2023.06.03 04:23 TechnicDruid Does anyone have any advice on this?

I'm a closeted trans girl, but I do still look kinda feminine with long hair and painted nails, my mom wants to take me to this teen church group thing cuz I'm homeschooled, does anyone know if I'll do ok in a group like this with being feminine and all? Also it's in a suburban semi conservative part of California

2023.06.03 04:21 Melodic-Purpose-4412 Two things: Unexplained weight loss, diabetes concerns

Has anyone experienced weight loss from Vit D? Lost 40 lbs in last 1 1/2 years. Weight hit a plateau in the last couple of months, it seems. Diet and exercise unchanged. Other PCOS symptoms unchanged (irregular periods [before BC], chin hair). Thyroid ok. Only difference I can think of was I started taking Vit D. Doctor said no cause for concern cause I’m at a healthy BMI. Really? Smh. How can I maintain this if I have no idea was causing it?
Second q: What tests should I actually get for PCOS? I was diagnosed at 20 due to cysts, period, chin hair. I’m 27 now. Never had hormone level test done. Growing concerned diabetes is in my future due to my diet, PCOS risk factor, family history. A1c is 5.6, within range. Am I good with just that reading? I really wanted to talk to an endocrinologist to get a full read, but my doc said no need, you’re on BC, that’s enough. Should I push for more?

2023.06.03 04:20 grainlens Body dysmorphia or gender dysphoria?

TLDR: I've consistently hated my secondary sex characteristics but since repression was my way of surviving childhood, I've learned to live with the daily discomfort. Exploring my identity and preferences was neither allowed nor safe so I struggle with the connection of body feelings and identity. Some feelings were amplified by the abuse or the ways I coped with it but I don't think they originate from it. Does this sound more like body dysmorphia or gender dysphoria to yall? Any other thoughts would also be greatly appreciated!
I'm 22, AFAB, and have a history of childhood neglect and abuse. My life path was decided by my malignant narcissist father before I was born, and my mother demanded perfect behavior to "avoid conflict." It was all resistance and survival so when my parents finally divorced, I was 14 and had basically no idea who I was. I got through school until age 18 when I burned out, got depressed, and eventually got diagnosed with ADD. I've always hated my feminine name but haven't come up with anything that would feel right.
I've stuffed down all kinds of emotions so when I got breasts at age 9-10, I numbed out the loathing and disgust. I remember feeling slightly disappointed that I wouldn't get broad shoulders or a voice break at that age. I learned to speak as low as possible and can only tolerate my voice after a long bike ride in freezing weather. My father commented on my older sister's puberty in very cruel and derogatory ways, and I wanted to avoid that at all costs. What I learned from that was that if I "got fat" I'd "get wider" which terrified me, so I skipped meals throughout ages 13-17 thinking my hips wouldn't get wider (didn't work.) After the divorce I got into makeup and put on a physical mask of societal expectations to hide how destroyed I felt inside.
During my year of sick leave for burnout, I no longer had to look perfect and feminine. Among the general shittiness I started noticing that I only recognized myself in the mirror without makeup and with my shoulder-length hair hidden in a ponytail. I got rid of the makeup, got a crew cut (massive relief!) and I've never had anything longer than a quiff since. I could no longer wear dresses or skirts because I felt naked and inappropriate in them, like wearing only underwear to a job interview. I'm most comfortable in masculine or unisex clothing that hides my hips and highlights my shoulders. I only wear compressive sports bras and have caught myself thinking I wouldn't hesitate at all to get a double mastectomy if I had the gene that makes breast cancer (and other cancers?) more likely (don't think I have it.)
I struggle with knowing what I'd like to do for a living or what I like in general unless there's a clear body signal associated. I didn't think about being a girl except when being defined as such limited my curiosity, but I've never seen myself as nor accepted being referred to as a woman. If I could choose I'd have been born male. However, I can't tell if that's a fantasy of being strong enough to beat my father to a pulp or if there's anything to the vague feeling that masculinity "comes naturally" to me and femininity has always been imposed or deliberately performative.
Wow, you actually read all that? Thank you! I think I've reached a limit with introspection and general research. Maybe you have some thoughts on this?

2023.06.03 04:20 throwaway_03233313 WIBTA for being persistant and asking my mom to let me drive?

Background information: I (16M) just recently got my learner's permit to drive (located in United States), something that I'm very excited about, as I've loved cars as long as I could remember, have downloaded pretty much every driving game on my computer and have been longing to be able to drive for quite a while. My mom (57F) and dad (48M) have let me get into the driver's seat of a car from when I was only 12 or 13, just letting me turn the car on on a cold day in the winter to let it warm up, little things like that. Now that I've been driving for a little over three months, this is where my problem has started.
My dad has no problem letting me drive. He's expressed since the day I got my permit he would let me drive, within permit restrictions. Whether that's on the highway or just a regular side road, he's totally okay with it. His whole idea is that if I don't get the experience driving on the highway, in traffic, etcetera, then I'll never learn and experience different scenarios. I'm not only incredibly grateful that my dad trusts me, but also that I've been exposed to cars and driving simulator games for a long time, so it was not that much of a shock getting into the driver's seat for my first time out on the road.
When it comes to my mom, though, while she does let me drive places, it's not to the extent that my father does. She'll let me drive home from my school when she picks me up at the end of the day, but even then sometimes she won't let me, saying "oh, not today, I just want to get home", as if its gonna take me a way longer time to drive home then her (because I actually go the speed limit). Or if we have to run to the local store, she'll say something like "I want to get there and just get back home, maybe next time". That leaves me thinking why I should even bother asking if there's always an excuse?
Every weekend, my mom and dad and I go out to dinner. Just one night a week to relax, and enjoy a nice night out as a family. The restaurant we go to is about 30 minutes away from our house, and is mostly highway driving. My mom has been extremely hesitant to let me drive on this occasion. My dad has expressed how he's totally okay with it as he wants me to get the experience. Just last week, my dad said to my mom how I should drive, and she just responded with "no, I just want to drive today", and we left it at that. She has let me drive to this restaurant on a few other occasions, but not without a lot of convincing, and afterwards, I've felt like an asshole because deep down, I know my mom doesn't want me to drive at all.
I feel as if this story is all over the place, but what I'm asking is WIBTA if I ask my mom to let me drive more often, even if its not when we are going out to dinner? It seems like she never wants me to drive, and is always hesitant when I ask her. I want her to trust me, and to let me gain the experience I need to pass my road test, but I don't want to become an asshole in the process.

2023.06.03 04:18 Correct-Truck6192 Ways to hide piercings from religious family and friends

Hi everyone, I posted a month ago about my piecing trauma and I've been in an endless cycle of thought for the last couple of years on if it would be physically possible to even hide piercings. Currently, I'm wearing fake earrings whenever I go out and then taking them off before I step back into my house. I still am at home with my parents as I work on my major and they are extremely religious. Is there any way to hide new ear piercings, eyebrow piercings, or even a nose piercing?
I know piercings are meant to be visible, but idk. Maybe I'm just being impatient and wanting to live my own life too quickly. Hell, I can't even shave the sides of my hair without getting harsh judgement from my family. Does anyone have piercings that they hide from their religious family and friends? Should I just say fuck it and get my ears pierced again and see how my family reacts again? If someone knows of a way, I would be FOREVER indebted to you. I'm all over the place and in this weird limbo of having 0 individuality and expression while others around me are able to do as they please. It just ticks me off knowing others have supportive families and groups and I have LITERALLY nothing to help me. What makes it even worse is that I have no one in my family who I can even discuss this with other than my sister and even she thinks it's a morally questionable decision as she thinks it isn't right for men to get body modifications. I would feel so much more secure if I was able to present the way I wanted, but no. Of course Allah has to disapprove and I always hear the same old "bUT iTs nOt a mUsLIm lOoK." The reason I disagree with this so heavily is simply because... Who the fuck needs to know what my religion is? Whether I'm atheist, agnostic, Islamic, whatever, why does the way I present matter? I thought it was what's on the inside that matters and that Allah will be the one to judge? This is all according to what I was taught since childhood. Everything literally has loopholes and hypocrisy written all over it, I can't deal with it anymore. The more I think about it, the more I can feel my IQ points leaving my brain. It's gotten to the point where I am starting to get angry everytime I am guilt tripped into going to jumuah (Friday obligatory prayer)

2023.06.03 04:16 Massive_Level_7127 Will Bone Conduction Headset phones Damage Your Hearing?

Will Bone Conduction Headset phones Damage Your Hearing?
Bone conduction headset phones are becoming more and more popular among sports enthusiasts. Driven by them, more and more people are interested in this new type of headphones. To help you better understand them, here are some facts about this type of headphones.
  1. Bone conduction headset phones are new headphones developed using bone conduction technology, which transmits sound through bones;
  2. They do not cover the ears, nor do they need to be inserted into the ears;

  1. They will not damage the ears, they are the healthiest headphones for the ears. Because their sound transmission does not require the use of the eardrum, damage to the eardrum and auditory hair cells is minimal.
  2. Bone conduction headset phones are not noise-canceling headphones. They don’t sound as perfect as traditional noise-canceling headphones. But if you’re using them for normal music listening, their sound quality is perfectly fine.
  3. Bone conduction is a mature technology, bone conduction headphone is a new application of this mature technology, and you can use it with confidence;
  4. Bone conduction headset phones are not headphones with external speakers. It relies on the vibration unit to generate mechanical vibrations, and the sound is transmitted to the inner ear to make people hear the sound.
  5. Bone conduction headset phones generally have better waterproof performance. Their sound generation and sound transmission methods make them not need to reserve holes in the fuselage, and the entire headphone can be integrated.
  6. They will have a slight sound leakage problem. But some better products handle sound leakage better.

Will bone conduction headset phones Damage Your Hearing?

Bone conduction headset phones do not damage hearing, in fact, they are the headphones that cause the least damage to hearing, and are very healthy and safe for the ears.
Bone conduction headset phones do a good job of protecting the eardrum. Because the eardrum is not required to produce sound and transmit sound, it avoids possible damage to the eardrum caused by sound wave vibration. When they transmit sound, they don’t need to use the ear canal, and they don’t need to be plugged into the ear canal or wrap the ear canal when they are used, so they can keep the ear canal clean and hygienic, thereby minimizing ear diseases such as otitis media.

Bone conduction headset phones do less damage to the cochlea. Because the vibration waves of bone conduction are relatively gentle and stable, they cause little damage to the cochlea.
In addition, bone conduction headset phones have very little damage to the auditory nerve, because their electromagnetic waves are very weak, which is the same intensity as the electromagnetic waves existing in nature, so they will not cause damage to the human brain and hearing nerves.
Therefore, bone conduction headset phones not only do not damage hearing but also protect hearing well. Compared with traditional in-ear headphones, they are healthier and safer for the ears.
In addition to health and safety, bone conduction headset phones have many advantages, such as they are more comfortable to wear, have a high waterproof level, and can be suitable for more sports scenes, etc. These unprecedented advantages have also made the headphones more and more popular.
If you are interested in bone conduction headset phones, here are some excellent headphones for you all.

1, Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headset phones

Reason for recommendation:
Wissonly bone conduction headset phones are the first brand I started to contact. When they recommended it on the online crowdfunding platform, I noticed it, after saw that many people were recommending, and I bought it. This Hi runner I used for a few months, and the overall performance was better than I expected.
Some bone conduction headset phones leak sound, and you know that I take privacy very seriously, so I’m very concerned about anti-sound-leakage technology. Wissonly Hi Runner does a very good job in the field. Its body is sealed, and through structural optimization and algorithm adjustment, its sound leakage is minimized. The official claim they can eliminate 90% of sound leakage. I do not have professional equipment to test, but I have tried and found that at 60%-70% volume, the sound is completely inaudible at a distance of 1.5 meters, which makes me very satisfied. I have actually compared it with other bone conduction headset phones, and the Wissonly Hi Runner has currently the best sound leakage reduction solution in bone conduction headset phones.
The Wissonly Hi Runner is also particularly comfortable in the wearing experience. Because the material of the whole machine is high-tech hypoallergenic silicone, and it is coupled with the ergonomic design that conforms to the structure of the human ear, so that users will not bring any burden to the ear under long-term wear.
Sound quality as the core performance is undoubtedly worth mentioning. Wissonly Hi Runner uses a large-sized vibration unit, the sound range is wider, the sound is more three-dimensional and deeper, so the sound quality is undoubtedly very good. And it is also equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 chip, the connection is more stable. And it will not be disconnected when used, which is a good experience. The Wissonly Hi Runner also comes with 32GB of built-in storage that can store 5,000 songs, so you can use it completely as an MP3 player to enjoy music without your phone when you go out for a run.

2.Philips A8606 bone conduction headset phones

Reason for recommendation:
The most peculiar point of Philips is that it is equipped with LED night running lights at the rear end of the fuselage, and the A8606 is also the same. The back of both sides of the headphones has rain-shaped lights flashing, wearing it at night can make people around you alert to your location. And turning on them during exercise can improve the safety factor, and night travel can also achieve the effect of not being collided. The Bluetooth version of 5.0 can maintain the smoothness of listening to songs at a short distance, and the 13.3mm vibrator makes it have a good performance in sound quality.

3.AfterShokz OPENRUN PRO bone conduction headset phones

Reason for recommendation:
All-weather sports companionship. The body weight of Afershokz Openrun Pro headphones is only 26 grams, but it has up to 8 hours of long battery life. It supports IP67 super standard waterproof grade, is not afraid of sweat and rain, and not afraid of the challenges brought by bad weather. It is a trustworthy all-weather running headphones. However, it is not professional-grade waterproof after all, and it is not suitable for swimming and diving, so you must consider it clearly before purchasing.

4.earsopen PEACE Bone Conduction Headset

Reason for recommendation:
Earsopen was born in Tokyo, Japan, and is a brand of bone conduction headset phones owned by BoCo Co., Ltd. Earsopen PEACE TW-1 is the first Bluetooth headphones with left-right separation among bone conduction products. Because the sounding unit is small and closer to the ear canal, the sound leakage is also very small. The main body of the headphone is T-shaped, and the ear clip is adopted. Comfort is not as high as the first two models, but this way of wearing is really the only one. If you must choose TWS’s one, it’s good.

5.Nank Runner CC3 bone conduction headset phones

Reason for recommendation:
Among entry-level headphones, the Runner CC3 still performs well. Its body is wrapped in a layer of skin-friendly material, which will not feel uncomfortable to wear during exercise, and the firmness is also good, which can firmly lock the headphones on the ears.
It also has an MP3 mode with 4G memory, which can save nearly 1,000 songs. You can enjoy listening to songs without a mobile phone. The waterproof level and battery life are average, and it is not suitable for swimming.
It should be noted that among the five products, Wissonly and Philips are my favorites. Philips is a big brand, and its cost performance will be a little poor. I have used Wissonly for a long time. It works very well. The key is that it is very cost-effective and worth buying.

We’re both African American. And I’m 14w4d. I was really banking on him being negative but no luck. Since we’re silent carriers versus full on carriers does that make our odds better than 1 in 4? 2023.06.03 04:13 jzion33 iron banner bug poll

i want to test community sentiment based on what i’ve read from others in the community. people seem to want the bug to remain active as a farm for weapon xp and the vendor rep.
i feel like part of the community would be upset the games are ending quickly if the matchmaking, meta etc were in a better spot but i also realize a large portion just wants loot fast and does not care about anything else regardless of what they say. i’ve got my own thoughts if this poll gets a decent outreach.
so, if the meta/game were in a more widely populaacceptable state, would you still want the bug to remain active for the fast rep or would you be upset games were ending fast?

Unmarried couple with newborn, signed VDOP, and child has my last name… no DNA test but starting to think I should get one to be sure…
Me and an ex girlfriend of mine, who was actually more like a fling conceived a child, and the child is about three months old now the mom has made it increasingly more and more difficult to see the child. She moved 100 miles away from me and it is now telling me if I don’t travel the entire hundred miles each direction that I can’t see my kid which to me just sounds ridiculous because I feel like it should be a mutual effort on both parts. Anyways, I’m trying to figure out the reason why she is acting this way, and she lives at home at her mom‘s house she does not have a job. She does not go to school. She is just a full-time parent and mother but when I have attempted to try to take the my son for a weekend or for a week or for any length of time she has intentionally lied to me and misrepresented facts as far as my ability to take him I’m not trying to take him from her. I’m not trying to keep him from her. I just want equal parenting time and I don’t feel like it’s my fault because she had to move 100 miles away to go live for free at her mommies house. It seems like that should be her problem and she should have to work on that just as much as I should have to. I have two full-time jobs. I do not have time to travel back-and-forth 200 miles round-trip just the flip of a switch the way she makes it sound. It’s like she visions them right down the street when they were in fact, almost in an entirely different county, so my question is, are there any tax benefits or any kind of monetary benefit that she could get from having a child even though she’s not the one supporting him her mother is which is upsetting in itself because I’m trying to support him and she’s refusing to let me instead of making her elderly mother shoulder all of that, and then acting as if I’m going to steal my own son from her. It’s very ridiculous and very upsetting.

Where do I go from here
Hi everyone, after 5 years of research I decided to do a DNA test with Ancestry. What exactly does all of this mean? Where do I go from here? What do I do now to learn more about my family? Family tree showed a lot of Native American 8/9/10 generations up, why is that not showing up? It is all wrong? What exactly is “England and Northwestern Europe”? “Germanic Europe”? Why are all my communities post-immigration, why are none about Ireland or Germany pre-immigration?

2023.06.03 04:09 Alternative_Map3496 What adjustments are actually provided to people with disabilites apart from extra time?

I have applied for a lot of jobs and I am disabled. I have a long list of conditions all of which have been diagnosed by a chartered physchologist. I always click the disability box and they ask do you need any extra support apart from extra time for the physchometric tests which are untimed and interviews but when I saw examples of help with application and interview etc I thought why not as I really struggle with applications and interviews. I have ADHD, OCD, Dyspraxia, GAD, depression and long history of constant headaches. I'm not looking for sympathy or anything but these things and their side effects do effect me greatly. I am taking medication and things are getting better. Due to this I struggle with time management like I am literally clicking submit on the very last minute 1 minute before deadline. I feel like I am educated enough and have good experiences but I cant express myself fully in my application. My applications sometimes do go through to the next stage and sometimes they dont. For things that dont need preparation like physchometric tests I score very highly and finish them quite quickly too and generally score high on IQ tests and exams without studying well more of inability to study or keep concentration for a long time but I pick up things very quickly. For this reason I feel like no one really paid attention to me as I always got by but never excelled or reached my true potential. Anyways going too much of topic what support is actually available? My university used to give me extra time for assignments deadlines and time in exams. I dont even necessarily need extra time just some support. Like when getting therapy and working on these things I found out its quite common for people to have issues like leaving things to the last minute and its human nature but I just dont feel motivated to do anything or do it at the last moment out of guilt. Would it be possible for them to extend deadline after sumbitting and allow for small changes? Thing is when I have deadlines I always rush near the end and if I had like just a day extra I know I could make the work so much better. The thing is though when my university gave me extra time I would still have the same problem of starting late as I would factor in the extension. Whenever I was responsible for doing work for say a group project I would have the same problem but the guilt of letting people down kind of motivated me to work but still I had bad time management and would rush it near the end. However I would then get an extension and perfect it as I would have done the majority and would want the team to do well and not let them down. In those cases I would do much better and my lecturers and learning support noticed it as well and we compared the quality of work. In like group projects though I really dont want to get an extension as it would make me feel ashamed and with group projects I kind of just wanted it to be done with it but when I wrapped things up I used to think just one more day and this will be so much better so I would apply for like a one day extension. So the thing is when I know I have an extension for sure it kind if makes the extension pointless. Its 3A.M right now and my head hurts with this rant so I am just going to sleep but does anyone have any advice? I even miss my interviews because of these things. I make silly mistakes in my applications like copying and pasting the wrong line etc.

2023.06.03 04:05 wtfRichard1 Women’s regs for hair

Have textured hair. No matter what I do to it, it won’t stay straight and it’s too short to put it in a bun. I’ve been growing it out and have an appointment tomorrow to get it cut. My COC scolded me due to “it being textured” (my hair is wavy/curly) I’d say I need about 4-5 months for it to be long enough to tie it up. (I don’t want to grow it long to put it in a bun- I enjoy it being short)
Imo, it doesn’t look crazy. Yea there are some curls but why is it considered out of regs? The back does touch the collar of my uniform but I see other women with shortish hair where it goes past the collar.
Am I in the wrong? I received a counseling chit over it last week.
It does not exceed the bulk of 2”. The top of my hair is at least 1” flat where I part it then my textured hair starts after that.

I’m 21F, 120 pounds, 5’5. I am not on any medication, aside from birth control. I occasionally smoke cigarettes since I’m on vacation.
For the past 3 days it’s felt like I’ve had something stuck at the back of my throat/roof of my mouth. Like a small piece of food or hair, at first I thought it was a toothbrush bristle. Upon examination, I cannot see a thing. It does not hurt, and my throat is not swollen. I don’t have swollen lymph nodes either. No fever ever. I’m wondering if it’s possible if I scratched the back of my throat? Maybe a harmless little bump back there? Any advice is appreciated.

Bluetooth Bone Conduction Headphones’ Side Effect and How Do They Work?
Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are becoming more and more popular among sports enthusiasts. Driven by them, more and more people are interested in this new type of headphones. To help you better understand them, here are some facts about this type of headphones.

  1. Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are new headphones developed using bone conduction technology, which transmits sound through bones;
  2. They do not cover the ears, nor do they need to be inserted into the ears;
  3. They will not damage the ears, they are the healthiest headphones for the ears. Because their sound transmission does not require the use of the eardrum, damage to the eardrum and auditory hair cells is minimal.
  4. Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are not noise-canceling headphones. They don't sound as perfect as traditional noise-canceling headphones. But if you're using them for normal music listening, their sound quality is perfectly fine.
  5. Bone conduction is a mature technology, bone conduction headphone is a new application of this mature technology, and you can use it with confidence;
  6. Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are not headphones with external speakers. It relies on the vibration unit to generate mechanical vibrations, and the sound is transmitted to the inner ear to make people hear the sound.
7. Bluetooth bone conduction headphones generally have better waterproof performance. Their sound generation and sound transmission methods make them not need to reserve holes in the fuselage, and the entire headphone can be integrated.
  1. They will have a slight sound leakage problem. But some better products handle sound leakage better.

What are the side effects of bone conduction headphones?

Many people think that Bluetooth bone conduction headphones have side effects. Some people think that they are harmful to the body because they vibrates the bones to hear the sound which will affect the brain. However, this statement is not accurate. The side effects of bone conduction are very low. The following will clarify the rumors about the side effects of bone conduction one by one.

Side Effects of Bluetooth bone conduction headphones 1: Hearing Damage? rumor!
Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are the most hearing-protective of all headphones. Because the way of bone conduction transmits sound does not need to pass through the eardrum, which can avoid damage to the eardrum. And its vibration waves are very gentle, and the impact on the cochlea is relatively small.
Side effects of Bluetooth bone conduction headphones 2: damage the brain? rumor!
Some people think that the electromagnetic waves of Bluetooth bone conduction headphones will cause damage to the brain nerves. Of course, any electronic product has problems with electromagnetic waves, and strong electromagnetic waves will indeed cause damage to the brain nerves. However, the electromagnetic waves of Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are extremely weak and have the same strength as the electromagnetic waves existing in nature. So it will not cause damage to human brain nerves and hearing nerves.
Side effects of bone conduction earphones 3: Pain after wearing for a long time? Inaccurate!
It is indeed uncomfortable to wear Bluetooth bone conduction headphones for a long time. Long-term wearing here means that the sound unit is attached to the temple and worn for more than 3-4 hours. Usually, there will be no problem wearing it for less than 2 hours. Because even traditional over-ear headphones can be uncomfortable to wear for hours on end.
In addition, some people mentioned that wearing Bluetooth bone conduction headphones for a long time, caused pain in the temples. This situation has a lot to do with the individual's physique - it is the individual's physique that causes trigeminal neuralgia.
Therefore, we can know that the side effects of Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are very low. It is a very healthy headphone.
In addition to being very healthy, Bluetooth bone conduction headphones have many advantages, such as safety, comfort, high waterproof level, etc. These advantages determined by their working principles

How do Bluetooth bone conduction headphones work?

The propagation medium of sound includes solid, liquid, and air. In general, there are two ways for sound waves to enter the inner ear of the human body: air conduction and bone conduction. It then travels to the inner ear via the auditory ossicles. Bone conduction is the vibration of sound waves through the bones of the head such as the skull and jaw, which transmits the sound to the inner ear. It is another very important hearing method besides air transmission. People use this method to manufacture many bone conduction hearing devices.

Traditional headphones mainly transmit sound through the air, while Bluetooth bone conduction headphones use the temporal bone of the head to transmit sound. It transmits sound directly to the auditory nerve in the form of sound waves, instead of passing through the air to the eardrum and then to our auditory nerve.
Currently, bone conduction hearing devices mainly include electromagnetic Bluetooth bone conduction headphones and piezoelectric bone conduction headphones. Electromagnetic Bluetooth bone conduction headphones have better working performance, but they have electromagnetic radiation, which is easy to cause harm to the user's body. Piezoelectric Bluetooth bone conduction headphones use piezoelectric vibrators as sounding components. When people wear it the human body is less affected by electromagnetic radiation which also has the advantages of small size and low power consumption.
If you are interested in them, please do not hesitate to buy them. They are definitely worth buying.Next, I will recommend some excellent bone conduction headphones.

1, Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphones

Recommended reason:
Wissonly Bluetooth bone conduction headphones are the first brand I started to contact. When they recommended it on the online crowdfunding platform, I noticed it, after saw that many people were recommending, and I bought it. This Hi runner I used for a few months, and the overall performance was better than I expected.
Some Bluetooth bone conduction headphones leak sound, and you know that I take privacy very seriously, so I'm very concerned about anti-sound-leakage technology. I have actually compared it with other bone conduction headphones, and the Wissonly Hi Runner has currently the best sound leakage reduction solution in bone conduction headphones.

2.Philips 7607 bone conduction headphones

Recommended reason
Its sounding unit adopt a large-size vibrator of 17mm, which makes it have the effect of high, medium and low triple-frequency balance in sound quality performance. The low-frequency dive is sufficient, the medium and high frequencies are clear and not harsh, but there will be some missing sounds. It is also equipped with an intimate LED night run lamp at the rear end of the body, which can turn on the LED by turning on the key three times in a row. It also has three modes, which is suitable for wearing at night, so that people around it can perceive their own position and ensure their own safety factor to a certain extent. Its IPX6 waterproof rating is not afraid of sweat in daily wear.

3.AfterShokz OpenSwim bone conduction headphones

Recommended reason:
The body of the headphone is made of skin-friendly silicone, and its light body is only weighs 36g. It has ergonomic structure of the ear design, no matter running, jumping, wearing glasses without pressure, more intimate details. The waterproof performance of OpenSwim reaches IP68 level, which is suitable for swimmers. A long strip structure design is adopted at the sound generating part, so that the loudspeaker has a larger surface area and higher sound transmission efficiency. With its own 4G memory, it can use as a mp3 player. Its battery life reach 8 hours, no matter about long time using. But this headphones does not support Bluetooth and calling functions.

4.earsopen PEACE TW-1 bone conduction headphones

Recommended reason:
The earsopen PEACE TW-1 headphones can be charged magnetically through the charging case, which is small and convenient to carry around. The headphone shape adopts separate design that is achieved for the first time in the bone conduction industry. The headphone body is a T-shaped design, that adopts the clip-on wearing method. At the same time, it also supports IPX7 waterproof performance. When traveling on rainy days or running to burn fat, there is no need to fear sweat and rain erosion, it can be used with peace of mind.
The T-shaped structure design of earsopen PEACE TW-1 adopts the form of wearing behind the ear with curved support frame. It is more comfortable when worn. But because of the wearing method, the pinna will be a little uncomfortable after wearing for a long time. The sound quality is average, and there is a little sound leakage. But as an innovative style in the bone conduction category, it is also worth considering.

5.Nank Runner CC3 bone conduction headphones

Recommended reason:
Runner CC2 has a solid button area on the outside, which is very convenient to use. The surface of the headphone body is made of soft material, which makes it very comfortable to be attached to the ear. It is really stable to wear with the ear-hanging scheme, supports Bluetooth 5.0, and the earphone signal is very stable during use. The sound quality is quite satisfactory, and the sense of music rhythm and space is well controlled.
Among the above five products, Wissonly and Aftershokz are my favorite. Their sound quality, sound leakage reduction and comfort are all very good. Compared with the two brands,Wissonly' product parameters are better, cost-effective, and worth buying

2023.06.03 03:59 HeartBrick736 Is lethargy normal after cerenia? When to be concerned?

Species/Breed: Dog, Cavapoo/Cavoodle Age: 9mo Sex/Neutered: F, spayed Body weight: 8kg
History / clinical signs: So our pup vomited once on Thursday in the afternoon/evening and then had her dinner and was fine overnight. Then Friday she got up a little later than normal and wasn’t really wanting to eat her food. A few minutes later, she vomited. I think it was mostly bile, but usually her bile is yellow/whitish foam and this was a little darker.
So we took her to the vet yesterday morning (Friday) and he examined her (didn’t do any tests/bloodwork etc.). He asked some questions but in the end suggested that maybe it’s some type of food allergy and for us to not give her anything else besides her normal food (or alternatively chicken and rice for a few days) and water basically. I will admit we do give her a lot of treats and different fruits and vegies (we always check if it’s ok for dogs first) to try (very small amounts!) so I guess it’s possible that it could be a reaction to something.
The vet also gave her a cerenia injection yesterday morning and gave it to us in pill form (1/4 pill every morning) to get her through the weekend. She had her first dose this morning (Saturday).
Her stools have been fine this entire time. Until this morning, when the second time she pooped, there was one log and then the rest of it was mushy and a bit of a puddle. Not completely water but we did have to hose it down.
Besides that, the most concerning for me is that she’s been acting lethargic and sluggish. She’s usually a ball of excitement, she does have slow days but she’s pretty much been lounging around since she woke up 4 hours ago.
I’m wondering if cerenia causes lethargy too? Because yesterday she was the same - a bit slow and tired all morning but then ok-ish the rest of the day, which is maybe as the drug started to wear off?
Just wondering if there’s anything else I can do? When should I be concerned? Anything else I should look out for?

2023.06.03 03:58 Mythical_mongoose TW FOR SH My friends boyfriend hurt himself because of me.

So for as long as I(16F) have known my friend(15F), she’s known I’m bisexual and has been fine with it. I’ve never tried to date her or flirted with her anymore than any of our other friends do platonically. Yesterday she cancelled after school plans we had because of her boyfriend. I asked what was going on and he said “because she’s a lesbian so you can’t go over to her house without supervision. Girls can do whatever they want to each other during pride month.” (I would absolutely NEVER knowingly be a home wrecker or force anything on anybody. Ever.) Today, we had a pride parade at school. All of us got dressed up and I brought glow sticks for my friends. She braided some into my hair and walked with all of us for the parade. And we got Ben and Jerry’s from the food truck my school hired. As a group, not just the two of us. Her boyfriend saw photos of her snap story and asked why she was wearing pride stuff. (She had temporary tattoos I got from one of my teachers and was carrying a flag) She explained the pride parade and that we all dressed up. He told her he “didn’t want to date anybody who supported that” Later on she asked if she could come over to my house, then decided she wanted to stay for another event at school that I was skipping. I asked if everything was okay with her boyfriend, she said yes. A few hours ago we made plans to go to a pride event tomorrow. I said if she wanted she could come over, we’d eat and get ready and go together. She was all for it. About an hour ago she commented on one of my TikToks saying “All I can say is (bfs name) I’ll explain Monday” I tried to text her asking what was going on and found out she blocked me on snap. When I finally got ahold of her, she told me he cut himself to a point he may need stitches because he worried she was cheating on him with me. So she blocked me and changed my name in her contacts. MAJOR TW FOR SH AND SUICIDE She doesn’t know this. Nobody does. But a while ago, one of my friends started talking about how nobody answered them in group chats and nobody cared for them, constantly mentioning suicide. I tried to answer whenever I could, but sometimes I’d miss their messages. Not long after they called me telling me they did “something bad.” They told me they’d cut themselves and when I asked why their speech was slurred, I found out they had taken a drug and alcohol cocktail. I didn’t know their location besides they were in a different country, so I wasn’t able to get police or anybody to help. They never answered me again and I presume they passed. So this thing w my friend’s bf is hitting me really hard. Another person who hurt themself bc of me. I am trying so incredibly hard not to do something to hurt myself. I know it’d make things worse for my friend and it’s not a good idea, but I can’t get over the thought that I deserve it. I made other people hurt. I don’t want her feeling like she has to choose between her friend and boyfriend but I am seriously struggling.

2023.06.03 03:57 expandybanters Any upload in home network causes frame drop in Twitch?

I sync my work PC at home to the cloud whenever it is powered on. I have applied a 10% network limit to my work PC during the times that I stream on my gaming PC, so I don't potentially occupy too much upload bandwidth. My ISP has a 20mbps upload limit, so 2mbps upload is the limit on my work PC when I stream on the other PC. I can see 2mbps in use in Task Manager on the work PC. Even with 10% limit, I see up to 75% frame drops in stream. If I turn off the cloud upload on work PC, the stream on my gaming PC is immediately back to normal. I have tested this about 6 times, so I know for certain it's the culprit. I have tried many speeds for upload, and yet it still causes frame drop. The same occurs if I perform any uploads on my work PC above 1mbps.

I don't mind switching off uploads entirely, but it just seems odd? I have run multiple tests of my ISP's upload capacity by simply observing network performance in Task Manager, and using multiple Internet speed tests, and it's very consistently 20mbps, as I have a reliable ISP. So it's not an issue with fluctuating upload capacity.

I assume something else is going on in the way my network prioritizes traffic, other than simply the bandwidth usage? Does twitch mark stream traffic with lower priority traffic on a home network perhaps?
