removing the stench of death from the house.
I never planned on living there, for the record. I couldn't, not knowing what happened there. I felt like I could get at least a decent price for it notwithstanding its location.
It was still quite messy- it would take a few days for me to pack it all up. But then again, there wasn't really anything much left for me to do. My student loans were paid off, and I had no need for a new job.
I slept on the sofa that night. Everything went well, though I did notice a few bites on my skin the next morning- did this place have bedbugs? Better to sleep in the car then.
I started sorting things out- it was rather incredible just how much junk Uncle Ben had accumulated, some of the things I had no clue as to how valuable they were. They looked like junk but could've just as well been antiques for all I knew.
Upstairs, I found a safe of his. I would've struggled with the combination, but as part of his will he'd left a note regarding it.
There was nothing too valuable inside, just a few papers addressed to me.
I have left these here for the day that you may come to inherit what I have. But that isn't limited to just money, Johnathan.
I wish for you to inherit my business as well- if you want. It's too precious of a gift to leave lying around after all. Perhaps you will come to judge me harshly for what it is that I do, but from what I've seen of you Johnathan, you and I are quite alike. I'm sure you'll see the rich benefits that this gift can provide you.
I don't really know how it started or where it began. Maybe this house was used for an old US Military project and was then abandoned or something along those lines- though I myself have never been able to find anything regarding the house along those lines.
The basement of this house contains a set of stairs that leads into it. Every night, from the period of midnight to one A.M., the staircase doesn't lead down into the basement.
The next part is a bit hard to explain. Imagine that all the staircases in the world were connected somehow- kind of how computers are connected via the Internet. But not just all the staircases that exist now- every single staircase that has ever existed at some point in time.
If you go down the last step- although the staircase looks no different- you will find yourself warped somewhere new. Somewhere you could've never imagined. Of course, there are two things you need to be careful of:
  1. You have to go back the same way you came before the clock strikes one. Take a watch with you. If you fail, you will be stuck wherever you ended up.
  2. As long as you are somewhere else, other people can also find themselves back here in the house. The staircase is two-way, though as long as you don't go down first nothing can come up, and once you've come back, nothing else will come up either. It 'closes' whenever you don't go down there.
That is the secret to my fortune. All that you see around you in my house- most of it at least, is stolen. Stolen from different people in different periods of time. I've seen the Aztec Empire, the palace of Ramses II, the ballroom of the Titanic- do remember some places can be dangerous though. Take a gun if you must.
I suppose you'd call me a 'thief'- I prefer calling myself a collector. As far as I know, there are no drawbacks to taking things- I've never altered history in any way so far as I know. I've also never tried to take a person or animal back- I would advise against it.
Aside from that, have fun! I have amassed a massive fortune this way, and I would hate to see that no one used it after my passing.
Needless to say I didn't believe a word of it. This seemed like an elaborate prank set up by him and I went on with my day.
That night, although I slept in my car, I woke up when I heard some strange noises coming from the house. I got up, but when I went in I saw nothing.
The strange rash on my skin got worse even though I was sleeping in my car- I was beginning to think that this might not be a case of bedbugs after all.
Something weird happened the third night as well- I swore I saw a shadow moving around in the house late that night. I was getting rather worried- and my rash was just getting worse.
Maybe it was just paranoia- but I decided to give the stairs a try. I had been avoiding the basement for quite a while now, but I thought it would be worth checking it out.
I didn't go down there past midnight though- I was far too chicken for that. I went in the middle of the day, and at first, all I saw were a set of stairs. I went down them, nothing at all unusual happened.
But then I took a look around the basement. I nearly froze.
In the middle of the room was a sarcophagus- an old one, like you'd expect to see in a pharaoh's tomb. I went to go approach it but the moment I tried to I puked. Just being near the thing made me want to throw up.
The next night, I made my resolve to go down there when my Uncle had advised me too. As I stepped on that last set of stairs, my surroundings changed.
A chilly breeze caught up to me, and the smell of the sea embraced me. I was on a ship- a fairly modern one it seemed. A cruise ship.
Needless to say I freaked out and ran back the way I came- thankfully I managed to make my way back. I shut the door to the basement and then collapsed on the sofa.
Today, I feel even sicker than I ever have in my whole life. I've started seeing it too- something in the shadows that seems to be watching me.
I think I realize what happened now. My Uncle went to go rob an Egyptian tomb- he took the sarcophagus back with him, but he also brought something else back too. A curse.
I can feel it- I can feel it gnawing at my body from the inside, slowly devouring me. Soon enough I'll be an empty husk.
It's been seven days now. I can barely bring myself to stand. I don't think there is a cure for what I have- but I have to try regardless. That thing in the shadows, it seems to be coming closer and closer day by day. I can now make out a pair of glowing red eyes and a row of sharpened teeth. I don't even want to think about what it's going to do to me when it finally materializes- or maybe it's already doing something to me, gnawing me out from the inside. Not that I can do anything now anyway. I don't even have the strength to drive.
The only thing I can think of now is... to walk down the stairs. Maybe I'll end up in a better place than this.
This is a sort of a last letter to the world- I don't know where I'm going to end up, but I hope that I can get away from.... from this... thing.

2023.06.01 01:36 domino_jack01 Is D4 Hardcore still hardcore?

Sorry if this was already asked and I missed it. But I want to know people's thought on the D4 Hardcore.
If you check out this link: https://maxroll.gg/d4/resources/hardcore-guide
There is a mention of two items and both of these paragraphs below I have taken directly from the link above.
Scroll of Escape
The ‍Scroll of Escape is a novelty introduced to Hardcore in Diablo 4. It's a very rare, drop-only consumable you can find while adventuring that allows you to immediately disengage from a fight. Compared to Town Portal, it can be used at any moment and has no cast time - you simply vanish and appear somewhere else. In addition, it protects your character from certain death by activating automatically in a dungeon when your internet disconnects, circumventing the 10 second logout timer.

Elixir of Death Evasion
The ‍Elixir of Death Evasion is a single use Potion you can craft at the Alchemist. When you right click it in your Consumables Tab, you become Immune to Death for 30 minutes. It only prevents death once and makes you Immune to all incoming damage and control impairing effects for the following 2 seconds. After preventing death, there is a 5-minute cooldown until it can save your character's life again.
With the inclusion of these two items, is it truely hardcore anymore? I don't know how difficult it will be to find the Scrolls and craft the Elixir. So maybe coming across these two items will be very rare. However, should these items even exist? Hardcore is meant to be hard. You will die.
I would love others thoughts on this?

2023.06.01 01:36 DaBallPlayer Can anyone give me advice on my situation?

Hi, so I’m currently on a summer break and I want to get into acting. Toronto is the only place I know that has some good acting schools/classes (don’t want to do a degree). I live currently 1 hour away (usually more because of traffic) and I would only have classes somedays.
I’m not sure if this is smart, but my goal is to drive to a go station and then bus to toronto for the classes. After classes, I’m thinking of looking for a job as a waiter or something there in Toronto to do after classes. I would then bus back. I don’t really want to drive to Toronto because of gas + parking might be an issue.
Does this seem feasible or if you were in this situation would you do it differently?
TL;DR most effective way to take acting classes in toronto while making some money and living an hour away?

2023.06.01 01:35 bawyn Content ownership question

My wife wants to make a manga out of a campaign that I GM'd. However, one of the players says that we don't have rights to the character as they made the character. What are your thoughts? Is content ownership shared or the one who created the name and background?
For background the game system is one I built from the ground up and not any IP from any other organization.
Also, if by chance this makes any money, we're open to ideas about how profits are distributed, so this is more about permissions than anything.

2023.06.01 01:34 testingpage2025 My sister goes out almost every night with alcohol and drugs, any advice?

My younger sister who is 21 is going out until 2am almost every single night since summer started. She has a summer job, makes her own money, has amazing grades in uni, but my parents are really worried about her. She stopped taking her depression meds, she keeps going out at night to "hangout with her friends", her and her friends always have alcohol and weed on them, what on earth could they be doing every night ?
For context: I am 3 yrs older than her, and I moved out of my parents house when I was her age. My parents approached her with their concerns a couple days ago, and she responded "(Testingpage2025) lives on her own, she goes out whenever she wants"... Umm yes but I rarely ever am out of my house past 9pm unless I'm finishing work late, and I don't drink nor do I smoke. I think she might have a skewed idea of the type of life I'm living lol. When I moved out 3 yrs ago I was financially set, I had a whole plan of how I was gonna survive financially until I graduated uni and found a full-time job, but if she moves out now she doesn't have nearly enough money to survive, even if she's living with a couple other people. Not only that, I was waayy more mature and wise at her age (not to toot my own horn).
My mom doesn't have anyone she can go to for advice except for me and my dad (since we keep our problems inside the house), and I have no clue how I can help her or my sister. Also, my sister doesn't talk to me so there's no way of me getting any wisdom into her head unless I write her a letter or something. Anyone have any advice for me, or more importantly, for my parents?

2023.06.01 01:34 KittenImmaculate Just starting up again after 16 years...any guides?

I'm up to level 7 (just starting playing again today). Any good guides or walkthroughs? I have some money now and don't know where to buy things, set up stores, etc. Any tips for a new-after-a-long-time player?
