2023.05.27 21:06 demonchicken1 Stoneblock 3 world invisible, how do I fix?
2023.05.26 19:10 Pactyas Mekanism reactor explodes all the time when trying to start up the world.
I have been playing stoneblock 3 for a while now, and I noticed that every time when I close the game, and come back later, upon loading the world the fission reactor from mekanism just explodes. No radiation or anything, and it was also full of water when I logged off. I tried doing the logic Redstone thing, which as I tested worked, and turned itself off when temperature was too high, so that also can't be the problem. And since it has also never exploded while I was playing, I came to the conclusion that something happens between the save & exit and load world.
I have no idea what to do, I would appreciate any kind of advice.

2023.05.26 01:27 Termanater13 What is the best way to split stacks from belts?
I'm playing FTB StoneBlock 3 and looking for an easy way to split up a stack as it travels along a belt. When I use a brass funnel set to filter 16 cobblestone to be pulled off the belt, it pulls the full stack instead of just 16. I plan to keep the processing of the cobble topped off before giving me the overflow for building and crafting. The only way I can fix this is to use a tunnel to split the stack and route each split to each before routing it to my overflow chest. I don't want to use this solution as it creates unnecessary belts to navigate and troubleshoot.
Before anyone asks, I use a brass funnel to only allow full stacks of cobble in the system. I expect that there will be more cobble generated than the system needs. I also want to use this split for other areas of this system to guarantee a flow of other resources the system produces, like sand and gravel, but I may come up with better solutions if needed when the resources come in.

2023.05.25 07:53 neotic_reaper [Stoneblock 3] My environmental controller isn’t working at all and I have no clue why
I have power running into it, a flight module installed, red stone ignored, white list with no names (I tried adding my name but it did nothing), and the radius is large. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, it’s lighting up like it’s working but I get no effect. I even tried adding a slow falling effect but no avail.

2023.05.24 23:12 Matricies2020 Recommendations for Casual Progression based Packs?
What are packs you've played that you come back to time and time again because they demand almost nothing of you other then to just play. I'm looking for something interesting and am willing to step out of 1.12 even.
Packs Im talking about are like:
Stoneblock 1/2 - Casual, Simple progression and are not afraid to reward you with things. Stoneblock 3 is a bit meh for me.
MC Eternal - Casual/somewhat progression based. Exploring will find you finding good stuff if you decide to do so
Awakening: Sky of Diamonds - Insanely good questbook, rewards you for doing things, casual, fun and simple (If a bit memey)
All of these have some level of progression and aren't fully kitchen sink but are not afraid to reward you for doing stuff or exploring and are very casual packs.

2023.05.24 06:46 pythour Crushing wheel driving me insane [Stoneblock 3]
I recently set up a crushing wheel in stoneblock 3, but when I put stuff into it through a chest and chute on top, the results spew everywhere when coming out the other side instead of going into the hopper right under it. They either get behind the wheel somehow or get thrown to the other side of the room. Does anyone know how to fix this? it's actually driving me insane every time I try to use it.

2023.05.23 21:17 Outside_Ad_9691 [Tinkers Construct 3] Issue resolved: How to build Tinkers Construct 3's best XP-gathering weapon.
[NOTE: This is a VERY long post,]
[SECOND NOTE: This weapon idea was tested in Stoneblock 3. In different modpacks, certain materials may or may not have different traits and stats. For example, if you're playing a different modpack than Stoneblock 3, electrum may not have the Experienced trait, or may actually have highelower durability/damage. In fact, your modpack may not even have electrum at all. Therefore, you should adapt the info in this post, if possible, to whatever modpack you may be playing if you're not playing Stoneblock 3.]
In a previous post (this post
here), I was trying to figure out how to create the best XP-gathering weapon that possible. I knew that in order to do that, I had to make a weapon out of pure Electrum, but beyond that, I didn't know what else to do. I didn't know how best to upgrade my weapon. I tried to come up with some ideas on my own, but I didn't have full faith in those ideas. In that post, I asked people to offer me their opinions. One poster said to just make a mob farm if I wanted lots of XP. The other said that I can install a mod called Tinker's Planner. This mod allows you to plan out tools/weapons you would like to make in the future without actually having to use resources. So for example, I can plan out what a full Manyullun sword would be to test its damage capabilites, even if I don't currently have enough Manyullun to make the sword yet. Both these tips were interesting, but (and no disrespect to those two posters) not what I was really looking for.
To clear things up, let me explain some things: Firstly, what even is electrum? Well, electrum is a common material in Minecraft modpacks. It is an alloy of silver and gold. Now, all people with even a cursory level of knowledge about Minecraft know that gold tool/weapons suck, due to their low durability and offensive/defensive capabilities. And since electrum is an alloy with a high gold content, electrum tools/weapons have much the same problems most gold tools have, which, again, are low durability and damage.
So why would I even want to make a weapon out of electrum anyway? Well, in Tinkers Construct, all materials have certain traits. Electrum has the trait Experienced, which lets you gain 50% more experience per block mined/enemy killed. Each electrum tool part has the trait Experienced I. In Tinkers Construct 3, small weapons/tools are made up of 3 parts and large ones are made of 4. So accordingly, when making a tool/weapon completely out of electrum, a small tool would naturally have a trait of Experienced III, and a large one, Experienced IV.
A pure electrum weapon with Experienced II/IV nets you 150%/200% extra XP. In terms of gathering XP, this is pretty good on its own. But I wanted to go further: by using a pure electrum weapon as a medium, I wanted to push a TiCon 3 weapon's XP-gaining ability to it's limit. Plus, I wanted to find a way to deal with electrum's low damage and durability. In my previous post (which again, is
here), you can see all the ways I tried to solve those problems. However, in this post, I reasoned that the best XP-gathering tool was a sword. I'm here to recant that previous conclusion: I now believe that the best pure electrum tool is a cleaver. I plan to explain how in the rest of this post.
[NOTE: To know learn more about what each modifier does and what ingredients each modifier requires, either check JEI or check out
this spreadsheet. You might have to scroll down pretty far in order to see all the modifiers.]
Now, here's what you do. First you make a cleaver out of pure electrum. Cleavers start out with 2 upgrade slots and 1 ability slot. We need more upgrade slots. We can apply the Harmonious, Resurrected, Recapitated and Writable modifiers to get 4 extra upgrade slots. Now we have 6 upgrade slots instead of 2. Now we use 5 of those upgrade slots to add 5 levels of Experienced. That's right; Experienced is an upgrade that you can add to any weapon/tool, even if that tool is made with electrum and already has Experienced naturally. Anyway, our cleaver now has Experienced IX. That is 9 levels of Experienced, or a 450% boost in XP gain. In Tinkers Construct 3, this is the highest XP-gain possible on a single weapon. [By the way, it's important to note that we currently have 1 free unused upgrade slot.]
We've solved the problem of reaching the limit of XP-gain in TiCon 3. Now we need to solve our other two problems: electrum's low damage and durability. Firstly, since we chose to make a cleaver instead of a sword, this aids us in solving both of those problems a bit (an electrum cleaver has 7.75 attack damage and 630 durability, while an electrum sword has 5.5 attack damage and a measly 198 durability). Now switching from a sword to a cleaver increases the durability by a large amount, but only slightly improves our damage. So, to remedy this, we can fire things up a bit. Firstly, we can apply the Gilded modifier to convert our ability slot into two more upgrade slots, leaving us with 3 total. Now we should use all three slots to apply the Fiery modifier, leaving us with Fiery III. Each level of Fiery burns the target for 5 seconds; with Fiery III, the enemy will be burning alive for a full 15 seconds! This obviously helps us with our damage, as the extra ticks of fire damage make up for our low damage. This also helps us with our durability (which isn't as much of a problem anymore since we switched from a sword) as extra damage means we have to swing our weapon less often, thus consuming less durability. The cleaver is a slow weapon, but Fiery III helps here, too: extra ticks of DOT (damage over time) damage means that an enemy will be taking damage not just when we hit them, but even for a period of time afterward; this affords us the luxury of having slower weapon swing times. As an added bonus, all targets will drop cooked food alternatives, when applicable. [Alternatively, you can aim for 3 levels of Sharp to get the Sharpest trait instead. The good thing is you can now do 11.12 damage. The bad thing is that you can't do damage over time, and you don't get cooked food).
Now this weapon is pretty powerful, but it can be made even stronger. Now, you may be asking, "This weapon already gives you 450% extra experience AND burns enemies for 15 seconds. How can this weapon be even MORE powerful?" Well, if we add the Draconic modifier, we can gain back another ability slot, and use it to further improve our weapon.
But what should we do with our new ability slot? Should we give our weapon an ability, or turn the ability slot into two more upgrade slots? There are several choices, so let's go over them all:
Let's assume that we want to keep the ability slot. Now what? Well, the only ability I'm interested in is Luck. Luck is useful on any weapon you plan on using frequently, especially if it's your main weapon. Luck has the effect of Fortune on tools and Looting on weapons. We're going to want to aim for Luckiest (the highest level of Luck). This essentially gives of weapon a Looting III effect. And don't forget: all cleavers naturally have Severing II. Severing gives a 5% chance for mob to drop their head (or other body parts) upon death: an extra 5% is added per level of Luck. So, unless my math's off, Severing II plus Luck III gives you a 40% chance of getting a mob head/other body part. And oh yeah - the chances are doubled against bosses! So, killing a boss with this weapon gives you an 80% chance of getting a mob head (unless, again, my math is off). Getting a wither skull with this may not be nearly as difficult as usual.
But supposed we wanted to use the Gilded modifier to gain two more ability slots. Now what? Well, there are so many options here:
- You can max out Fiery to Fiery V. Now enemies will burn for a full 25 seconds! [Alternatively, you can add two more levels of Sharpness. If you chose Sharpest (Sharp level 3) earlier, you can max out your cleaver's sharpness to Sharpestest (Sharp level 5) and deal 13.38 damage. Or, if you chose Fiery III earlier, you can add 2 levels of Sharp to give your cleaver the Sharper trait (10 attack damage). Now your cleaver has a mix of extra attack damage and fire damage.]
- You can add two levels of Reinforced, Now your cleaver only has a 55% chance of using durability.
- Alternatively, another way to fix the durability problem is with a Netherite upgrade. A Netherite upgrade boosts attack damage by 20% and durability by 20%. As a bonus, the Netherite modifier makes a tool invulnerable when dropped. By "invulnerable", I assume that this makes the tool immune to lava/fire damage, explosions and despawning. You can test this yourself, if you wish. But a Netherite upgrade requires a prior upgrade first: either the Diamond or Emerald upgrade. But which? The Emerald upgrade affords us 50% extra durability and boosts "condtional attack damage". I don't know if "conditional attack damage" applies to Fiery, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't, so I would skip it. I would spring for the Diamond upgrade instead: you gain 500 durability points and half a point of attack damage. Then when you compare the durability levels before the Diamond upgrade, after the Diamond upgrade, and after the Netherite upgrade, the cleaver's durability reads out as 630/2,380/2,856 and the damage reads out as 7.75/10.75/12.7. Meanwhile, when looking at durabilty before an Emerald upgrade, afterwards, and after a Netherite upgrade, the durability reads out as 630/945/1,134 and the attack damage reads out as 7.75/10/11.8. [Although, if you use all three, you get 4,284 durability and 12.7 attack damage. But that requires 3 upgrade slots and we only have two.] {As an added note, if you don't wish to upgrade your cleaver's durability, instead you should carry several electrum repair kits with you in your player inventory at all times.}
- You can add two levels of Necrotic. Necrotic II heals back 45% of the damage dealt when you land a crit. This can be useful in conjunction with the SharpeSharpestest trait you might have added earlier; healing back 45% of the damage dealt with a very high damage weapon will probably keep your health topped off most of the time.
- You can add two levels of Sweeping Edge to deal 67% extra damage with sweeping attacks.
- You COULD add two levels of Swiftstrike to increase speed by 10% (5% per level), but I don't think that it's worth it. 5 levels of Swiftstrike gets a cleaver up to an attack speed of 1.32, which is just under the 1.44 attack speed of a sword (well actually, different Tinkers swords that are made from different materials may have different attack speeds. The sword I'm referring to is one I made from two Nahuatl Tool Handles and a Manyullun Small Blade). So two measly levels of Swiftstrike may not even be worth the time.
- You can add the Worldbound upgrade. This upgrade also makes the tool invulnerable like the Netherite upgrade does, but it doesn't add 20% durability/attack damage like the Netherite upgrade does. And this is a slotless upgrade, meaning that this leaves the other two uprade slots free still.
- You can add the Soulbound modifier, which keeps the tool in your inventory upon death. This uses up only one upgrade slot.
There are other upgrades you can use, but these are the main ones that I care about.
Now, if you don't even have electrum in your modpack, here's an alternative using rose gold:
- Make a cleaver completely out of rose gold. Rose gold has the Enhanced trait, which grants you extra upgrade slots. A Tinkers weapon/tool made fully out of rose gold has 6 upgrade slots (regardless of the tools size/number of parts) instead of 2 or three.
- Give the cleaver the Recapitated, Harmonious, Writable and Resurrected modifiers. Now we have 10 upgrade slots.
- Use 5 upgrade slots for Experienced V.
- Use the remaining 5 for Sharpestest (Sharp level 5).
- Now we have just an ability slot left. What should we do with it? Well, like I said earlier, if this is your main weapon, you should use your ability slot for Luck and upgrade it to Luckiest (Luck level 3).
- Alternatively, you can spring for Sweeping Edge. But two levels or all 4? Well, You can spring for Gilded and use those two upgrade slots for Sweeping Edge II, or you can opt for Gilded II (which requires Draconic first, of course) and then max out Sweeping Edge at Sweeping Edge IV.
- But if you want, you can utilize a combo of the first two ideas: turn your first ability slot into two upgrade slots via Gilded and get two levels of Sweeping Edge, then use the Draconic modifier to get an ability slot back and get the Luckiest modifier.
This cleaver is not as good at getting XP as the electrum cleaver was, but oh well. It at least can out-damage the previous cleaver.
You should also know that rose gold is an alloy of gold like electrum is (but it's an alloy of gold and copper instead of gold and silver), so it also has durability and damage problems. In fact, its' damage and durability are slightly worse. So, you may need a stack of repair kits in your inventory for this cleaver as well.
You may be asking why I focused more on the Sharp upgrade for this cleaver than the previous one as opposed to Fiery. Well, this cleaver has subpar XP-gathering capabilities. And I figured that if I'm going to be building a weapon, it should be at least good at something, so I made it be good at dealing damage instead. I was further incentivized both by the fact that a fully rose gold tool/weapon allows you lots of extra upgrades (which gives you a greater opportunity to maximize your damage potential, an opportunity I decided to take advantage of) and by the fact that since a rose gold cleaver has lower attack damage, it deserves an attack boost even more. Plus, being able to mow down large crowds quicker (via Sharpestest and Sweeping Edge IV) means that you can gain XP quicker, thus partially making up the difference between this weapon's lower Experienced level (Experienced IV) and the other weapon's higher one (Experienced IX).
Well, what do you think? Do you like my weapon ideas? Are you impressed? Let me know in the comments below!

2023.05.19 12:28 cheshirekim0626 What’s your favorite questing mod packs?
I tend to only play questing mod packs because I need the quest line to be able to follow along and know what to do otherwise I’m hopelessly lost. I’m looking for something new to play, I play vault hunters but it’s slow going and I’d like to play something else. I’ve played project ozone 1 and 2, started number 3 but didn’t get as into it. I’ve played stoneblock 1 and 2. I just had surgery today so I will have plenty of time to play minecraft while I heal. Thanks for your suggestions!
Without the structure of quest books, I end up, for example, doing nothing but harvesting trees, animals and crops. Next thing I know 5 hours have passed and that’s all I’ve done other than take occasional sleeping breaks because phantoms annoy me. (Yes I’m speaking from experience here). Or I decide to be like grian, and age copper for several hours (completely pointlessly since I rarely, if ever, use copper in any of my builds).
