I like traveling to big cities and I’ve been almost everywhere in the US. I love arts and crafts and I always joke that I’d make a hot step mom. I love baking too though I’d really taken a break from it since the holidays. I like cooking but find it a little sad to cook for just one person so I don’t explore it much. I’m having the best year of my life. I’m happy career wise (I work at a restaurant that I love with amazing coworkers) and I feel like I’ve really gotten finances figured out. Mostly due to me really wanting to buy a house next year. It’s important to me that any future partners believe in their ability to make and stick to financial goals, even if they haven’t really made goals in the past. I don’t mind helping someone figure it out as long as you’re willing to make sacrifices to achieve your goals.
I grew up in a super conservative and sort of religious household (did anyone else get Bill OReilly kids books for Christmas) and I hate politics now and I’m agnostic, but I’d say a lot of the same values shaped me. Sometimes I think about going to church just for the sense of community but I’ve been saying that for the last 10 years lol.
I get not everyone has a perfect life or upbringing but I’m really looking for someone who makes the best out of their situation and that’s proven to be a little difficult on Reddit. I truly believe things happen through us and not to us so I find self pity to be a little draining. Please be a generally positive person who believes they have the power to change their lives and circumstances.

We feed our cat twice each day with an automatic feeder. Every day, without fail, he moans for about an hour or 90 minutes straight until the food opens (the two feedings are close together). We went away and put a camera to watch him, and it has audio. We watched before he ate and he only moaned three times and then stopped. Now that we know he moans just for us, we would like to figure out a way to get him to stop like he did when we were away. Any ideas?

I was wondering if there's something clearly wrong/bad or that could be improved. Some additional info:

• I'll use the PC primarily for gaming (mostly ARPGs Diablo4, POE, Last Epoch and possibly some AAA title).
• I plan to have a second OS (linux) to be able to do some light coding and test code that requires CUDA (e.g., pytorch and huggingface) hence the 2 HD.
• This is will the first PC i'll assemble myself!!
• I'd like the PC to be as quiet as possible

Some open questions I still have: * OS, win10 or win11? are there any substantial differences? * cooling, I'd like the pc to be quiet but I'm afraid of messing up installing a liquid cooler, what's your recommendation?

We're e-bike newbs but my wife test rode a Cannondale Neo Allroad + Adventure 4 Neo, a Tern GSD, and a COOP E1.2 and she liked the COOP on 20" wheels the best.
I had planned to order a Cannondale Compact Neo, but it seems none anywhere around here are available for demo or inbound. In the event any of you have tried the two of them, I'd appreciate some comparative input. If you're more bike knowledgeable than me (you probably are, I promise) I'd also like to know how they stack up on paper per specs?
TBH the COOP options are $1198-1518 on sale this weekend, plus a $300 rebate from our city. The Cannondale is $1900 plus $600 rebate from my city.
P.S. other brands of bike are not really under consideration- we live under 2 miles from REI and purchasing either model from them is ideal for warranty / repairs.

So earlier this week I made a post about how my friend flashed me and claimed it to be an accident. I’ve talked it over with my mother and have told her I’m planning on having a talk with her. Her reaction was basically telling me it’s about time. I plan on telling her after a dance social next Wednesday. I have never been more terrified in my life. So lately I have started to try and interact with Discord via their gateway for mass user scraping, and I have come across some things that I would like some clarification on. Hopefully this subreddit could be of help!

Opcode 14 VS. Opcode 8

The main consensus I have come to is that opcode 14 is used for when you want to fetch online members, and opcode 8 is for trying to fetch the whole member-list of server (brute-forcing the guild search functionality).
I don't really know if that is correct though, from my testing it seems that smaller guilds return their whole member list opcode 14 is used.

Something else I don't really understand is fetching certain member-list ranges (as well as respectively subscribing to the events?). The message payload I am sending to the gateway is supplied below:

After I receive a SYNC message form Discord with the members from the given index, should I make a new request with new range of indices? ([[0, 99], [100, 199]] or [[100, 199]])
The implementation I was thinking of using would just be consecutively fetching larger and larger indices until an INVALIDATE message was sent, meaning the range I am now requesting is invalid.

So during my initial testing I have came to the somewhat uneducated conclusion that the discord gateway only sends back certain data when implementing opcode 14. I am looking to scrape the information below (a typescript type for the sake of simplicity)

My initial but of course short-lived idea was to have a resolver that just took in a batch of userIds and a token, and would hit https://discord.com/api/v9/users/{user-id}/profile for each of them. There has to be some better way of doing so though, right?

I find myself bending my rules for you in ways you probably don't even realize. I’m admittedly pretty rigid when it comes to relationships. I have acquaintances, but my inner circle is intentionally kept small. I’ll often find reasons, any reasons really, to create a certain distance from people. I realize this could make me sound sort of heartless, but it’s the truth.

So, to start off I wanna say this girl (Madison) had been dating her boyfriend (Javier) for over 2 years. He cheated on her last weekend and when she caught him, he just broke up with her on the spot. It was really sudden and out of nowhere, as it caught me and our other friends by surprise.

The next morning, we had a talk. She said she liked me and I told her it’s probably for the best it’s not acted on in the immediate future. I told her I think deep down I do too, but that she is emotionally reeling and I don’t want to make rash decisions with her when she is vulnerable.
She didn’t like that, and despite recent events, she said she is capable of thinking with logical and emotional intelligence. Her exact words being “I told you how I felt, and you still managed to make me the problem” and I told her it’s not like that, I just wouldn’t wanna rush things. She cut me off and said “I thought you would be the kind of partner that I can trust to let me make my own decisions and not put me in a box”
It honestly caught me by surprise. I didn’t expect that reaction, and now I feel like I somehow fucked things up by playing it safe, and I don’t know if that’s says more about me or more about her.

TLDR: best friend was cheated on and her boyfriend broke up with her, she has been staying with me, made a move after a long night, we talked about it the next morning and I think I insulted her unintentionally.

My (23yo) friend Hannah (fake name) is refusing to talk to me because I agreed that her (25yo) boyfriend Patrick (fake name) has a right to be angry at her for using adult toys.
When Hannah and Patrick first started dating Hannah made it clear that watching porn is just as bad as cheating to which Patrick agreed with and believes that if you need porn to get off your clearly don’t have a good sexual relationship with your partner. Patrick also made it clear that he didn’t like the thought of using sex toys or Hannah using them, Hannah had already had a few toys before meeting Patrick but agreed to not use them because she didn’t wanna make him uncomfortable.

Patrick slept on the couch and in the morning reminded her of the boundaries that they had set when they first started dating and if she wasn’t satisfied with him anymore she should have talked about it with him and not gone and brought a toy knowing he was uncomfortable with her using them.
He has been staying with his brother and Hannah thinks he might break up with her, I told her she try should talk to him but he had a right to be angry because they both set boundaries, she broke them and she was in the wrong, now she thinks I’m being the asshole.

In a relationship with a man who has 2 kids. SD(9) and SS (5). Been with him for almost 3 years. Lived together for 2. BM would not allow me to meet the kids until they went back to court for a custody adjustment. Her lawyer talked some sense into her so she finally allowed me to meet the kids.
I've never EVER spoken to this woman in my life. She refuses to meet me, but finds the need in always dragging me into their problems. They speak on Talking Parents app and she's still petty and childish. When i was first around the kids, she asked my bf to not leave the kids alone with me. Understandable, i was new to them. But her version staying alone with them was that she was requesting that when we needed to pump gas, i had to do it. Because those were 30 seconds of unauthorized time alone Id have with the kids while he pumped gas...she also requested that when the kids were over, i had to take out the trash. Because again, those were 30 seconds of unauthorized time with them. It has just been petty shit after shit.
One evening during drop off, she was already mad about something and saw me in the passenger seat of his car. Mind you, i never get out of the car, they handle their business. She sent him long paragraphs about how she swore on her life how I'll never be around drop offs and that i wasn't authorized to be there and how she'd take him back to court just to never see me in the car with him again during drop offs.
She pulls stunts to prove to herself or maybe even to me that she still has him by the balls because of the kids. Texted him on a Thursday night at 9pm asking about a jersey, he told her he had it, then proceeds to tell him he needs to drop it off that night. She needed it for Friday morning. He tells her he has plans, she replied "i don't give a fuck about you and your plans, you will drop off the jersey when i say so". They argued for an entire hour. We had plans 1.5 hours way from where she lived but in the end she won. She finally told him that jersey was for a project and SD was going to lose points if she didn't wear it. Guilt tripped my bf. We drop everything we were doing to go drop off the jersey. He emails the teacher about how she did and finds out there was never a project to begin with...an entire show. For what???....and she does this right when things get peaceful or they haven't argued in weeks.
Recently we went to medieval times and the 4 of us took a family pic. His daughter begged us to take a copy home so we bought her one. The next time they came over, the pic was returned to us. She told my bf that his daughter wanted nothing to do with the pic and that there's boundaries. That no picture of me or my bf was to ever enter her home. Like dude...it's for the kids...his daughter was pretty sad she couldn't keep the pic at home.
The only time her and i have ever been close to each other was one time at Starbucks, they had to talk among themselves and the kids because of how the kids had been behaving lately. I purchased my coffee and left back to the car.

My bf had to have an emergency dental procedure and has to be put to sleep. The kids needed to be picked up. He asked her if it was ok for me to do it since he'd be loopy, she replied yes. Then of course the night before his procedure, she replied telling him she changed her mind and she has emailed the entire school to let them know I'm not allowed to be around the kids. Like wtf?? For what?...I'm HELPING you guys. He's tried putting me on the pick up list in case of emergency and she has managed to take me off every time. She's a complete shit show
And again, they talk through talking parents. She's called me names, dragged my name left and right, has called us clowns. Had made up scenarios that never happened and it's crazy to me how she can keep doing this
We went to court to ask how we can get the harassment to stop, printed out about 30 pages of screenshots in the app and they literally told us to turn around and go home. They can't make a person act right.
Like wtf? So we're just supposed to live like this? If her requests aren't done, she's allowed to send 20 + texts until she harasses and guilt trips us enough??? She literally does not stop texting and calling my bf names, and telling him he's a shit parent until she gets her way. It's her way of throwing a tantrum.

While my wife was alive every spring would involve going out to get flowers to plant. I would grumble and get crabby about planting them. Because she was disabled, used a wheelchair, and had mobility issues due to joint fusions and replacements, 80 to 90 percent of the planting fell on me.
The spring she passed away I hitched up my pants and went out and got flowers. I was able to get them planted without being grumpy or crabby. I felt it was my way of showing my love for her and finding a way to keep her spirit with me.
Most springs I don't have an issue with getting out and buying flowers. This year, well this year has sucked. I wound up in the hospital almost 2 months ago because of a afib (actually an atrial flutter) that presumably was caused by a bout of pneumonia that I had. Wound up as an inpatient for a week and had to have my heart shocked back into rhythm. Came home from the hospital with the lingering effects of the pneumonia and then 3 weeks later, wound up with COVID.
This weekend was the first weekend that I had the opportunity to go get flowers. I knew that there were flowers that were must haves. Zinnias were always top on that list. She had a service dog when we first met named Zinnia or Zinny for short. Zinnias at the local super big box hardware store are not generally in abundance at their garden center. I have for the past few years been able to get to a local nursery where there was a large selection.
Got up this morning and headed out to that nursery only to find that they were closed for the season already (yeah, sort of like a dump being closed on Thanksgiving). Found my way to the garden center at the big box store to hope that I could find them. As I was walking through the isles of plants, I could hear her in my head saying "sweetie, it is okay if you don't find them" My reply to that was, I will find them!
Fortunately I found them and I bought the last two that were in the garden center that I saw. Normally I have at least a dozen of about 6 different varieties. I have them planted as of this evening and I can feel her sign with gratitude that I found them for her (I did find the pansies before all of this health nonsense I have been dealing with, it was the only other must have she wanted every year).
