I don't get why Sam chose to leave Bridges and everyone behind, and take off with Lou. It feels like his choice is representative of the culmination of the story as a whole. It starts as a forced attempt to put the world back together, and over time hope is brought into the world, with Sam slowly opening up to those around him. Then they do it, they connect the world, delay the Last Stranding, buying humanity time. But instead of that being a good thing, it's bad, or at best neutral. The Chiral Network almost doomed everyone despite being their only hope, Sam doesn't doesn't care about anyone or the world anymore than he did at the begining, even though he has clearly realized how much he needs them and they need him. Instead of a positive message of "we need each other", it's a pessimistic one of, "do we though? I mean, we're all gonna die soon anyway so who cares." Am I missing something? It just feels like the game doesn't know what message it wants to tell.

I spent my 20s bouncing around living situations because my mom died without warning right before my High School graduation. We grew up dirt poor and I found out a few years ago that she was months behind on rent too, but the house was owned by my grandparents or else we would have been homeless.
A little over a decade later, I found out that a cousin had been pulling the strings behind the scenes and manipulated my grandfather to change over his will. I didn't find out about this until everything was all said and done. My college fund was taken as well, since it was in my mom and grandmother's name, so he got control of it. My cousin even got the house I was told in my teens that I would likely inherit.
The ONLY thing that didn't get stolen through elder abuse was an irrevocable trust set up in the early 90s by my grandparents. I'm the beneficary, and a certified financial planner who has been a friend of the family since the 80s is the trustee. Basically, I can't get money out of it on my own, I have to go through her and she's legally obligated to act in my best interests. Apparently, there was SOME money my cousin didn't know about that went into the trust per my grandmother's will. However, I'm no "trust fund baby". I can't go out and buy luxury items let alone rely on the Trust to pay all my living expenses for the rest of my life.
Here's another wonderful kicker: I'm disabled physically and mentally. Autism spectrum, PTSD, generalized anxiety and major depression (likely related to the trauma and distress over the years). I was born with stickler Syndrome, which is a degenerative connective tissue disorder. Marfan and Ehlers Danlos are more well-known but fall under the same general umbrella, but Stickler is basically that your body doesn't produce collagen correctly, leading to bone, heart, vision, and hearing problems varying in degree from person to person.
I already have severe enough joint problems that physical therapy can't fix. I have fissures, cysts, and completely worn down cartilage and I'm only in my early 30's. I can't walk or stand for more than 20 minutes without severe pain and risk of falls, and I'm not supposed to use stairs frequently. Even sitting for more than 4hrs a day with breaks causes pain.
I've also been having neurological issues including 24+hr headaches and week+ long vertigo that seems to crop up randomly (even today, I was staring right at my laptop screen when I suddenly felt like I was drunk for no reason) and am awaiting an appointment for imaging tests and possibly Multiple Sclerosis testing. All of these things- diagnosed and not yet diagnosed combined, primary care doctors and therapists have agreed that I should be on social security and shouldn't exacerbate some of my conditions by continuing to work (unless I can find something that's fully accommodating).
I grew up in PA but bounced all around during my housing instability. The year before Covid, I was put back into housing instability when my housemate could no longer afford her inherited home and had to sell, so I had to leave the first stable and SAFE home I'd had in almost a decade, and my accommodating job as a result. I struggled to find that stability again, and while Covid was the first time I felt like I wasn't under pressure to find that stability immediately (I was living with a friend) it did fuck up my chances of finding employment once things started opening up again. My friend wanted his rec room back and told me I needed to move out (something he says he now regrets doing, but I understand). My only option was to move with an online friend in CA.
That went spectacularly, by which I mean he turned out to be incredibly histrionic and unstable and almost rendered me homeless. Other online friends helped shack me up in a motel and then let me couch crash for a bit. I ended up losing half my stuff including things from my mom and all my art from the past decade, because he kept changing the goalposts on how and when I could come get my stuff, and technically I was living with him off his lease, and didn't want to render him and his 7yo homeless by trying to take legal action.
My partner is one of his former best friends. Former because he's completed disgusted by what was done to me, and has heard a lot of flat-out lies from this person as to what happened. Shit like saying "multiple therapists warned me about him" to make me look like a terrible person, when 1. He only had 1 therapist and she moved out of network 2 months before this went down so he had none. 2. Feeding a patient's negative thoughts about someone based on hearsay and conjecture is a MASSIVE liability and something any therapist worth their salt knows not to do.
I was working night audit at a small hotel from February of last year until December, when I was immediately pulled and put on state disability by my primary care doctor after a fall while I was alone at work. California's state disability aid is based off taxed income, so there's a limit to how long you can use it. Mine runs out July 1st and after that I have no income and can't work. In CALIFORNIA. A lot of our homeless are disabled because it's so impossible to live in this state if you can't work full time.
I will be applying for SSI, but up until last February, I had NO medical records due to not being able to afford health insurance or stay in one place long enough for appointments. I had my PTSD and depression diagnosis, but not even records of my Stickler birth defect. You need ample documentation to apply for Social Security, and with a rare birth defect and specialists often having to be scheduled months in advance, that's not quick and easy task. I'll FINALLY be applying late this summer.
I acknowledge I'm WAY luckier than most people in my situation, because of the Trust, but that's where my current hurdles are. Like I said, I can't just pull from it willy-nilly, which I'm grateful for in some ways as panic-spending might have depleted me a while ago.
Back in April, the Trustee said that I could get a mobile home in a park back home in east PA, up to 75k$ budget. There are homes in that range, but I also have to keep in mind location and lot rent. With SSI being 914$ federally (PA has no state supplement), obviously I can't go for a park with a 800+ lot rent even with assistance programs like SNAP and LIHEAP. PA isn't a rent capped state thanks to a lot of legislators owning rental properties, so landlords can legally increase rent by a hundred per year (and they have). Ever since the housing crisis, mobile home parks have become the affordable option, and some parks have been bought up by corporations who are trying to price out Social Security recipients so they can get more money from people trying to get out of apartment living but who can afford lot rents closer to apartment rent costs.
Today, my top choice home got scooped up, and the Trustee is saying that she would rather I move back and rent so I can go see the mobile homes in person rather than relying on a local friend to do the tour with me on video call. Which, yes, I agree, except...
How the fuck am I supposed to do that when no apartment- independently or company owned- will rent to me when I am not employed and my only source of income is an irrevocable Trust? My credit score is 684 and climbing, I have no debt history, my current housemates can vouch for me in terms of cleanliness, respect, and always paying rent in advance. Even with all that, landlords want things like last two pay stubs, proof of 2-3x rent in stable income, or someone else who has those things to be on the lease with me.
Room rentals? Also borderline impossible. It took me almost half a year to find my current room rental. I have a cat with an ESA letter, but that doesn't allow me past no pets policies in most room rentals. I also got ghosted more than half a dozen times when I was talking with someone about a rental and then informed them I'm transgender, which could be anything, but I'm willing to wager more often than not it was discriminatory. My physical disability also means I can't get anything that requires frequent stair use, like a basement or upper level room rental, or one of the many split-level historic homes that have been converted into the only low-income apartments in the area. There's even apartment buildings so old they don't legally need to have elevators.
Section 811 exists for disabled folks, but county and city housing agency I contacted either doesn't have it, or it requires you to already be in crisis and unhoused. Senior centers can accept up to 20% resident population that's non-elderly but disabled, but either have NYC luxury apartment prices because of the amenities, or a huge buy-in.
I'm just so. Utterly fucking exhausted.
I spent most of my formative adult years just trying to get stability, while spending my formative childhood years in deep poverty with a mother whose mental health was deeply impacted by a stroke she suffered when I was 16 who laid her hands on my throat once, would alternate between being a loving "hip" mom and screaming at me over mundane bullshit, and would constantly tell me that she could have another stroke and die if I upset her. In my housing instability, I've been sexually assaulted, verbally harassed, or just lived with couples who were constantly fighting.
I want a stable and safe home where I'm not at risk of having to move within ten years. Housing in general is ridiculous, but it's like for us disabled folks, unless we have family or a spouse to live with? Not even the housing options meant to keep us from ending up homeless are available.
I already have my plane ticket (fully refundable) back home for September 9th since I had to book early to get a good deal and lock in my cat's registration for the flight.
I'm just worried that even though I have an opportunity a lot of struggling people don't, I won't even be able to get anything.
If I'm being forced to find a rental, it would be a miracle if I find something in time that won't turn me away for having a cat, relying on Trust for income, being queer, or being unable to use stairs.

These are some of the things that I read in the past that I think can explain my behavior the best.
When I was 13 years old, my mom took me to a big city to live with my grandmother, so I could prepare for college entrance exams in India. I was a good student up until that time. I was consistently in the top 3 to top 5 spots in my class. But once I moved in with my grandmother, I completely stopped attending school. I used to beat my mother and my grandmother. I forced my mom to sell her jewellery to buy me computers and mobile phones.
Fortunately in India back then, I did not had to attend a school to sit through the highschool exams. I did manage to get a high school degree without attending school. But I had shitty grades. I got into a very very shitty, extremely expensive college. I never got along with any one in my class back then. I managed to get good grades in college and I got a good GRE score. I came to America and did my masters here. I got a high paying software engineer job straight out of grad school. But in the 6 years I have been working. I was not able to get along with any one.
I am constantly getting into fights with my co-workers. I am constantly having screaming matches with them. I am getting into trouble with the HR a lot.
Last year I saw my dad beat my mom for the first time when I was in India. I totally lost it. I thoroughly thrashed my dad. But things haven't been the same for me since then. I am deeply worried about my mom.
I had a very very serious fight with my boss who was saying racist shit about Indians. HR fired me because of it. Fortunately I have another job lined up and I will be starting this job next month.

You may have noted the drop in Nitrogen and rise in Magnesium. This is the reason you'll see different hydroponic solutions sold for the different stages. I personally never saw the need to change out solutions from vegetative growth to flowering/fruiting stage. I simply worked out a formula with the needed amounts for the vegetative grow and increased the magnesium in it to fruiting levels. This is on the belief that the plant will take what it needs when it needs it.
To make a solution and know the PPM of the given constituents within the solution you need to first make a 1 mol solution for each of the chemicals. Most of these chemicals are already used in gardening so you can pick them up from your local nursery, for the others you can easily order them online.

Understanding Mol Solutions.

Calculating a 1 mol solution for a given molecule is the first step, this is done by taking the given molecular formula and breaking it down to it’s constituent parts.
For Example, Potassium Nitrate is KNO3 Which breaks down to

You then look up the Mole weight on each of these atoms. (Mole weight is listed on the periodic table under the name of the atom, center bottom of the square. (Note: the oxygen mol weight is multiplied by 3. one for each atom of oxygen in the molecule.)

Adding these up gives you 101.1 which means that a 1 mol solution will be 101.1g dissolved in 1L of water.
Now lets work out the PPM per ml of the 1 mol solution. As a simplification we can take the mol weight of the potassium and simply call it ppm. This is a general rule of thumb. However if you want to do the math and work it out you can use the following.
Mass of potassium = (39.10 g/mol) * (1 mol of K/1 mol of KNO3)= 39.10 g/mol
Mass of potassium in 1L solution = (39.10 g/mol) * (1 mol/L)= 39.10 g/L
Total mass of solution = mass of potassium nitrate + mass of water
= 101.10 g + 1000 g
= 1101.10 g
PPM of potassium = (mass of potassium in 1L solution / total mass of solution) * 10^6
= (39.10 g/L / 1101.10 g) * 10^6
≈ 35,486 PPM
Now divide by 1000 to get the ppm per ml of solution. Which gives us 35.48ppm
So it is just easier to follow the rule of thumb and be with +/- 5ppm.
For our above example, we used 1L of water and 101.1g of Potassium Nitrate.
K = 39.1ppm
N = 14.01ppm
O3 = 48.00ppm
If you take 1ml of the potassium Nitrate 1 mol solution and add it to 1L of water, you get 39.10 ppm of K and 14.01 PPM of N. You can drop the Oxygen molecule from this as the plants will not use it as a nutrient and instead use it in the production of C6H12O6 and other internal processes. The same applies for other compounds that you will see in the molecules like Hydrogen and Carbon.

Now lets put this together and work out a nutrient formula for lettuce.
From the paper “ U.C. Samarakoon, et al (2006) Effect of Electrical Conductivity EC of the Nutrient Solution on Nutrient Uptake Growth and Yield of Leaf Lettuce Lactuca sativa L in Stationary Culture” We find that testing shows for best growth you want to be in the range of the following.
N 59 ppm
P 27 ppm
K 68 ppm
Ca 48 ppm
They provide no amounts for Mg or S so we just need to make sure they are in the normal range for vegetative growth.
Let me pause here and explain that I have a spread sheet that breaks down each of the chemicals I have on hand to the PPM contents in a 1 mol solution. It allows me to put how many ml of each I'm adding to 1L and displays the N,P,K,Mg,Ca,and S in PPM as well as the total PPM of the solution. It also has a multiplier that allows me to say how many liters I need and it will tell me how much of each to add. Unfortunately it is a work product and not something I can share. However, making such a spread sheet for yourself would be a great exerciser to help you learn how it all works together.
In order to work out what is need to make the above solution we start by breaking down each of the chemicals we have on hand into 1 mol solutions and listing their parts. This lets us calculate the PPM per addition using the known quantities in solution.

Lets start my determining the amount of Potassium chloride we need, this is the easiest one of the bunch. Simply divided the needed PPM by the PPM provided in 1ml of a 1 mol solution. (68/39.10) and we need 1.75 ml of potassium chloride to reach 68.43 ppm in 1L of water. Next lets look at the triple super phosphate. This one contains both phosphate and calcium, so if we are wanting the phosphate to be at 27ppm we would simply do as before and divided it out. (27/61.94=0.5ml) This gives us 30.97PPM of phosphate this also adds 20.05ppm of Calcium. So we need to take that into account.
We can finish up the calcium using calcium oxide. Again we divided it out by the needed ppm of calcium. We need 48ppm of calcium, we so far have 20ppm from the triple super phosphate, this leaving us with 28ppm needed. So we divided out the calcium oxide as (28/40) showing us we need 0.7ml of calcium oxide.
This leaves us with just needing the nitrogen content at 59ppm. We can use Urea and divided it out as (59/28.02) Showing us we need 2.2ml of Urea to reach 61.64ppm of nitrogen.
So far we have the following
N 61.64ppm (Urea 2.2ml per 1L)
P 30.97ppm (triple super Phosphate 0.5ml per 1L)
K 68.43ppm (Potassium Chloride 1.55ml per 1L)
Ca 48.11ppm (Calcium Oxide 0.7ml per 1L)
We are now down to needing the Magnesium and Sulfur which is great as both are present in magnesium sulfate. Here is where the catch comes in, in concentration Magnesium Sulfate will react with just about any of the items containing calcium and cause a precipitate. As such if we are making a concentrate solution to add to 1L of water we can not add the Magnesium Sulfate to the mix. Thus we end up with a part A and Part B as we need to keep the Magnesium Sulfate away from both the triple super phosphate as well as the calcium oxide.
Doing the math again, we take the smallest of the two compounds in Magnesium sulfate (The Sulfur) and divide it by the ppm needed (24.3/50) This gives us about 2ml per 1L to get it into the range needed. This actually gets us to the low end of the Mg range and personally, I would consider adding another .5ml to be on the safe side. It is always better to be a little over the number you are shooting for than to be below it.
To sum it up we have the following
N 61.64ppm (Urea 2.2ml per 1L)
P 30.97ppm (triple super Phosphate 0.5ml per 1L)
K 68.43ppm (Potassium Chloride 1.55ml per 1L)
Ca 48.11ppm (Calcium Oxide 0.7ml per 1L)
Mg 60.75ppm (Magnesium Sulfate 2.5ml per 1L)

That gives us your basic A and B parts with Part B being the Magnesium Sulfate that you would want to add first to dilute it before adding the Part A with everything else.
Note: Use a pipette to measure down to 1/10 of a ML. In a pinch you can use 1cc syringes which will also allow you to measure to 1/10 of a ML. A cc and a ml are the same amount. Make sure to clean it between measurements or use a separate one for each measurement.

Micro Nutrient Solution

Micronutrients play a critical role in hydroponic solutions, carrying out essential functions for the growth and development of plants. Additionally, micronutrients regulate plant hormones, activate enzymes, and ensure overall plant well-being. Insufficient micronutrient supply in hydroponic solutions can lead to stunted growth, diminished yields, nutrient deficiencies, and heightened vulnerability to diseases. Hence, incorporating micronutrients into hydroponic solutions is imperative to achieve optimal plant growth, development, and overall plant health.
The range of concentration for a micronutrient solution is as follows.
Iron 0.5-5.0ppm
Boron 0.1-1.0ppm
Manganese 0.1-1.0ppm
Zinc 0.02-0.2ppm
Molybdenum 0.01-0.1ppm
Copper 0.02-0.2ppm
As Im sure you noticed, these are very small numbers and difficult to get to. For example, I could dilute 0.05g of boric acid in 10L of water which would give me a concentration of 0.5ppm of boron per ml. Then you face the fact that is 10L of solution, which Is a lot to have sitting around. To solve this issue, I use a double dilute step. For example if I make a solution of 2.86g of boric acid in 1L of water, then use 1ml of that solution into another liter of water, the final product will have .5ppm of boron per ml. Thus I can take 1ml of the second solution and add it to 1L of water to get .5ppm which is right in the middle of the requirements for the boron micronutrient.
Lets go over the calculations so you can see how I got to those numbers.
We have 2.86g of boric acid in 1L of water.
So ppm = (mass of solute / volume of solution) x 1,000,000
This is (2.86/1000)*1000000 which is 2860ppm per ml of solution.
Now we can calculate the ppm of the boron in solution using this formula
Concentration of boron (in ppm) = Concentration of boric acid (in ppm) * (Molar mass of boron / Molar mass of boric acid)
This works out to 2860*(10.81/61.83) or 498.44ppm per ml of solution.
Now if I take 1ml of solution and add it to 1L of water we can simply divide the 498.44/1000 where we get .49844ppm per ml of the new solution. Thus putting 1ml of the new solution per liter of water will give us a proper amount of the boron micronutrient.
I could stop here and tell you to figure the rest out as you now have a basis for calculating everything. Though Im not going to, truth is I calculated the needed items for micronutrient many years ago and it works out as follows.
2.86 g boric acid
1.81 g manganese chloride - 4 hydrate
0.22 g zinc sulfate - 7 hydrate
0.02 g 85% molybdic acid
0.08 g copper sulfate
1g Fe-EDTA
Now if you take 1ml of the above solution and mix it with 1l of water, then each ml of the new solution will contain
Iron 1ppm
Boron .5ppm
Manganese .5ppm
Zinc 0.6ppm
Molybdenum 0.01ppm
Copper 0.019ppm
Which is the right amount for 1L of micronutrient. If im making a concentrate to add to water, Ill add the micronutrient to the magnesium sulfate as they will not react. Though to be honest, it can be added to ether the part A or part B it is your choice.
That should sum up all you need to know to make your own nutrient solution in both concentrate as well as normal strength for the plants. With a little testing you may even find that your plants under your environment react better to some minor changes in your nutrient formulas published.

In the process of buying a house and I am loan shopping. Basically the two best options I’ve come up with are either lock in at 6.5% with no fees, or pay down the points and lock in at 5.75% for a total cost of $6600. Loan officer told me if the rate drops more then .25% between now and closing they will allow me to re-lock the rate at the lower rate for no cost. If I lock in at the lower rate and pay the points will it help me get a lower rate later when I go to refinance? If I start at 5.75% instead of a 6.5% will it help me get a lower refinance rate later?

Since becoming one again, LIJ’s been on a tear through NJPW’s ranks this year in spite of Shingo Takagi dropping the belt and PAC losing the New Japan Cup Finals to the current World Champion. IWGP United States, IWGP Tag Team (Death Triangle have become LIJ affiliates through PAC), and NJPW World Television Championships in their grasps, they seek to round out the group by all holding titles simultaneously. But that begs the question – who’ll be going after the World Title? Though Shingo’s battle ready, he insists Tetsuya Naito take it this time, the Stardust Genius having worked his back off to rebound from Wrestle Kingdom. Failing every attempt in the past 3 years though, the question remains whether he can truly pull it off this time, or if it’s just not meant to be.

Though it drives the Bastard to work doubly-hard, especially considering how it’ll look if he pins the World Champion, it also makes their teamwork suffer, PAC becoming self-absorbed in getting the pin. Backfiring, a Sudden Death from Phantasmo knocks his lights out, SG getting their win back from NYD and putting the challenger on the backfoot heading into Madison Square Garden!

Naito keeps his cool, emanating his usual larger-than-life aura as he walks out in a pristine crimson suit, paying homage to Shingo, whilst Sabre’s cockier than ever with his recent streak of huge wins, knowing he has Tetsuya doubting himself after their tag. As he hands his title over, the two come face-to-face, SABRE SPITTING GUM INTO NAITO’S FACE, but Tetsuya doesn’t let ZSJ’s tactics faze him, having come too far for too long to let mind games be his downfall.

Circling each other, Zack lunges for a lock-up but Naito walks past, smirking and stretching in the opposite corner. Sabre rolls his eyes as Tetsuya turns around and tells him ‘tranquilo’, before going for it again… Zack snatching the headlock this time as Naito tries to repeat, but Tetsuya instantly whips him to the corner, teasing the COMBINACION CABRON as ZSJ braces himself… Naito stops in front of him and does the ‘Abre los Ojos’ taunt!

Furious, Sabre piefaces him, NAITO RETURNING A FOREARM, AND WE’RE OFF! Trading strikes, Zack rocks Tetsuya with European Uppercuts, Naito returning forearms, before a Japanese Arm Drag stops Zack in his tracks! Naito goes for another, but Zack hooks onto Tetsuya’s legs, tripping him up and contorting the foot! Tetsuya boots him off with the other, a Neckbreaker and a Somersault Senton connecting, though Sabre absorbs the latter, trapping Naito’s arm onto the mat to STOMP THE HAND!

Picking him back up, he cracks Naito with chops, before whipping him at the ropes, Naito hitting off them one after the other to build momentum, teasing the Flying Forearm Zack’s expecting… only to roll into the Tranquilo pose! THEY’RE DRAPED IN GOLD, BABY! Entering his second of fifteen G1s as the reigning champion, Naito heads B Block opposite stiff competition. Though dispatching of Hiromu in friendly competition on Night One, the two are subsequently assaulted by KONGOH post-match, allowing NOAH’s KENOH to upset him the following night! Behind the 8-ball already, Tetsuya’s motivated to make a comeback, mowing through Narita, Tanahashi, Yota, Sabre, and KENTA to take back the lead! Suffering another surprise defeat at Jeff Cobb’s hands after multiple failed attempts from the Hawaiian Hulk to best him, it opens the door for a returning JAY WHITE to spoil his final night, wrecking Naito’s legs with a ladder, allowing Zack to advance on 14 points! As for B Block, a draw between Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada on the final night puts the Commonwealth Kingpin through, the rivals meeting one more time! Other key underlying stories see Shibata finally beating Okada, Ospreay avenging his Takagi loss, PAC beating his fellow LIJ members but losing to SANADA, and KONGOH causing ruckus throughout the competition.

Perhaps the focal reason for Naito not making the Finals, KONGOH’s tournament chicanery, as led by KENOH, was a masterfully crafted plan. After losing to Tetsuya in last year’s LIJ vs KONGOH series at Wrestle Kingdom 17, the thought of ruining the Stardust Genius for vengeance never left the Rogue Fist’s mind, and with his win over Tetsuya in the G1, their score is now 1-1. Reigniting the intense rivalry between the two stables, they have an upgraded rematch to their Wrestle Kingdom 16 5-on-5, both sides having greatly changed since then.
​
Once again, PAC’s especially adamant to claim the spotlight, the loss to SANADA making him temperamental despite having the 2nd best LIJ record in this year’s tournament. An argument breaking out between PAC and Shingo as to who should get the pin is put on ice by Naito, though it doesn’t keep Titan from eating a nasty PFS from KENOH, handing the invaders the win!

KONGOH def. Los Ingobernables de Japon (19:57)
​
Redeeming WK16, KENOH offers the angriest of satisfied smiles, the group cackling as they gesture belts around their waists, warning that their business isn’t yet over. LIJ left behind, there’s a sour mood in the air from the loss, though when Shingo offers a fist in apology, PAC, taking a look at a nodding Naito, ultimately returns one, showing that despite popular belief, LIJ’s still fine.

Splitting off for Shingo and co. to gear up for KONGOH’s second wave whilst Naito and PAC are scheduled for AEW’s ALL IN supershow, this time taking place in Tetsuya’s home of the Tokyo Dome, both men are set for defences on the show. In PAC’s case, it’s a rematch against J6G’s SANADA, the Bastard adamant to gain Naito’s favour by beating the traitor. As for Naito, he has Jay on his tail!
​
Until the recent G1, White refused to show his face on any sort of NJPW programming (including Forbidden Door) since being embarrassed at Okada’s hands and having his faction torn to shreds. Leaving Japan to join AEW, no longer having connections to hide behind nor help him, he was forced to be the lone wolf for once, becoming even more merciless, knowing he’s all he has. After spreading chaos abroad, most recently coming up short in the AEW World Championship picture, trauma from his Okada loss clinging onto him anytime the stakes are raised too high again, he decided it was time to return to his roots to clear his head and eliminate any shred of weakness left in his body so that he can claim the top prize again, and there’s no better place to do so than the building his title was taken from him – the Tokyo Dome.

The last time he faced Naito in the Tokyo Dome, he had Gedo by his side, yet still lost. Now though, he declares if he’s to have this match, he wants a compensatory factor. A means of looking out for himself, like Naito has LIJ. He’s already beaten Tetsuya thrice in singles competition, knowing he’s the better wrestler, so this time… HE WANTS A LADDER MATCH!!! Japan’s become more and more geared to the Western market, the culture shifting from traditions, so unless he’s a snob like Okada, he'll embrace the new vision and accept the challenge. Jay using the perfect words to get under Tetsuya’s skin, he accepts, looking to tear down the foundations of the Rainmaker’s regime with his reign, starting with this!

The night before ALL IN features a special RevPro crossover event with their partners, NJPW, the 12th Anniversary being celebrated in Japan. Naturally, Naito tags with the most RevPro familiar member of LIJ, PAC, the two champions battling the celebrated Knight Dynasty, who are considered the present and future of the promotion! What begins as a fun exhibition sees more of the differences between PAC and Naito come to light, the hot-headedness of the Bastard and the collectedness of El Ingobernable wanting different things out of the match, yet still managing to remain reasonably on the same page. A close call on a 619 from Ricky sees Naito shove PAC out the way in the nick of time, absorbing the blow himself, though without acknowledging it, PAC springs to action, a Black Arrow on Zak scoring the victory!

As the referee approaches LIJ with their titles, PAC’s quick to receive both, Naito only recovering just in time to find the Bastard lingering for a moment as he looks between the pieces of gold, before finally handing Tetsuya’s over him and walking off, leaving the leader confused yet unconcerned.

With no Gedo around, Jay’s focus is to demolish Naito’s already tattered knees with the ladder like he did to cost Tetsuya the G1, slowing down each climbing attempt bit by bit. Given the two’s creativity, it’s a sick warfare of increasingly dangerous spots, Naito taking Jay with him to neck bump city, White cruelly massacring Tetsuya’s body with reckless abandon.

White’s notably more in his element here, letting the Tokyo Dome atmosphere heal him whilst hurting Naito. A HANGING BLADE RUNNER cuts a Stardust Press attempt short, the magic only lasting once, but a ladder bridge CANADIAN DESTROYER buys Naito some momentum back! Ultimately, a war atop the ladder sees Naito boot Jay off, allowing him to unhook the gold to retain!

Still, he wishes Naito good luck for Wrestle Grand Slam, telling him he wants to see the belt on him when they go England. But for now, the end of his trilogy against KENOH awaits!

As two men that could not be more opposite collide, it’s an intense war over the company’s possession, everyone from fans to wrestlers on the edge of their seats as the last of the NOAH invaders try to leave their mark. KENOH shows nothing but hatred towards Naito for ruining his past chances, whilst Tetsuya savours his every moment in the Sun, having slaved away to hold this belt. A PFS almost does Naito in, whilst the DESTINO does the same for KENOH! Ragdolling the older star with Dragon Suplexes, KENOH sets up for the ENRIN… BUT IN HIS STARDUST PRESS MOMENT, HE MISSES!!! DESTINOOOOOOOOOO!!! ONE! TWO! THREE!!! New Japan remains safe in the hands of Naito!

Offering a handshake to KENOH out of respect for their series… the Rogue Fist declines it, though from the look in his fiery eyes, an inkling of acknowledgement is there for Tetsuya. Telling Naito to keep the belt warm for him, he declares he’ll be back sometime again, and when that happens, he’s going to usurp Naito once and for all!

And as they leave with their 50/50 successes, it’s back to LIJ to end the show on their usual note… except, PAC interrupts the tradition. He’s confused, no, he’s incredulous. What are they celebrating here? Failure? Or are they calling it ‘survival’? Is no one going to point out the elephant in the room? Just two months ago they were on top of the world, all draped in gold, but now they’re left with just Naito and the Lucha Bros’s gold. And yet, they’re celebrating? He’s been out here losing sleep over his missing US Title!

If they wish to continue to be taken seriously, they need to act the part. Luckily… he has a solution. They say iron sharpens iron, so rather than fighting these large-scale wars outside their stable… why not have a ‘friendly’ within? Naito has the title and an incredible row of suitors before him, so he should pick one to defend against! Tetsuya seems perturbed by the idea knowing what almost happened the last time LIJ fought within, but as PAC insists, even pointing out how he’s the only one with a clean record over Naito… Tetsuya turns to him and raises the title! If such claims are going to be made, they need to be backed up too! Challenging PAC with his title on the line, a grinning Bastard accepts, bumping his fist!

Slyly manoeuvring his way into the title rematch he’s desired ever since getting a taste of the gold against Shingo last year, this is more so PAC’s chance to prove himself over the statement he’s seeming to be making. Nonetheless, with various combinations of LIJ facing Death Triangle over the Burning Spirit tour, they supposedly rely on each other to improve their own skill, these 6 especially drawing the very best out of each other. Working more seamlessly with DT than he had LIJ as of late, the freakish chemistry between the AEW lads has a Fear FactoDouble Stomp/Black Arrow combo end Hiromu, PAC grinning as he stares down Naito, the challenge growing closer by day…

Giving a brief interview heading into the match at Royal Quest, Naito states that he can’t be certain on what PAC’s intentions are, but all he knows is that no matter what, LIJ sticks together. If this match is what PAC needs for his peace of mind, then it’s all his. All he can hope is the Bastard has the same idea of family in mind.

Getting sick of the temperature swings on my WSM and messing around with charcoal and air vents. I've been using WSM's for 3 years now so I know what I'm doing pretty well but I'm just kind of over it. I would also love the ability to do much longer brisket cooks at lower temps than I can do on the WSM, and possibly use the grill as a warmer for extended rests as well.
I know its possible to make great BBQ on a pellet smoker but I'm curious if anyone made the switch and regretted it, or knows what the best one to buy would be.

Wondering were I can get the best deal for hats, taunts, and other stuff like that.

Thank you all for the great advice, and no thanks to the alarmists. I got a lot of DMs offering advice, potential buyers, and asking for updates. I learned a lot, so I figured I'd share. TL;DR at bottom.
My original situation, in a nutshell was that I had $250k in liquid assets to meet $1.3mm in capital commitments over ~2.5-3 years ($100-150k/qtr). I had excess savings of about $100k/yr annually after expenses, taxes, and conservative modelling of RE syndication distributions. Over the 3yr horizon, that is a total of $550k for my $1.3mm in commitments. I was in over my skis.
I was initially calm when I made the post, hoping for some sage advice. I had 1-2 quarters of runway, plenty of assets to sell, as illiquid as they may be, and some additional options depending on how much of my pride I wanted to swallow.
After reading some of the comments, I started to panic, thinking the situation was dire, that I needed to firesale high quality illiquid assets that I had accumulated, and that I would potentially have to wind down my firm and go back to big tech during a recession, and that my wife and baby's lifestyle were at significant risk. That was completely wrong.
The best advice I received, bar none, was to talk to some GPs, explain the situation, and discuss options. I prioritized the largest uncalled commitments and GPs I knew well personally. I spoke to 5 of the 7 fund GPs and here is a summary of what I found out.
1) Every single one of the GPs said I am not the first person to approach them with this issue. There are a lot of LPs, big and small, with liquidity issues.
2) Two of the five GPs I spoke with, without hesitation, asked me how much of my commitment I wanted to take down and said they could make that happen (one immediately on the call, the other a few hours later). One with no cost to me (another investor would assume my remaining calls as part of the fund's final close) and the other for nominal legal fees to assign the remaining interest to the new LP. Neither of these included a haircut or dilution to my current fund position. In total, this reduces my unfunded capital calls by $400k to $900k.
3) While the other three GPs understood and empathized with my situation, they mostly stated that they cannot reduce my commitment without some punitive costs. Some required me to sell full fund stake (including already committed capital) to another LP most likely at a steep discount to FMV, others shared that my existing position would be diluted (two or three different ways based on different LPAs). I did not avail myself of these unattractive options.
4) Even for the GPs that were unable to help, they all mentioned that their deployment pace has slowed, and they expect to call capital over a longer period of time, which buys me some extra time.
5) MOST importantly, almost all the GPs asked me about direct company shares I had, and offered to make introductions to potential buyers for the attractive positions. Most of my positions were too small for the institutional buyers, but a number of the HNW LPs expressed interest. I was able to reach an agreement to sell 1 position for 5% above it's 1Q23 market value (the fund manager marked the position down 40% from the last financing round, the buyer offered 5% over that value after I initially declined to sell), about $350k after taxes. I am also close to selling one more position for a 30% discount to the latest financing round, for ~$250k after taxes.
Original unfunded capital commitment: $1.3mm Current unfunded capital commitment: $900k
Original liquidity: $250k Post-Sale liquidity: $850k (assuming buyer signs the second deal)
TL;DR - Got out of some capital commitments with no penalty, and sold two direct positions leaving me with more liquidity than the unfunded capital commitments.
